Joshua 23:4 רְאוּ֩ See , rə·’ū הִפַּ֨לְתִּי I have allotted hip·pal·tî לָכֶ֜ם lā·ḵem בְּנַחֲלָ֖ה as an inheritance bə·na·ḥă·lāh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶ֑ם to your tribes lə·šiḇ·ṭê·ḵem הָאֵ֛לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥ים remaining han·niš·’ā·rîm הַ֠גּוֹיִם nations , hag·gō·w·yim וְכָל־ including all wə·ḵāl הַגּוֹיִם֙ the nations hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer הִכְרַ֔תִּי I have already cut off , hiḵ·rat·tî מִן־ from min- הַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן the Jordan hay·yar·dên מְב֥וֹא westward mə·ḇō·w הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ . . . haš·šā·meš וְהַיָּ֥ם to the Great Sea wə·hay·yām הַגָּד֖וֹל . . . . hag·gā·ḏō·wl Joshua 23:5 וַיהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem ה֚וּא . . . hū יֶהְדֳּפֵ֣ם will push them yeh·do·p̄êm מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם out of your way mip·pə·nê·ḵem וְהוֹרִ֥ישׁ and drive them out wə·hō·w·rîš אֹתָ֖ם before you ’ō·ṯām מִלִּפְנֵיכֶ֑ם . . . , mil·lip̄·nê·ḵem וִֽירִשְׁתֶּם֙ so that you can take possession of wî·riš·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַרְצָ֔ם their land , ’ar·ṣām כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem דִּבֶּ֛ר promised dib·ber לָכֶֽם׃ you . lā·ḵem Joshua 23:6 מְאֹ֔ד Be very mə·’ōḏ וַחֲזַקְתֶּ֣ם strong, then , wa·ḥă·zaq·tem לִשְׁמֹ֣ר so that you can keep liš·mōr וְלַעֲשׂ֔וֹת and obey wə·la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הַכָּת֔וּב that is written hak·kā·ṯūḇ בְּסֵ֖פֶר in the Book bə·sê·p̄er תּוֹרַ֣ת of the Law tō·w·raṯ מֹשֶׁ֑ה of Moses , mō·šeh לְבִלְתִּ֥י not lə·ḇil·tî סוּר־ turning aside sūr- מִמֶּ֖נּוּ from it mim·men·nū יָמִ֥ין to the right yā·mîn וּשְׂמֹֽאול׃ or to the left . ū·śə·mō·wl Joshua 23:7 לְבִלְתִּי־ So you are not lə·ḇil·tî- בוֹא֙ to associate ḇō·w הָאֵ֔לֶּה with these hā·’êl·leh בַּגּוֹיִ֣ם nations bag·gō·w·yim הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥ים that remain han·niš·’ā·rîm הָאֵ֖לֶּה . . . hā·’êl·leh אִתְּכֶ֑ם among you . ’it·tə·ḵem לֹא־ You must not lō- תַזְכִּ֙ירוּ֙ call on ṯaz·kî·rū וּבְשֵׁ֨ם the names ū·ḇə·šêm אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֤ם of their gods ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem וְלֹ֣א or wə·lō תַשְׁבִּ֔יעוּ swear by them , ṯaš·bî·‘ū וְלֹ֣א and you must not wə·lō תַעַבְד֔וּם serve them ṯa·‘aḇ·ḏūm וְלֹ֥א [or] wə·lō תִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ bow down ṯiš·ta·ḥă·wū לָהֶֽם׃ to them . lā·hem Joshua 23:8 כִּ֛י Instead kî אִם־ . . . , ’im- תִּדְבָּ֑קוּ you shall hold fast tiḏ·bā·qū בַּיהוָ֥ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר as ka·’ă·šer עֲשִׂיתֶ֔ם you have done ‘ă·śî·ṯem עַ֖ד to ‘aḏ הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm Joshua 23:9 יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וַיּ֤וֹרֶשׁ has driven out way·yō·w·reš גְּדֹלִ֣ים great gə·ḏō·lîm וַעֲצוּמִ֑ים and powerful wa·‘ă·ṣū·mîm וְאַתֶּ֗ם . . . wə·’at·tem
