Lamentations 3:16 וַיַּגְרֵ֤ס He has ground way·yaḡ·rês שִׁנָּ֔י my teeth šin·nāy בֶּֽחָצָץ֙ with gravel be·ḥā·ṣāṣ הִכְפִּישַׁ֖נִי and trampled me hiḵ·pî·ša·nî בָּאֵֽפֶר׃ in the dust . bā·’ê·p̄er Lamentations 3:17 נַפְשִׁ֖י My soul nap̄·šî וַתִּזְנַ֧ח has been deprived wat·tiz·naḥ מִשָּׁל֛וֹם of peace ; miš·šā·lō·wm נָשִׁ֥יתִי I have forgotten nā·šî·ṯî טוֹבָֽה׃ what prosperity is . ṭō·w·ḇāh Lamentations 3:18 וָאֹמַר֙ So I say , wā·’ō·mar נִצְחִ֔י “ My strength niṣ·ḥî אָבַ֣ד has perished , ’ā·ḇaḏ וְתוֹחַלְתִּ֖י along with my hope wə·ṯō·w·ḥal·tî מֵיְהוָֽה׃ס from YHWH . ” Yah·weh Lamentations 3:19 זְכָר־ Remember zə·ḵār- עָנְיִ֥י my affliction ‘ā·nə·yî וּמְרוּדִ֖י and wandering , ū·mə·rū·ḏî לַעֲנָ֥ה the wormwood la·‘ă·nāh וָרֹֽאשׁ׃ and the gall . wā·rōš Lamentations 3:20 זָכ֣וֹר Surely zā·ḵō·wr נַפְשִֽׁי׃ my soul nap̄·šî תִּזְכּ֔וֹר remembers tiz·kō·wr וְתָשִׁיחַ and is humbled wə·ṯå̄·šī·aḥ עָלַ֖י within me . ‘ā·lay Lamentations 3:21 אָשִׁ֥יב Yet I call ’ā·šîḇ זֹ֛את this zōṯ אֶל־ to ’el- לִבִּ֖י mind , lib·bî עַל־ and therefore ‘al- כֵּ֥ן . . . kên אוֹחִֽיל׃ס I have hope : ’ō·w·ḥîl Lamentations 3:22 כִּ֣י Because of kî חַֽסְדֵ֤י the loving devotion ḥas·ḏê יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh לֹא־ we are not lō- תָ֔מְנוּ consumed , ṯā·mə·nū כִּ֥י for kî רַחֲמָֽיו׃ His mercies ra·ḥă·māw לֹא־ never lō- כָל֖וּ fail . ḵā·lū Lamentations 3:23 חֲדָשִׁים֙ They are new every morning ḥă·ḏā·šîm לַבְּקָרִ֔ים . . . ; lab·bə·qā·rîm רַבָּ֖ה great rab·bāh אֱמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃ is Your faithfulness ! ’ĕ·mū·nā·ṯe·ḵā Lamentations 3:24 יְהוָה֙ “ YHWH Yah·weh חֶלְקִ֤י is my portion , ” ḥel·qî אָמְרָ֣ה says ’ā·mə·rāh נַפְשִׁ֔י my soul , nap̄·šî עַל־ “ therefore ‘al- כֵּ֖ן . . . kên אוֹחִ֥יל I will hope ’ō·w·ḥîl לֽוֹ׃ס in Him . ” lōw Lamentations 3:25 יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh ט֤וֹב is good ṭō·wḇ לְקוָֹ֔ו to those who wait for Him , lə·qōw לְנֶ֖פֶשׁ to the soul lə·ne·p̄eš תִּדְרְשֶֽׁנּוּ׃ who seeks Him . tiḏ·rə·šen·nū Lamentations 3:26 ט֤וֹב It is good ṭō·wḇ וְיָחִיל֙ to wait wə·yā·ḥîl וְדוּמָ֔ם quietly wə·ḏū·mām לִתְשׁוּעַ֖ת for the salvation liṯ·šū·‘aṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH .
