דָנִיֵּ֖אל Daniel , ḏā·nî·yêl אֶתְכְּרִיַּ֥ת was grieved ’eṯ·kə·rî·yaṯ בְּג֣וֹא in bə·ḡō·w רוּחִ֛י my spirit rū·ḥî נִדְנֶ֑ה . . . , niḏ·neh וְחֶזְוֵ֥י and the visions wə·ḥez·wê רֵאשִׁ֖י in my mind rê·šî יְבַהֲלֻנַּֽנִי׃ alarmed me . yə·ḇa·hă·lun·na·nî Daniel 7:16 קִרְבֵ֗ת I approached qir·ḇêṯ עַל־ ‘al- חַד֙ one ḥaḏ מִן־ of min- קָ֣אֲמַיָּ֔א those who were standing there , qā·’ă·may·yā אֶבְעֵֽא־ and I asked ’eḇ·‘ê- מִנֵּ֖הּ him min·nêh וְיַצִּיבָ֥א the true meaning wə·yaṣ·ṣî·ḇā עַֽל־ of ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- דְּנָ֑ה this . də·nāh וַאֲמַר־ So he told wa·’ă·mar- לִ֕י me lî יְהוֹדְעִנַּֽנִי׃ - yə·hō·wḏ·‘in·na·nî וּפְשַׁ֥ר the interpretation ū·p̄ə·šar מִלַּיָּ֖א of these things : mil·lay·yā Daniel 7:17 אִלֵּין֙ ‘ These ’il·lên אַרְבַּ֑ע four ’ar·ba‘ רַבְרְבָתָ֔א great raḇ·rə·ḇā·ṯā חֵיוָתָ֣א beasts ḥê·wā·ṯā דִּ֥י - dî אִנִּ֖ין are ’in·nîn אַרְבְּעָ֥ה four ’ar·bə·‘āh מַלְכִ֖ין kings mal·ḵîn יְקוּמ֥וּן [who] will arise yə·qū·mūn מִן־ from min- אַרְעָֽא׃ the earth . ’ar·‘ā Daniel 7:18 קַדִּישֵׁ֖י But the saints qad·dî·šê עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין of the Most High ‘el·yō·w·nîn וִֽיקַבְּלוּן֙ will receive wî·qab·bə·lūn מַלְכוּתָ֔א the kingdom mal·ḵū·ṯā וְיַחְסְנ֤וּן and possess wə·yaḥ·sə·nūn מַלְכוּתָא֙ it mal·ḵū·ṯā עַֽד־ forever ‘aḏ- עָ֣לְמָ֔א . . . — ‘ā·lə·mā וְעַ֖ד yes, forever wə·‘aḏ עָלַ֥ם . . . ‘ā·lam עָלְמַיָּֽא׃ and ever . ’ ‘ā·lə·may·yā Daniel 7:19 אֱדַ֗יִן Then ’ĕ·ḏa·yin צְבִית֙ I wanted ṣə·ḇîṯ לְיַצָּבָ֔א to know the true meaning lə·yaṣ·ṣā·ḇā עַל־ of ‘al- רְבִיעָ֣יְתָ֔א the fourth rə·ḇî·‘ā·yə·ṯā חֵֽיוְתָא֙ beast , ḥê·wə·ṯā דִּֽי־ which dî- הֲוָ֥ת was hă·wāṯ שָֽׁנְיָ֖ה different šā·nə·yāh מִן־ from min- כָּלְּהוֹן all the [others] — kå̄l·lə·hōn יַתִּ֗ירָה extremely yat·tî·rāh דְּחִילָ֣ה terrifying — də·ḥî·lāh אָֽכְלָ֣ה devouring ’ā·ḵə·lāh מַדֲּקָ֔ה and crushing mad·dă·qāh פַרְזֶל֙ with iron p̄ar·zel שִׁנַּיַּהּ teeth šin·nay·yah דִּֽי־ . . . dî- נְחָ֔שׁ and bronze nə·ḥāš וְטִפְרַ֣יהּ claws wə·ṭip̄·rayh דִּֽי־ . . . , dî- רָֽפְסָֽה׃ then trampling rā·p̄ə·sāh בְּרַגְלַ֥יהּ underfoot bə·raḡ·layh וּשְׁאָרָ֖א whatever was left . ū·šə·’ā·rā Daniel 7:20 וְעַל־ I also wanted to know about wə·‘al- עֲשַׂר֙ the ten ‘ă·śar קַרְנַיָּ֤א horns qar·nay·yā בְרֵאשַׁ֔הּ on its head ḇə·rê·šah וְאָחֳרִי֙ and the other wə·’ā·ḥo·rî דִּ֣י . . . dî דִּ֣י horn that dî סִלְקַ֔ת came up , sil·qaṯ מִן־ min- קֳדָמַיַּהּ before which qo·ḏå̄·may·yah תְּלָ֑ת three of them tə·lāṯ וּנְפַלוּ fell — ū·nə·p̄a·lū וְקַרְנָ֨א the horn wə·qar·nā וְחֶזְוַ֖הּ whose appearance [was] wə·ḥez·wah מִן־ more imposing than min-
