מִתְנַצַּ֔ח distinguished himself miṯ·naṣ·ṣaḥ עַל־ among ‘al- סָרְכַיָּ֖א the administrators sā·rə·ḵay·yā וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֑א and satraps wa·’ă·ḥaš·dar·pə·nay·yā כָּל־ . kāl- וּמַלְכָּ֣א So the king ū·mal·kā עֲשִׁ֔ית planned ‘ă·šîṯ לַהֲקָמוּתֵ֖הּ to set him la·hă·qā·mū·ṯêh עַל־ over ‘al- כָּל־ the whole kāl- מַלְכוּתָֽא׃ kingdom . mal·ḵū·ṯā Daniel 6:4 אֱדַ֨יִן Thus ’ĕ·ḏa·yin סָֽרְכַיָּ֜א the administrators sā·rə·ḵay·yā וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֗א and satraps wa·’ă·ḥaš·dar·pə·nay·yā הֲו֨וֹ sought hă·wōw בָעַ֧יִן . . . ḇā·‘a·yin לְהַשְׁכָּחָ֥ה . . . lə·haš·kā·ḥāh עִלָּ֛ה a charge ‘il·lāh לְדָנִיֵּ֖אל against Daniel lə·ḏā·nî·yêl מִצַּ֣ד concerning miṣ·ṣaḏ מַלְכוּתָ֑א the kingdom , mal·ḵū·ṯā יָכְלִ֣ין but they could yā·ḵə·lîn לְהַשְׁכָּחָ֗ה find lə·haš·kā·ḥāh וְכָל־ no wə·ḵāl לָא־ . . . lā- עִלָּ֨ה charge ‘il·lāh וּשְׁחִיתָ֜ה or corruption , ū·šə·ḥî·ṯāh כָּל־ kāl- קֳבֵל֙ because qo·ḇêl דִּֽי־ . . . dî- ה֔וּא he hū וְכָל־ . . . wə·ḵāl מְהֵימַ֣ן was trustworthy , mə·hê·man לָ֥א and no lā שָׁלוּ֙ negligence šā·lū וּשְׁחִיתָ֔ה or corruption ū·šə·ḥî·ṯāh הִשְׁתְּכַ֖חַת was found hiš·tə·ḵa·ḥaṯ עֲלֽוֹהִי׃ in him . ‘ă·lō·w·hî Daniel 6:5 אֱ֠דַיִן Finally ’ĕ·ḏa·yin אִלֵּךְ֙ these ’il·lêḵ גֻּבְרַיָּ֤א men guḇ·ray·yā אָֽמְרִ֔ין said , ’ā·mə·rîn דִּ֣י . . . dî לָ֧א “ We will never lā נְהַשְׁכַּ֛ח find nə·haš·kaḥ כָּל־ any kāl- עִלָּ֑א charge ‘il·lā דְּנָ֖ה against this də·nāh לְדָנִיֵּ֥אל Daniel , lə·ḏā·nî·yêl לָהֵ֕ן unless lā·hên הַשְׁכַּ֥חְנָֽה we find [something] haš·kaḥ·nāh עֲל֖וֹהִי against him ‘ă·lō·w·hî בְּדָ֥ת concerning the law bə·ḏāṯ אֱלָהֵֽהּ׃ס of his God . ” ’ĕ·lā·hêh Daniel 6:6 אֱ֠דַיִן So ’ĕ·ḏa·yin סָרְכַיָּ֤א the administrators sā·rə·ḵay·yā וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא֙ and satraps wa·’ă·ḥaš·dar·pə·nay·yā אִלֵּ֔ן . . . ’il·lên הַרְגִּ֖שׁוּ went together har·gi·šū עַל־ to ‘al- מַלְכָּ֑א the king mal·kā וְכֵן֙ . . . wə·ḵên אָמְרִ֣ין and said ’ā·mə·rîn לֵ֔הּ , lêh מַלְכָּ֖א “ O King mal·kā דָּרְיָ֥וֶשׁ Darius , dā·rə·yā·weš חֱיִֽי׃ may you live ḥĕ·yî לְעָלְמִ֥ין forever ! lə·‘ā·lə·mîn Daniel 6:7 כֹּ֣ל׀ All kōl מַלְכוּתָ֗א the royal mal·ḵū·ṯā סָרְכֵ֣י administrators , sā·rə·ḵê סִגְנַיָּ֤א prefects , siḡ·nay·yā וַֽאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא֙ satraps , wa·’ă·ḥaš·dar·pə·nay·yā הַדָּֽבְרַיָּ֣א advisers , had·dā·ḇə·ray·yā וּפַחֲוָתָ֔א and governors ū·p̄a·ḥă·wā·ṯā אִתְיָעַ֜טוּ have agreed ’iṯ·yā·‘a·ṭū מַלְכָּ֔א that the king mal·kā לְקַיָּמָ֤ה should establish lə·qay·yā·māh קְיָם֙ an ordinance qə·yām וּלְתַקָּפָ֖ה and enforce ū·lə·ṯaq·qā·p̄āh אֱסָ֑ר a decree ’ĕ·sār דִּ֣י that dî עַד־ for ‘aḏ- תְּלָתִ֗ין thirty tə·lā·ṯîn יוֹמִ֣ין days yō·w·mîn כָל־ anyone ḵāl דִּֽי־ who dî- יִבְעֵ֣ה petitions yiḇ·‘êh
