יְהוָֽה׃ am YHWH . ” Yah·weh Exodus 10:3 מֹשֶׁ֣ה So Moses mō·šeh וְאַהֲרֹן֮ and Aaron wə·’a·hă·rōn וַיָּבֹ֨א went way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹה֒ Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ and told way·yō·mə·rū אֵלָ֗יו him , ’ê·lāw כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים of the Hebrews , hā·‘iḇ·rîm אָמַ֤ר says : ’ā·mar עַד־ ‘ How long ‘aḏ- מָתַ֣י . . . mā·ṯay מֵאַ֔נְתָּ will you refuse mê·’an·tā לֵעָנֹ֖ת to humble yourself lê·‘ā·nōṯ מִפָּנָ֑י before Me ? mip·pā·nāy עַמִּ֖י Let My people ‘am·mî שַׁלַּ֥ח go , šal·laḥ וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ so that they may worship Me . wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî Exodus 10:4 כִּ֛י But kî אִם־ if ’im- אַתָּ֖ה you ’at·tāh מָאֵ֥ן refuse mā·’ên עַמִּ֑י to let My people ‘am·mî הִנְנִ֨י . . . hin·nî לְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ go , lə·šal·lê·aḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֵבִ֥יא I will bring mê·ḇî אַרְבֶּ֖ה locusts ’ar·beh בִּגְבֻלֶֽךָ׃ into your territory biḡ·ḇu·le·ḵā מָחָ֛ר tomorrow . mā·ḥār Exodus 10:5 וְכִסָּה֙ They will cover wə·ḵis·sāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵ֣ין the face ‘ên הָאָ֔רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ וְלֹ֥א so that no wə·lō יוּכַ֖ל one can yū·ḵal לִרְאֹ֣ת see lir·’ōṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֑רֶץ [it] . hā·’ā·reṣ וְאָכַ֣ל׀ They will devour wə·’ā·ḵal אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יֶ֣תֶר whatever is ye·ṯer הַנִּשְׁאֶ֤רֶת left han·niš·’e·reṯ לָכֶם֙ lā·ḵem מִן־ min- הַפְּלֵטָ֗ה after hap·pə·lê·ṭāh הַבָּרָ֔ד the hail hab·bā·rāḏ וְאָכַל֙ and eat wə·’ā·ḵal אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ every kāl- הָעֵ֔ץ tree hā·‘êṣ הַצֹּמֵ֥חַ that grows haṣ·ṣō·mê·aḥ לָכֶ֖ם in your lā·ḵem מִן־ . . . min- הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ fields . haś·śā·ḏeh Exodus 10:6 וּמָלְא֨וּ They will fill ū·mā·lə·’ū בָתֶּ֜יךָ your houses ḇāt·te·ḵā וּבָתֵּ֣י and the houses ū·ḇāt·tê כָל־ of all ḵāl עֲבָדֶיךָ֮ your officials ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וּבָתֵּ֣י and ū·ḇāt·tê כָל־ every ḵāl מִצְרַיִם֒ Egyptian — miṣ·ra·yim אֲשֶׁ֨ר something ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ neither lō- אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ your fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā וַאֲב֣וֹת nor your grandfathers wa·’ă·ḇō·wṯ אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ . . . ’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā רָא֤וּ have seen rā·’ū מִיּ֗וֹם since the day mî·yō·wm הֱיוֹתָם֙ they came into hĕ·yō·w·ṯām עַל־ . . . ‘al- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה this land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh עַ֖ד . . . ‘aḏ הַיּ֣וֹם . . . . ’” hay·yō·wm הַזֶּ֑ה . . . haz·zeh וַיִּ֥פֶן Then [Moses] turned way·yi·p̄en וַיֵּצֵ֖א and left way·yê·ṣê מֵעִ֥ם . . . mê·‘im פַּרְעֹֽה׃ Pharaoh’s presence . par·‘ōh Exodus 10:7 פַרְעֹ֜ה Pharaoh’s p̄ar·‘ōh אֵלָ֗יו . . . ’ê·lāw
