מְזֹרָ֣ה to spread mə·zō·rāh הָרָ֑שֶׁת the net hā·rā·šeṯ כָל־ where any ḵāl בַּ֥עַל bird ba·ʿal כָּנָֽף׃ . . . kā·nāp̄ בְּ֝עֵינֵ֗י can see it ! bə·‘ê·nê Proverbs 1:18 וְ֭הֵם But they wə·hêm יֶאֱרֹ֑בוּ lie in wait ye·’ĕ·rō·ḇū לְדָמָ֣ם for their [own] blood ; lə·ḏā·mām יִ֝צְפְּנ֗וּ they ambush yiṣ·pə·nū לְנַפְשֹׁתָֽם׃ their [own] lives . lə·nap̄·šō·ṯām Proverbs 1:19 כֵּ֗ן Such [is] kên אָ֭רְחוֹת the fate ’ā·rə·ḥō·wṯ כָּל־ of all kāl- בֹּ֣צֵֽעַ who are greedy , bō·ṣê·a‘ בָּ֑צַע whose unjust gain bā·ṣa‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִקָּֽח׃פ takes yiq·qāḥ נֶ֖פֶשׁ the lives ne·p̄eš בְּעָלָ֣יו of its possessors . bə·‘ā·lāw Proverbs 1:20 חָ֭כְמוֹת Wisdom ḥā·ḵə·mō·wṯ תָּרֹ֑נָּה calls out tā·rōn·nāh בַּח֣וּץ in the street , ba·ḥūṣ תִּתֵּ֥ן she lifts tit·tên קוֹלָֽהּ׃ her voice qō·w·lāh בָּ֝רְחֹב֗וֹת in the square ; bā·rə·ḥō·ḇō·wṯ Proverbs 1:21 בְּרֹ֥אשׁ in the main bə·rōš הֹמִיּ֗וֹת concourse hō·mî·yō·wṯ תִּ֫קְרָ֥א she cries aloud , tiq·rā בָּעִ֗יר at the city bā·‘îr בְּפִתְחֵ֖י vvv bə·p̄iṯ·ḥê שְׁעָרִ֥ים gates šə·‘ā·rîm תֹאמֵֽר׃ she makes ṯō·mêr אֲמָרֶ֥יהָ her speech : ’ă·mā·re·hā Proverbs 1:22 עַד־ “ How ‘aḏ- מָתַ֣י׀ long , mā·ṯay פְּתָיִם֮ O simple ones , pə·ṯā·yim תְּֽאֵהֲב֫וּ will you love tə·’ê·hă·ḇū פֶ֥תִי your simple [ways] ? p̄e·ṯî וְלֵצִ֗ים How long will scoffers wə·lê·ṣîm חָמְד֣וּ delight ḥā·mə·ḏū לָהֶ֑ם . . . lā·hem לָ֭צוֹן in their scorn lā·ṣō·wn וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים and fools ū·ḵə·sî·lîm יִשְׂנְאוּ־ hate yiś·nə·’ū- דָֽעַת׃ knowledge ? ḏā·‘aṯ Proverbs 1:23 תָּשׁ֗וּבוּ If you had repented tā·šū·ḇū לְֽת֫וֹכַחְתִּ֥י at my rebuke , lə·ṯō·w·ḵaḥ·tî הִנֵּ֤ה then surely hin·nêh אַבִּ֣יעָה I would have poured out ’ab·bî·‘āh לָכֶ֣ם my lā·ḵem רוּחִ֑י spirit on you ; rū·ḥî אוֹדִ֖יעָה I would have made ’ō·w·ḏî·‘āh דְבָרַ֣י my words ḏə·ḇā·ray אֶתְכֶֽם׃ known to you . ’eṯ·ḵem Proverbs 1:24 יַ֣עַן Because ya·‘an וַתְּמָאֵ֑נוּ you refused wat·tə·mā·’ê·nū קָ֭רָאתִי my call , qā·rā·ṯî וְאֵ֣ין and no one wə·’ên מַקְשִֽׁיב׃ took maq·šîḇ נָטִ֥יתִי my outstretched nā·ṭî·ṯî יָ֝דִ֗י hand , yā·ḏî Proverbs 1:25 וַתִּפְרְע֥וּ because you neglected wat·tip̄·rə·‘ū כָל־ all ḵāl עֲצָתִ֑י my counsel , ‘ă·ṣā·ṯî אֲבִיתֶֽם׃ and wanted ’ă·ḇî·ṯem לֹ֣א none lō וְ֝תוֹכַחְתִּ֗י of my correction , wə·ṯō·w·ḵaḥ·tî Proverbs 1:26 גַּם־ in turn gam- אֲ֭נִי I ’ă·nî אֶשְׂחָ֑ק will mock ’eś·ḥāq בְּאֵידְכֶ֣ם your calamity ; bə·’ê·ḏə·ḵem אֶ֝לְעַ֗ג I will sneer ’el·‘aḡ
