Joshua 16:10 וְלֹ֣א But they did not wə·lō הוֹרִ֔ישׁוּ drive out hō·w·rî·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י the Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî הַיּוֹשֵׁ֣ב who lived hay·yō·wō·šêḇ בְּגָ֑זֶר in Gezer . bə·ḡā·zer הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֜י So the Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב dwell way·yê·šeḇ בְּקֶ֤רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ the Ephraimites ’ep̄·ra·yim עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day , hay·yō·wm וַיְהִ֖י but they are way·hî לְמַס־ forced lə·mas- עֹבֵֽד׃פ laborers . ‘ō·ḇêḏ Joshua 17:1 וַיְהִ֤י Now this was way·hî הַגּוֹרָל֙ the allotment hag·gō·w·rāl לְמַטֵּ֣ה for the tribe lə·maṭ·ṭêh מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה of Manasseh mə·naš·šeh כִּי־ . . . kî- ה֖וּא - hū יוֹסֵ֑ף as Joseph’s yō·w·sêp̄ בְּכ֣וֹר firstborn son , bə·ḵō·wr לְמָכִיר֩ [namely] for Machir lə·mā·ḵîr בְּכ֨וֹר the firstborn bə·ḵō·wr מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה of Manasseh mə·naš·šeh אֲבִ֣י and father ’ă·ḇî הַגִּלְעָ֗ד of the Gileadites , hag·gil·‘āḏ וַֽיְהִי־ who had received way·hî- ל֖וֹ lōw הַגִּלְעָ֥ד Gilead hag·gil·‘āḏ וְהַבָּשָֽׁן׃ and Bashan wə·hab·bā·šān כִּ֣י because kî ה֤וּא [Machir] hū הָיָה֙ was hā·yāh אִ֣ישׁ a man ’îš מִלְחָמָ֔ה of war . mil·ḥā·māh Joshua 17:2 וַ֠יְהִי So this allotment was way·hî הַנּוֹתָרִים֮ for the rest han·nō·w·ṯā·rîm לִבְנֵ֨י of the descendants liḇ·nê מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה of Manasseh mə·naš·šeh לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם֒ - — lə·miš·pə·ḥō·ṯām לִבְנֵ֨י the clans liḇ·nê אֲבִיעֶ֜זֶר of Abiezer , ’ă·ḇî·‘e·zer וְלִבְנֵי־ - wə·liḇ·nê- חֵ֗לֶק Helek , ḥê·leq וְלִבְנֵ֤י - wə·liḇ·nê אַשְׂרִיאֵל֙ Asriel , ’aś·rî·’êl וְלִבְנֵי־ . . . wə·liḇ·nê- שֶׁ֔כֶם Shechem , še·ḵem וְלִבְנֵי־ . . . wə·liḇ·nê- חֵ֖פֶר Hepher , ḥê·p̄er וְלִבְנֵ֣י . . . wə·liḇ·nê שְׁמִידָ֑ע and Shemida . šə·mî·ḏā‘ אֵ֠לֶּה These ’êl·leh הַזְּכָרִ֖ים are the other male haz·zə·ḵā·rîm בְּנֵ֨י descendants bə·nê לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃ of the clans lə·miš·pə·ḥō·ṯām מְנַשֶּׁ֧ה of Manasseh mə·naš·šeh בֶּן־ son ben- יוֹסֵ֛ף of Joseph . yō·w·sêp̄ Joshua 17:3 וְלִצְלָפְחָד֩ But Zelophehad wə·liṣ·lā·p̄ə·ḥāḏ בֶּן־ son ben- חֵ֨פֶר of Hepher ḥê·p̄er בֶּן־ ( the son ben- גִּלְעָ֜ד of Gilead , gil·‘āḏ בֶּן־ the son ben- מָכִ֣יר of Machir , mā·ḵîr בֶּן־ the son ben- מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה of Manasseh ) mə·naš·šeh הָ֥יוּ had hā·yū ל֛וֹ . . . lōw לֹא־ no lō- בָּנִ֖ים sons bā·nîm כִּ֣י but kî אִם־ only ’im- בָּנ֑וֹת daughters . bā·nō·wṯ וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ These wə·’êl·leh שְׁמ֣וֹת are the names šə·mō·wṯ בְּנֹתָ֔יו of his daughters : bə·nō·ṯāw מַחְלָ֣ה Mahlah , maḥ·lāh וְנֹעָ֔ה Noah , wə·nō·‘āh חָגְלָ֥ה Hoglah , ḥā·ḡə·lāh מִלְכָּ֖ה Milcah , mil·kāh וְתִרְצָֽה׃ and Tirzah . wə·ṯir·ṣāh
