וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים whom I will bring wa·hă·ḇi·’ō·ṯîm עַל־ against ‘al- הַזֹּאת֙ this haz·zōṯ הָאָ֤רֶץ land , hā·’ā·reṣ וְעַל־ against wə·‘al- יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ its residents , yō·šə·ḇe·hā וְעַ֛ל and against wə·‘al כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֖לֶּה the hā·’êl·leh סָבִ֑יב surrounding sā·ḇîḇ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם nations . hag·gō·w·yim וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים So I will devote them to destruction wə·ha·ḥă·ram·tîm וְשַׂמְתִּים֙ and make them wə·śam·tîm לְשַׁמָּ֣ה an object of horror lə·šam·māh וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה and contempt , wə·liš·rê·qāh עוֹלָֽם׃ an everlasting ‘ō·w·lām וּלְחָרְב֖וֹת desolation . ū·lə·ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ Jeremiah 25:10 וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י Moreover, I will banish wə·ha·’ă·ḇaḏ·tî מֵהֶ֗ם from them mê·hem ק֤וֹל the sounds qō·wl שָׂשׂוֹן֙ of joy śā·śō·wn שִׂמְחָ֔ה and gladness , śim·ḥāh וְק֣וֹל the voices wə·qō·wl כַּלָּ֑ה of the bride kal·lāh וְק֣וֹל and wə·qō·wl חָתָ֖ן bridegroom , ḥā·ṯān ק֥וֹל . . . qō·wl ק֥וֹל the sound qō·wl רֵחַ֖יִם of the millstones , rê·ḥa·yim וְא֥וֹר and the light wə·’ō·wr נֵֽר׃ of the lamp . nêr Jeremiah 25:11 הַזֹּ֔את And this haz·zōṯ כָּל־ whole kāl- הָאָ֣רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ וְהָֽיְתָה֙ will become wə·hā·yə·ṯāh לְחָרְבָּ֖ה a desolate lə·ḥā·rə·bāh לְשַׁמָּ֑ה wasteland , lə·šam·māh הָאֵ֛לֶּה and these hā·’êl·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַגּוֹיִ֥ם nations hag·gō·w·yim וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ will serve wə·‘ā·ḇə·ḏū מֶ֥לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בָּבֶ֖ל of Babylon bā·ḇel שִׁבְעִ֥ים for seventy šiḇ·‘îm שָׁנָֽה׃ years . šā·nāh Jeremiah 25:12 וְהָיָ֣ה But when wə·hā·yāh שִׁבְעִ֣ים seventy šiḇ·‘îm שָׁנָ֡ה years šā·nāh כִמְלֹ֣אות are complete , ḵim·lō·wṯ אֶפְקֹ֣ד I will punish ’ep̄·qōḏ עַל־ . . . ‘al- מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶל֩ of Babylon bā·ḇel וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- הַה֧וּא and that ha·hū הַגּ֨וֹי nation , hag·gō·w אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים of the Chaldeans , kaś·dîm עֲוֺנָ֖ם for their guilt ‘ă·wō·nām וְעַל־ . . . , wə·‘al- נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֛ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֶת־ ’eṯ- וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י and I will make wə·śam·tî אֹת֖וֹ it ’ō·ṯōw עוֹלָֽם׃ an everlasting ‘ō·w·lām לְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹת desolation . lə·šim·mō·wṯ Jeremiah 25:13 וְהֵבֵאיתִי I will bring wə·hē·ḇē·ṯī עַל־ upon ‘al- הַהִ֔יא that ha·hî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֣רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ כָּל־ all kāl- דְּבָרַ֖י the words də·ḇā·ray אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי I have pronounced dib·bar·tî עָלֶ֑יהָ against it , ‘ā·le·hā אֵ֤ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הַכָּתוּב֙ that is written hak·kā·ṯūḇ הַזֶּ֔ה in this haz·zeh בַּסֵּ֣פֶר book , bas·sê·p̄er אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū נִבָּ֥א has prophesied nib·bā עַל־ against ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ the nations . hag·gō·w·yim
