Proverbs 31:22 עָֽשְׂתָה־ She makes ‘ā·śə·ṯāh- לָּ֑הּ lāh מַרְבַדִּ֥ים coverings for her bed ; mar·ḇad·dîm לְבוּשָֽׁהּ׃ her clothing lə·ḇū·šāh שֵׁ֖שׁ is fine linen šêš וְאַרְגָּמָ֣ן and purple . wə·’ar·gā·mān Proverbs 31:23 בַּעְלָ֑הּ Her husband ba‘·lāh נוֹדָ֣ע is known nō·w·ḏā‘ בַּשְּׁעָרִ֣ים at the city gate , baš·šə·‘ā·rîm בְּ֝שִׁבְתּ֗וֹ where he sits bə·šiḇ·tōw עִם־ among ‘im- זִקְנֵי־ the elders ziq·nê- אָֽרֶץ׃ of the land . ’ā·reṣ Proverbs 31:24 עָ֭שְׂתָה She makes ‘ā·śə·ṯāh סָדִ֣ין linen garments sā·ḏîn וַתִּמְכֹּ֑ר and sells [them] ; wat·tim·kōr נָתְנָ֥ה she delivers nā·ṯə·nāh וַ֝חֲג֗וֹר sashes wa·ḥă·ḡō·wr לַֽכְּנַעֲנִֽי׃ to the merchants . lak·kə·na·‘ă·nî Proverbs 31:25 עֹז־ Strength ‘ōz- וְהָדָ֥ר and honor wə·hā·ḏār לְבוּשָׁ֑הּ are her clothing , lə·ḇū·šāh וַ֝תִּשְׂחַ֗ק and she can laugh wat·tiś·ḥaq לְי֣וֹם at the days lə·yō·wm אַחֲרֽוֹן׃ to come . ’a·ḥă·rō·wn Proverbs 31:26 פָּתְחָ֣ה She opens pā·ṯə·ḥāh פִּ֭יהָ her mouth pî·hā בְחָכְמָ֑ה with wisdom , ḇə·ḥā·ḵə·māh חֶ֝֗סֶד and faithful ḥe·seḏ וְתֽוֹרַת־ instruction wə·ṯō·w·raṯ- עַל־ is on ‘al- לְשׁוֹנָֽהּ׃ her tongue . lə·šō·w·nāh Proverbs 31:27 צ֭וֹפִיָּה She watches over ṣō·w·p̄î·yāh הֲלִיכ֣וֹת the affairs hă·lî·ḵō·wṯ בֵּיתָ֑הּ of her household bê·ṯāh לֹ֣א and does not lō תֹאכֵֽל׃ eat ṯō·ḵêl וְלֶ֥חֶם the bread wə·le·ḥem עַ֝צְל֗וּת of idleness . ‘aṣ·lūṯ Proverbs 31:28 בָ֭נֶיהָ Her children ḇā·ne·hā קָ֣מוּ rise up qā·mū וַֽיְאַשְּׁר֑וּהָ and call her blessed ; way·’aš·šə·rū·hā בַּ֝עְלָ֗הּ her husband ba‘·lāh וַֽיְהַֽלְלָהּ׃ praises her as well : way·ha·lə·lå̄h Proverbs 31:29 רַבּ֣וֹת “ Many rab·bō·wṯ בָּ֭נוֹת daughters bā·nō·wṯ עָ֣שׂוּ have done ‘ā·śū חָ֑יִל noble things , ḥā·yil וְ֝אַ֗תְּ but you wə·’at עָלִ֥ית surpass ‘ā·lîṯ עַל־ them ‘al- כֻּלָּֽנָה׃ all ! ” kul·lā·nāh Proverbs 31:30 הַ֭חֵן Charm ha·ḥên שֶׁ֣קֶר is deceptive še·qer הַיֹּ֑פִי and beauty hay·yō·p̄î וְהֶ֣בֶל is fleeting , wə·he·ḇel אִשָּׁ֥ה but a woman ’iš·šāh יִרְאַת־ who fears yir·’aṯ- יְ֝הוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh הִ֣יא - hî תִתְהַלָּֽל׃ is to be praised . ṯiṯ·hal·lāl Proverbs 31:31 תְּנוּ־ Give tə·nū- לָ֭הּ her lāh מִפְּרִ֣י the fruit mip·pə·rî יָדֶ֑יהָ of her hands , yā·ḏe·hā מַעֲשֶֽׂיהָ׃ and let her works ma·‘ă·śe·hā וִֽיהַלְל֖וּהָ praise her wî·hal·lū·hā בַשְּׁעָרִ֣ים at the gates . ḇaš·šə·‘ā·rîm
