לֹ֥א she has not lō קָרֵֽבָה׃ drawn near qā·rê·ḇāh אֶל־ to ’el- אֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ her God . ’ĕ·lō·he·hā Zephaniah 3:3 שָׂרֶ֣יהָ Her princes śā·re·hā בְקִרְבָּ֔הּ - ḇə·qir·bāh שֹֽׁאֲגִ֑ים are roaring šō·’ă·ḡîm אֲרָי֖וֹת lions ; ’ă·rā·yō·wṯ שֹׁפְטֶ֙יהָ֙ her judges [are] šō·p̄ə·ṭe·hā עֶ֔רֶב evening ‘e·reḇ זְאֵ֣בֵי wolves , zə·’ê·ḇê גָרְמ֖וּ leaving ḡā·rə·mū לֹ֥א nothing lō לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ for the morning . lab·bō·qer Zephaniah 3:4 נְבִיאֶ֙יהָ֙ Her prophets nə·ḇî·’e·hā פֹּֽחֲזִ֔ים are reckless , pō·ḥă·zîm בֹּֽגְד֑וֹת faithless bō·ḡə·ḏō·wṯ אַנְשֵׁ֖י men . ’an·šê כֹּהֲנֶ֙יהָ֙ Her priests kō·hă·ne·hā חִלְּלוּ־ profane ḥil·lə·lū- קֹ֔דֶשׁ the sanctuary ; qō·ḏeš חָמְס֖וּ they do violence to ḥā·mə·sū תּוֹרָֽה׃ the law . tō·w·rāh Zephaniah 3:5 יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh בְּקִרְבָּ֔הּ within her bə·qir·bāh צַדִּיק֙ is righteous ; ṣad·dîq יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה He does ya·‘ă·śeh לֹ֥א no lō עַוְלָ֑ה wrong . ‘aw·lāh יִתֵּ֤ן He applies yit·tên מִשְׁפָּט֨וֹ His justice miš·pā·ṭōw בַּבֹּ֨קֶר morning bab·bō·qer בַּבֹּ֜קֶר by morning ; bab·bō·qer לֹ֣א He does not lō נֶעְדָּ֔ר fail ne‘·dār לָאוֹר֙ at dawn , lā·’ō·wr עַוָּ֖ל yet the unjust ‘aw·wāl יוֹדֵ֥עַ know yō·w·ḏê·a‘ וְלֹֽא־ no wə·lō- בֹּֽשֶׁת׃ shame . bō·šeṯ Zephaniah 3:6 הִכְרַ֣תִּי “ I have cut off hiḵ·rat·tî גוֹיִ֗ם the nations ; ḡō·w·yim פִּנּוֹתָ֔ם their corner towers pin·nō·w·ṯām נָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ are destroyed . nā·šam·mū הֶחֱרַ֥בְתִּי I have made he·ḥĕ·raḇ·tî חֽוּצוֹתָ֖ם their streets {deserted} ḥū·ṣō·w·ṯām מִבְּלִ֣י with no one mib·bə·lî עוֹבֵ֑ר to pass through . ‘ō·w·ḇêr עָרֵיהֶ֛ם Their cities ‘ā·rê·hem נִצְדּ֧וּ are laid waste , niṣ·dū מִבְּלִי־ with no mib·bə·lî- אִ֖ישׁ man , ’îš מֵאֵ֥ין no mê·’ên יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ inhabitant . yō·wō·šêḇ Zephaniah 3:7 אָמַ֜רְתִּי I said , ’ā·mar·tî אַךְ־ ‘ Surely ’aḵ- תִּירְאִ֤י you will fear tî·rə·’î אוֹתִי֙ Me ’ō·w·ṯî תִּקְחִ֣י and accept tiq·ḥî מוּסָ֔ר correction . ’ mū·sār מְעוֹנָ֔הּ Then her dwelling place mə·‘ō·w·nāh וְלֹֽא־ would not wə·lō- יִכָּרֵ֣ת be cut off yik·kā·rêṯ כֹּ֥ל [despite] all kōl אֲשֶׁר־ for which ’ă·šer- פָּקַ֖דְתִּי I punished pā·qaḏ·tî עָלֶ֑יהָ her . ‘ā·le·hā אָכֵן֙ But ’ā·ḵên הִשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ they rose early hiš·kî·mū הִשְׁחִ֔יתוּ to corrupt hiš·ḥî·ṯū כֹּ֖ל all kōl עֲלִילוֹתָֽם׃ their deeds . ‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯām Zephaniah 3:8 לָכֵ֤ן Therefore lā·ḵên חַכּוּ־ wait ḥak·kū- לִי֙ for Me , ” lî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh לְי֖וֹם “ until the day lə·yō·wm קוּמִ֣י I rise qū·mî לְעַ֑ד to testify . lə·‘aḏ כִּ֣י For kî מִשְׁפָּטִי֩ My decision miš·pā·ṭî
