אִ֔ישׁ a man ’îš יַחְמֹ֣ל spares yaḥ·mōl עַל־ his own ‘al- בְּנ֖וֹ son bə·nōw הָעֹבֵ֥ד who serves hā·‘ō·ḇêḏ אֹתֽוֹ׃ him . ’ō·ṯōw Malachi 3:18 וְשַׁבְתֶּם֙ So you will again wə·šaḇ·tem וּרְאִיתֶ֔ם distinguish ū·rə·’î·ṯem בֵּ֥ין between bên צַדִּ֖יק the righteous ṣad·dîq לְרָשָׁ֑ע and the wicked , lə·rā·šā‘ בֵּ֚ין between bên עֹבֵ֣ד those who serve ‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱלֹהִ֔ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר and those who la·’ă·šer לֹ֥א do not lō עֲבָדֽוֹ׃ס . . . . ” ‘ă·ḇā·ḏōw Malachi 4:1 כִּֽי־ “ For kî- הִנֵּ֤ה behold , hin·nêh הַיּוֹם֙ the day hay·yō·wm בָּ֔א is coming , bā בֹּעֵ֖ר burning bō·‘êr כַּתַּנּ֑וּר like a furnace , kat·tan·nūr וְהָי֨וּ [when] wə·hā·yū כָל־ all ḵāl זֵדִ֜ים the arrogant zê·ḏîm וְכָל־ and every wə·ḵāl עֹשֵׂ֤ה evildoer ‘ō·śêh רִשְׁעָה֙ . . . riš·‘āh קַ֔שׁ will be stubble ; qaš הַיּ֣וֹם the day hay·yō·wm הַבָּ֗א is coming hab·bā וְלִהַ֨ט when I will set them ablaze wə·li·haṭ אֹתָ֜ם - , ” ’ō·ṯām אָמַר֙ says ’ā·mar יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֛ר - ’ă·šer לֹא־ “ Not lō- שֹׁ֥רֶשׁ a root šō·reš וְעָנָֽף׃ or branch wə·‘ā·nāp̄ יַעֲזֹ֥ב will be left ya·‘ă·zōḇ לָהֶ֖ם to them . ” lā·hem Malachi 4:2 יִרְאֵ֤י “ But for you who fear yir·’ê שְׁמִי֙ My name , šə·mî שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ the sun še·meš צְדָקָ֔ה of righteousness ṣə·ḏā·qāh וְזָרְחָ֨ה will rise wə·zā·rə·ḥāh לָכֶ֜ם lā·ḵem וּמַרְפֵּ֖א with healing ū·mar·pê בִּכְנָפֶ֑יהָ in its wings , biḵ·nā·p̄e·hā וִֽיצָאתֶ֥ם and you will go out wî·ṣā·ṯem וּפִשְׁתֶּ֖ם and leap ū·p̄iš·tem כְּעֶגְלֵ֥י like calves kə·‘eḡ·lê מַרְבֵּֽק׃ from the stall . mar·bêq Malachi 4:3 וְעַסּוֹתֶ֣ם Then you will trample wə·‘as·sō·w·ṯem רְשָׁעִ֔ים the wicked , rə·šā·‘îm כִּֽי־ for kî- יִהְי֣וּ they will be yih·yū אֵ֔פֶר ashes ’ê·p̄er תַּ֖חַת under ta·ḥaṯ כַּפּ֣וֹת the soles kap·pō·wṯ רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם of your feet raḡ·lê·ḵem בַּיּוֹם֙ on the day bay·yō·wm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî עֹשֶׂ֔ה am preparing , ” ‘ō·śeh אָמַ֖ר says ’ā·mar יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאֽוֹת׃פ of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ Malachi 4:4 זִכְר֕וּ “ Remember ziḵ·rū תּוֹרַ֖ת the law tō·w·raṯ עַבְדִּ֑י of My servant ‘aḇ·dî מֹשֶׁ֣ה Moses , mō·šeh אֲשֶׁר֩ - ’ă·šer חֻקִּ֖ים the statutes ḥuq·qîm וּמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ and ordinances ū·miš·pā·ṭîm צִוִּ֨יתִי I commanded ṣiw·wî·ṯî אוֹת֤וֹ him ’ō·w·ṯōw עַל־ for ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl בְחֹרֵב֙ at Horeb . ḇə·ḥō·rêḇ
