מָֽה־ ‘ What māh- הַזֶּה֙ is this haz·zeh אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer מְעַלְתֶּם֙ breach of faith mə·‘al·tem הַמַּ֤עַל you have committed ham·ma·‘al הַיּ֔וֹם today hay·yō·wm בֵּאלֹהֵ֣י against the God bê·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl לָשׁ֣וּב by turning away lā·šūḇ מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י from mê·’a·ḥă·rê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh בִּבְנֽוֹתְכֶ֤ם and building biḇ·nō·wṯ·ḵem לָכֶם֙ for yourselves lā·ḵem מִזְבֵּ֔חַ an altar , miz·bê·aḥ לִמְרָדְכֶ֥ם that you might rebel lim·rā·ḏə·ḵem בַּיהוָֽה׃ against YHWH Yah·weh הַיּ֖וֹם this day ? hay·yō·wm Joshua 22:17 עֲוֺ֣ן Was not the sin ‘ă·wōn פְּע֔וֹר of Peor pə·‘ō·wr הַמְעַט־ enough ham·‘aṭ- לָ֙נוּ֙ for us lā·nū אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- אֲשֶׁ֤ר from which ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ we have not lō- הִטַּהַ֙רְנוּ֙ cleansed hiṭ·ṭa·har·nū מִמֶּ֔נּוּ ourselves mim·men·nū עַ֖ד to ‘aḏ הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day ? hay·yō·wm וַיְהִ֥י It even brought way·hî הַנֶּ֖גֶף a plague han·ne·ḡep̄ בַּעֲדַ֥ת upon the congregation ba·‘ă·ḏaṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh וְהָיָ֗ה . . . wə·hā·yāh אַתֶּ֞ם If you ’at·tem תִּמְרְד֤וּ rebel tim·rə·ḏū הַיּוֹם֙ today hay·yō·wm בַּֽיהוָ֔ה against YHWH , Yah·weh וּמָחָ֕ר tomorrow ū·mā·ḥār יִקְצֹֽף׃ He will be angry yiq·ṣōp̄ אֶֽל־ with ’el- כָּל־ the whole kāl- עֲדַ֥ת congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Joshua 22:19 אִם־ If ’im- וְאַ֨ךְ indeed wə·’aḵ אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֗ם of your inheritance ’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ·ḵem טְמֵאָ֜ה is unclean , ṭə·mê·’āh עִבְר֨וּ [then] cross over ‘iḇ·rū לָכֶ֜ם lā·ḵem אֶל־ to ’el- אֶ֨רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH’s Yah·weh אֲחֻזַּ֤ת possession , ’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ אֲשֶׁ֤ר where ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH’s Yah·weh מִשְׁכַּ֣ן tabernacle miš·kan שָֽׁכַן־ stands , šā·ḵan- שָׁם֙ . . . šām וְהֵאָחֲז֖וּ and take possession wə·hê·’ā·ḥă·zū בְּתוֹכֵ֑נוּ of it among us . bə·ṯō·w·ḵê·nū אַל־ But do not ’al- תִּמְרֹ֗דוּ rebel tim·rō·ḏū וְאֹתָ֙נוּ֙ . . . wə·’ō·ṯā·nū אֶל־ . . . ’el- תִּמְרֹ֔דוּ . . . tim·rō·ḏū וּבַֽיהוָ֣ה against YHWH Yah·weh בִּבְנֹֽתְכֶ֤ם or against us by building biḇ·nō·ṯə·ḵem לָכֶם֙ for yourselves lā·ḵem מִזְבֵּ֔חַ an altar miz·bê·aḥ מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֔י other than mib·bal·‘ă·ḏê מִזְבַּ֖ח the altar miz·baḥ יְהוָ֥ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God . ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū Joshua 22:20 הֲל֣וֹא׀ Was not hă·lō·w עָכָ֣ן Achan ‘ā·ḵān בֶּן־ son ben- זֶ֗רַח of Zerah ze·raḥ מָ֤עַל unfaithful mā·‘al מַ֙עַל֙ regarding ma·‘al בַּחֵ֔רֶם what was set apart for destruction , ba·ḥê·rem קָ֑צֶף bringing wrath qā·ṣep̄
