Job 39:20 הְֽ֭תַרְעִישֶׁנּוּ Do you make him leap hə·ṯar·‘î·šen·nū כָּאַרְבֶּ֑ה like a locust , kā·’ar·beh אֵימָֽה׃ [striking] terror ’ê·māh ה֖וֹד with his proud hō·wḏ נַחְר֣וֹ snorting ? naḥ·rōw Job 39:21 יַחְפְּר֣וּ He paws yaḥ·pə·rū בָ֭עֵמֶק in the valley ḇā·‘ê·meq וְיָשִׂ֣ישׂ and rejoices wə·yā·śîś בְּכֹ֑חַ in his strength ; bə·ḵō·aḥ יֵ֝צֵ֗א he charges yê·ṣê לִקְרַאת־ . . . liq·raṯ- נָֽשֶׁק׃ into battle . nā·šeq Job 39:22 יִשְׂחַ֣ק He laughs yiś·ḥaq לְ֭פַחַד at fear , lə·p̄a·ḥaḏ יֵחָ֑ת frightened yê·ḥāṯ וְלֹ֣א of nothing ; wə·lō וְלֹֽא־ he does not wə·lō- יָ֝שׁ֗וּב turn back yā·šūḇ מִפְּנֵי־ from mip·pə·nê- חָֽרֶב׃ the sword . ḥā·reḇ Job 39:23 אַשְׁפָּ֑ה A quiver ’aš·pāh תִּרְנֶ֣ה rattles tir·neh עָ֭לָיו at his side , ‘ā·lāw לַ֖הַב along with a flashing la·haḇ חֲנִ֣ית spear ḥă·nîṯ וְכִידֽוֹן׃ and lance . wə·ḵî·ḏō·wn Job 39:24 בְּרַ֣עַשׁ Trembling bə·ra·‘aš וְ֭רֹגֶז with excitement , wə·rō·ḡez יְגַמֶּא־ he devours yə·ḡam·me- אָ֑רֶץ the distance ; ’ā·reṣ וְלֹֽא־ he cannot wə·lō- יַ֝אֲמִ֗ין stand still ya·’ă·mîn כִּי־ . . . kî- שׁוֹפָֽר׃ when the ram’s horn šō·w·p̄ār ק֥וֹל sounds . qō·wl Job 39:25 בְּדֵ֤י At bə·ḏê שֹׁפָ֨ר׀ the [blast of] the horn , šō·p̄ār יֹ֘אמַ֤ר he snorts yō·mar הֶאָ֗ח with fervor . he·’āḥ יָרִ֣יחַ He catches the scent yā·rî·aḥ מִלְחָמָ֑ה of battle mil·ḥā·māh וּֽ֭מֵרָחוֹק from afar — ū·mê·rā·ḥō·wq רַ֥עַם the shouts ra·‘am שָׂ֝רִים of captains rîm וּתְרוּעָֽה׃ and the cry of war . ū·ṯə·rū·‘āh Job 39:26 נֵ֑ץ Does the hawk nêṣ יַֽאֲבֶר־ take flight ya·’ă·ḇer- הֲ by your understanding hămib·bî·nā·ṯə·ḵā יִפְרֹ֖שׂ and spread yip̄·rōś כְּנָפוֹ his wings kə·nå̄·p̄ō לְתֵימָֽן׃ toward the south ? lə·ṯê·mān Job 39:27 נָ֑שֶׁר Does the eagle nā·šer וְ֝כִ֗י . . . wə·ḵî יַגְבִּ֣יהַּ soar yaḡ·bî·ah אִם־ - ’im- עַל־ at ‘al- פִּ֭יךָ your command pî·ḵā קִנּֽוֹ׃ and make his nest qin·nōw יָרִ֥ים on high ? yā·rîm Job 39:28 יִ֭שְׁכֹּן He dwells yiš·kōn סֶ֣לַע on a cliff se·la‘ וְיִתְלֹנָ֑ן and lodges there ; wə·yiṯ·lō·nān וּמְצוּדָֽה׃ his stronghold ū·mə·ṣū·ḏāh עַֽל־ is on ‘al- סֶ֝֗לַע a rocky se·la‘ שֶׁן־ crag . šen- Job 39:29 מִשָּׁ֥ם From there miš·šām חָֽפַר־ he spies ḥā·p̄ar- אֹ֑כֶל out food ; ’ō·ḵel עֵינָ֥יו his eyes ‘ê·nāw יַבִּֽיטוּ׃ see yab·bî·ṭū לְ֝מֵרָח֗וֹק [it] from afar . lə·mê·rā·ḥō·wq
