הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm Joshua 8:29 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- תָּלָ֥ה He hung tā·lāh מֶ֧לֶךְ the king me·leḵ הָעַ֛י of Ai hā·‘ay עַל־ on ‘al- הָעֵ֖ץ a tree hā·‘êṣ עַד־ until ‘aḏ- עֵ֣ת . . . ‘êṯ הָעָ֑רֶב evening , hā·‘ā·reḇ וּכְב֣וֹא and at sunset ū·ḵə·ḇō·w הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ֩ . . . haš·še·meš יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ צִוָּ֨ה commanded ṣiw·wāh נִבְלָת֣וֹ that they take down the body niḇ·lā·ṯōw וַיֹּרִ֧ידוּ . . . way·yō·rî·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִן־ from min- הָעֵ֗ץ the tree hā·‘êṣ וַיַּשְׁלִ֤יכוּ and throw it down way·yaš·lî·ḵū אוֹתָהּ֙ - ’ō·w·ṯāh אֶל־ at ’el- פֶּ֙תַח֙ the entrance pe·ṯaḥ הָעִ֔יר of the city hā·‘îr שַׁ֣עַר gate . ša·‘ar עָלָיו֙ And over it ‘ā·lāw וַיָּקִ֤ימוּ they raised way·yā·qî·mū גָּד֔וֹל a large gā·ḏō·wl גַּל־ pile gal- אֲבָנִ֣ים of rocks , ’ă·ḇā·nîm עַ֖ד which remains to ‘aḏ הַזֶּֽה׃פ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm Joshua 8:30 אָ֣ז At that time ’āz יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ יִבְנֶ֤ה built yiḇ·neh מִזְבֵּ֔חַ an altar miz·bê·aḥ בְּהַ֖ר on Mount bə·har עֵיבָֽל׃ Ebal ‘ê·ḇāl לַֽיהוָ֖ה to YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl Joshua 8:31 כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר just as ka·’ă·šer מֹשֶׁ֨ה Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ ’eṯ- עֶֽבֶד־ the servant ‘e·ḇeḏ- יְהוָ֜ה of YHWH Yah·weh צִוָּה֩ had commanded ṣiw·wāh בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל . . . . yiś·rā·’êl כַּכָּתוּב֙ He built it according to what is written kak·kā·ṯūḇ בְּסֵ֙פֶר֙ in the Book bə·sê·p̄er תּוֹרַ֣ת of the Law tō·w·raṯ מֹשֶׁ֔ה of Moses : mō·šeh מִזְבַּח֙ “ an altar miz·baḥ שְׁלֵמ֔וֹת of uncut šə·lê·mō·wṯ אֲבָנִ֣ים stones ’ă·ḇā·nîm עֲלֵיהֶ֖ן on ‘ă·lê·hen אֲשֶׁ֛ר which ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ no lō- בַּרְזֶ֑ל iron tool bar·zel הֵנִ֥יף has been used . ” hê·nîp̄ עָלָ֤יו And on it ‘ā·lāw וַיַּעֲל֨וּ they offered way·ya·‘ă·lū עֹלוֹת֙ burnt offerings ‘ō·lō·wṯ לַֽיהוָ֔ה to YHWH , Yah·weh וַֽיִּזְבְּח֖וּ and they sacrificed way·yiz·bə·ḥū שְׁלָמִֽים׃ peace offerings . šə·lā·mîm Joshua 8:32 שָׁ֖ם And there šām לִפְנֵ֖י in the presence lip̄·nê בְּנֵ֥י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּכְתָּב־ [Joshua] inscribed way·yiḵ·tāḇ- עַל־ on ‘al- הָאֲבָנִ֑ים the stones hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm אֵ֗ת - ’êṯ מִשְׁנֵה֙ a copy miš·nêh תּוֹרַ֣ת of the law tō·w·raṯ מֹשֶׁ֔ה of Moses , mō·šeh אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ’ă·šer כָּתַ֔ב he had written . kā·ṯaḇ Joshua 8:33 וְכָל־ All wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כַּגֵּר֙ foreigners kag·gêr
