כֵן֙ this , ḵên וַיְשַׁלְּח֣וּ sending way·šal·lə·ḥū אוֹתָ֔ם [such people] ’ō·w·ṯām אֶל־ vvv ’el- מִח֖וּץ outside mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה the camp . lam·ma·ḥă·neh בְּנֵ֥י [They] bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ . . . yiś·rā·’êl עָשׂ֖וּ did ‘ā·śū כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ . . . ’el- דִּבֶּ֤ר had instructed dib·ber מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses . mō·šeh כֵּ֥ן . . . kên Numbers 5:5 יְהוָ֖ה And YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses mō·šeh לֵּאמֹֽר׃ . . . , lê·mōr Numbers 5:6 דַּבֵּר֮ “ Tell dab·bêr אֶל־ . . . ’el- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites that bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ . . . yiś·rā·’êl כִּ֤י when kî אִ֣ישׁ a man ’îš אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- אִשָּׁ֗ה woman ’iš·šāh לִמְעֹ֥ל acts lim·‘ōl מַ֖עַל unfaithfully ma·‘al בַּיהוָ֑ה against YHWH Yah·weh יַעֲשׂוּ֙ by committing ya·‘ă·śū מִכָּל־ any mik·kāl חַטֹּ֣את sin ḥaṭ·ṭōṯ הָֽאָדָ֔ם against another , hā·’ā·ḏām הַהִֽוא׃ that ha·hi·w הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ person han·ne·p̄eš וְאָֽשְׁמָ֖ה is guilty wə·’ā·šə·māh Numbers 5:7 וְהִתְוַדּ֗וּ and must confess wə·hiṯ·wad·dū אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- חַטָּאתָם֮ the sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָשׂוּ֒ he has committed . ‘ā·śū וְהֵשִׁ֤יב He must make full restitution , wə·hê·šîḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲשָׁמוֹ֙ - ’ă·šā·mōw בְּרֹאשׁ֔וֹ . . . bə·rō·šōw יֹסֵ֣ף add yō·sêp̄ וַחֲמִישִׁת֖וֹ a fifth wa·ḥă·mî·ši·ṯōw עָלָ֑יו to its value , ‘ā·lāw וְנָתַ֕ן and give all this wə·nā·ṯan לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר to the one la·’ă·šer אָשַׁ֥ם he has wronged ’ā·šam לֽוֹ׃ . lōw Numbers 5:8 וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- לָאִ֜ישׁ the man lā·’îš אֵ֨ין has no ’ên גֹּאֵ֗ל relative gō·’êl לְהָשִׁ֤יב to whom restitution can be made for lə·hā·šîḇ הָאָשָׁם֙ the wrong hā·’ā·šām אֵלָ֔יו . . . , ’ê·lāw הָאָשָׁ֛ם vvv hā·’ā·šām הַמּוּשָׁ֥ב the restitution ham·mū·šāḇ לַיהוָ֖ה belongs to YHWH Yah·weh לַכֹּהֵ֑ן and must be given to the priest lak·kō·hên מִלְּבַ֗ד along with mil·lə·ḇaḏ אֵ֚יל the ram ’êl הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים of atonement , hak·kip·pu·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר by which ’ă·šer יְכַפֶּר־ the atonement is made yə·ḵap·per- בּ֖וֹ for bōw עָלָֽיו׃ him . ‘ā·lāw Numbers 5:9 וְכָל־ Every wə·ḵāl קָדְשֵׁ֧י sacred qā·ḏə·šê תְּרוּמָ֞ה contribution tə·rū·māh לְכָל־ . . . lə·ḵāl בְנֵי־ the Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יַקְרִ֥יבוּ bring yaq·rî·ḇū לַכֹּהֵ֖ן to the priest lak·kō·hên יִהְיֶֽה׃ shall belong yih·yeh ל֥וֹ to him . lōw
