וְתוֹכֵחָ֛ה rebuke , wə·ṯō·w·ḵê·ḥāh וּנְאָצָ֖ה and disgrace ; ū·nə·’ā·ṣāh כִּ֣י for kî בָנִים֙ children ḇā·nîm בָ֤אוּ have come ḇā·’ū עַד־ to the point of ‘aḏ- מַשְׁבֵּ֔ר birth , maš·bêr אַ֖יִן but there is no ’a·yin וְכֹ֥חַ strength wə·ḵō·aḥ לְלֵדָֽה׃ to deliver them . lə·lê·ḏāh Isaiah 37:4 אוּלַ֡י Perhaps ’ū·lay יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā אֵ֣ת׀ - ’êṯ יִשְׁמַע֩ will hear yiš·ma‘ דִּבְרֵ֣י the words diḇ·rê רַב־ vvv raḇ- שָׁקֵ֗ה of the Rabshakeh , šā·qêh אֲשֶׁר֩ whom ’ă·šer אֲדֹנָיו֙ his master ’ă·ḏō·nāw מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֤וּר׀ of Assyria ’aš·šūr שְׁלָח֨וֹ has sent šə·lā·ḥōw לְחָרֵף֙ to defy lə·ḥā·rêp̄ חַ֔י the living ḥay אֱלֹהִ֣ים God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וְהוֹכִ֙יחַ֙ and He will rebuke him wə·hō·w·ḵî·aḥ בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים for the words bad·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā שָׁמַ֖ע has heard . šā·ma‘ וְנָשָׂ֣אתָ Therefore lift up wə·nā·śā·ṯā תְפִלָּ֔ה a prayer ṯə·p̄il·lāh בְּעַ֥ד for bə·‘aḏ הַשְּׁאֵרִ֖ית the remnant haš·šə·’ê·rîṯ הַנִּמְצָאָֽה׃ that still survives . ” han·nim·ṣā·’āh Isaiah 37:5 עַבְדֵ֛י So the servants ‘aḇ·ḏê הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ of King ham·me·leḵ חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ Hezekiah ḥiz·qî·yā·hū וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ went way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- יְשַׁעְיָֽהוּ׃ Isaiah , yə·ša‘·yā·hū Isaiah 37:6 יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ who yə·ša‘·yā·hū וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied way·yō·mer אֲלֵיהֶם֙ , ’ă·lê·hem כֹּ֥ה kōh תֹאמְר֖וּן “ Tell ṯō·mə·rūn אֶל־ . . . ’el- אֲדֹנֵיכֶ֑ם your master ’ă·ḏō·nê·ḵem כֹּ֣ה׀ that this is what kōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַל־ ‘ Do not ’al- תִּירָא֙ be afraid tî·rā מִפְּנֵ֤י of mip·pə·nê הַדְּבָרִים֙ the words had·də·ḇā·rîm שָׁמַ֔עְתָּ you have heard , šā·ma‘·tā אֲשֶׁ֧ר - ’ă·šer אֲשֶׁ֣ר with which ’ă·šer נַעֲרֵ֥י the servants na·‘ă·rê מֶלֶךְ־ of the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֖וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr אוֹתִֽי׃ - ’ō·w·ṯî גִּדְּפ֛וּ have blasphemed Me . gid·də·p̄ū Isaiah 37:7 הִנְנִ֨י Behold , hin·nî נוֹתֵ֥ן I will put nō·w·ṯên ר֔וּחַ a spirit rū·aḥ בּוֹ֙ in him bōw וְשָׁמַ֥ע so that he will hear wə·šā·ma‘ שְׁמוּעָ֖ה a rumor šə·mū·‘āh וְשָׁ֣ב and return wə·šāḇ אֶל־ to ’el- אַרְצ֑וֹ his own land , ’ar·ṣōw בְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃ where bə·’ar·ṣōw וְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יו I will cause him to fall wə·hip·pal·tîw בַּחֶ֖רֶב by the sword . ’” ba·ḥe·reḇ Isaiah 37:8 כִּ֣י When kî רַב־ vvv raḇ- שָׁקֵ֔ה the Rabshakeh šā·qêh שָׁמַ֔ע heard šā·ma‘ כִּ֥י that kî נָסַ֖ע the king of Assyria had left nā·sa‘ מִלָּכִֽישׁ׃ Lachish , mil·lā·ḵîš וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ he withdrew way·yā·šāḇ
