Zechariah 5:4 הוֹצֵאתִ֗יהָ I will send it out , hō·w·ṣê·ṯî·hā נְאֻם֙ declares nə·’um יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וּבָ֙אָה֙ and it will enter ū·ḇā·’āh אֶל־ . . . ’el- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ הַגַּנָּ֔ב of the thief hag·gan·nāḇ וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- בֵּ֛ית and the house bêṯ הַנִּשְׁבָּ֥ע of him who swears han·niš·bā‘ לַשָּׁ֑קֶר falsely laš·šā·qer בִּשְׁמִ֖י by My name . biš·mî וְלָ֙נֶה֙ It will remain wə·lā·neh בְּת֣וֹךְ inside bə·ṯō·wḵ בֵּית֔וֹ his house bê·ṯōw וְכִלַּ֖תּוּ and destroy it , wə·ḵil·lat·tū וְאֶת־ [down to] wə·’eṯ- עֵצָ֥יו its timbers ‘ê·ṣāw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲבָנָֽיו׃ and stones . ” ’ă·ḇā·nāw Zechariah 5:5 הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ Then the angel ham·mal·’āḵ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר who was speaking had·dō·ḇêr בִּ֑י with me bî וַיֵּצֵ֕א came forward way·yê·ṣê וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and told way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י me , ’ê·lay נָ֤א “ Now nā שָׂ֣א lift up śā עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā וּרְאֵ֔ה and see ū·rə·’êh מָ֖ה what māh הַזֹּֽאת׃ - haz·zōṯ הַיּוֹצֵ֥את is approaching . ” hay·yō·w·ṣêṯ Zechariah 5:6 מַה־ “ What mah- הִ֑יא is it ? ” hî וָאֹמַ֖ר I asked . wā·’ō·mar וַיֹּ֗אמֶר And he replied , way·yō·mer זֹ֤את “ - zōṯ הָֽאֵיפָה֙ A measuring basket hā·’ê·p̄āh הַיּוֹצֵ֔את is going forth . ” hay·yō·w·ṣêṯ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר Then he continued , way·yō·mer זֹ֥את “ This zōṯ עֵינָ֖ם is their iniquity ‘ê·nām בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the land . ” hā·’ā·reṣ Zechariah 5:7 וְהִנֵּ֛ה And behold , wə·hin·nêh כִּכַּ֥ר the cover kik·kar עֹפֶ֖רֶת of lead ‘ō·p̄e·reṯ נִשֵּׂ֑את was raised , niś·śêṯ וְזֹאת֙ . . . wə·zōṯ אַחַ֔ת and there was ’a·ḥaṯ אִשָּׁ֣ה a woman ’iš·šāh יוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת sitting yō·wō·še·ḇeṯ בְּת֥וֹךְ inside bə·ṯō·wḵ הָאֵיפָֽה׃ the basket . hā·’ê·p̄āh Zechariah 5:8 זֹ֣את “ This zōṯ הָרִשְׁעָ֔ה is Wickedness , ” hā·riš·‘āh וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ he said . way·yō·mer וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ And he shoved her down way·yaš·lêḵ אֹתָ֖הּ - ’ō·ṯāh אֶל־ into ’el- תּ֣וֹךְ . . . tō·wḵ הָֽאֵיפָ֑ה the basket , hā·’ê·p̄āh וַיַּשְׁלֵ֛ךְ pushing down way·yaš·lêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעֹפֶ֖רֶת the lead hā·‘ō·p̄e·reṯ אֶ֥בֶן cover ’e·ḇen אֶל־ over ’el- פִּֽיהָ׃ס its opening . pî·hā Zechariah 5:9 וָאֶשָּׂ֨א Then I lifted wā·’eś·śā עֵינַ֜י up my eyes ‘ê·nay וָאֵ֗רֶא and saw wā·’ê·re וְהִנֵּה֩ . . . wə·hin·nêh שְׁתַּ֨יִם two šə·ta·yim נָשִׁ֤ים women nā·šîm יֽוֹצְאוֹת֙ approaching , yō·wṣ·’ō·wṯ וְר֣וּחַ with the wind wə·rū·aḥ בְּכַנְפֵיהֶ֔ם in their wings . bə·ḵan·p̄ê·hem וְלָהֵ֥נָּה Their wə·lā·hên·nāh כְנָפַ֖יִם wings ḵə·nā·p̄a·yim כְּכַנְפֵ֣י were like those kə·ḵan·p̄ê
