שִׁבְעִ֥ים for him seventy šiḇ·‘îm יֽוֹם׃ days . yō·wm Genesis 50:4 יְמֵ֣י When the days yə·mê בְכִית֔וֹ of mourning ḇə·ḵî·ṯōw וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ֙ had passed , way·ya·‘aḇ·rū יוֹסֵ֔ף Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹ֖ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr בֵּ֥ית court , bêṯ אִם־ “ If ’im- מָצָ֤אתִי I have found mā·ṣā·ṯî חֵן֙ favor ḥên בְּעֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם in your eyes , bə·‘ê·nê·ḵem נָ֨א please nā דַּבְּרוּ־ tell dab·bə·rū- נָ֕א . . . nā בְּאָזְנֵ֥י . . . bə·’ā·zə·nê פַרְעֹ֖ה Pharaoh that p̄ar·‘ōh לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . lê·mōr Genesis 50:5 אָבִ֞י my father ’ā·ḇî הִשְׁבִּיעַ֣נִי made me swear an oath hiš·bî·‘a·nî לֵאמֹ֗ר when he said , lê·mōr הִנֵּ֣ה ‘ . . . hin·nêh אָנֹכִי֮ I ’ā·nō·ḵî מֵת֒ am about to die . mêṯ תִּקְבְּרֵ֑נִי You must bury me tiq·bə·rê·nî שָׁ֖מָּה . . . šām·māh בְּקִבְרִ֗י in the tomb bə·qiḇ·rî אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer כָּרִ֤יתִי I dug kā·rî·ṯî לִי֙ lî בְּאֶ֣רֶץ for myself in the land bə·’e·reṣ כְּנַ֔עַן of Canaan . ’ kə·na·‘an וְעַתָּ֗ה Now wə·‘at·tāh אֶֽעֱלֶה־ let me go ’e·‘ĕ·leh- נָּ֛א . . . nā וְאֶקְבְּרָ֥ה and bury wə·’eq·bə·rāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָבִ֖י my father , ’ā·ḇî וְאָשֽׁוּבָה׃ and then return . ” wə·’ā·šū·ḇāh Genesis 50:6 פַּרְעֹ֑ה Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיֹּ֖אמֶר replied , way·yō·mer עֲלֵ֛ה “ Go up ‘ă·lêh וּקְבֹ֥ר and bury ū·qə·ḇōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָבִ֖יךָ your father , ’ā·ḇî·ḵā כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer הִשְׁבִּיעֶֽךָ׃ he made you swear [to do] . ” hiš·bî·‘e·ḵā Genesis 50:7 יוֹסֵ֖ף Then Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וַיַּ֥עַל went way·ya·‘al לִקְבֹּ֣ר to bury liq·bōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָבִ֑יו his father , ’ā·ḇîw כָּל־ and all kāl- עַבְדֵ֤י the servants ‘aḇ·ḏê פַרְעֹה֙ of Pharaoh p̄ar·‘ōh וַיַּֽעֲל֨וּ accompanied way·ya·‘ă·lū אִתּ֜וֹ him — ’it·tōw זִקְנֵ֣י the elders ziq·nê בֵית֔וֹ of Pharaoh’s household ḇê·ṯōw וְכֹ֖ל and all wə·ḵōl זִקְנֵ֥י the elders ziq·nê אֶֽרֶץ־ of the land ’e·reṣ- מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt — miṣ·rā·yim Genesis 50:8 וְכֹל֙ along with all wə·ḵōl יוֹסֵ֔ף of Joseph’s yō·w·sêp̄ בֵּ֣ית household , bêṯ וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brothers , wə·’e·ḥāw אָבִ֑יו and his father’s ’ā·ḇîw וּבֵ֣ית household . ū·ḇêṯ רַ֗ק Only raq טַפָּם֙ their children ṭap·pām וְצֹאנָ֣ם and flocks wə·ṣō·nām וּבְקָרָ֔ם and herds ū·ḇə·qā·rām עָזְב֖וּ were left ‘ā·zə·ḇū בְּאֶ֥רֶץ vvv bə·’e·reṣ גֹּֽשֶׁן׃ in Goshen . gō·šen Genesis 50:9 רֶ֖כֶב Chariots re·ḵeḇ גַּם־ and gam- פָּרָשִׁ֑ים horsemen pā·rā·šîm
