רֵ֭ים [him] rêm בְּתֶ֣לֶם to the furrow bə·ṯe·lem עֲבֹת֑וֹ with a harness ? ‘ă·ḇō·ṯōw אִם־ . . . ’im- יְשַׂדֵּ֖ד Will he plow yə·śad·dêḏ עֲמָקִ֣ים the valleys ‘ă·mā·qîm אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ behind you ? ’a·ḥă·re·ḵā Job 39:11 הֲֽתִבְטַח־ Can you rely hă·ṯiḇ·ṭaḥ- בּ֭וֹ on his bōw כִּי־ - kî- רַ֣ב great raḇ כֹּח֑וֹ strength ? kō·ḥōw וְתַעֲזֹ֖ב Will you leave wə·ṯa·‘ă·zōḇ יְגִיעֶֽךָ׃ your hard work yə·ḡî·‘e·ḵā אֵלָ֣יו to him ? ’ê·lāw Job 39:12 הֲתַאֲמִ֣ין Can you trust hă·ṯa·’ă·mîn בּ֭וֹ him bōw כִּי־ to kî- יָשׁוּב bring in yå̄·šūḇ זַרְעֶ֑ךָ your grain zar·‘e·ḵā יֶאֱסֹֽף׃ and gather it ye·’ĕ·sōp̄ וְֽגָרְנְךָ֥ to your threshing floor ? wə·ḡā·rə·nə·ḵā Job 39:13 כְּנַף־ The wings kə·nap̄- רְנָנִ֥ים of the ostrich rə·nā·nîm נֶעֱלָ֑סָה flap joyfully , ne·‘ĕ·lā·sāh אִם־ but cannot [match] ’im- אֶ֝בְרָ֗ה the pinions ’eḇ·rāh וְנֹצָֽה׃ and feathers wə·nō·ṣāh חֲסִידָ֥ה of the stork . ḥă·sî·ḏāh Job 39:14 כִּֽי־ For kî- תַעֲזֹ֣ב she leaves ṯa·‘ă·zōḇ בֵּצֶ֑יהָ her eggs bê·ṣe·hā לָאָ֣רֶץ on the ground lā·’ā·reṣ תְּחַמֵּֽם׃ and lets them warm tə·ḥam·mêm וְֽעַל־ in wə·‘al- עָפָ֥ר the sand . ‘ā·p̄ār Job 39:15 וַ֭תִּשְׁכַּח She forgets wat·tiš·kaḥ כִּי־ that kî- רֶ֣גֶל a foot re·ḡel תְּזוּרֶ֑הָ may crush them , tə·zū·re·hā הַשָּׂדֶ֣ה or a wild haś·śā·ḏeh וְחַיַּ֖ת animal wə·ḥay·yaṯ תְּדוּשֶֽׁהָ׃ may trample them . tə·ḏū·še·hā Job 39:16 בָּנֶ֣יהָ She treats her young bā·ne·hā הִקְשִׁ֣יחַ harshly , hiq·šî·aḥ לְּלֹא־ as if not lə·lō- לָ֑הּ her own , lāh בְּלִי־ with no bə·lî- פָֽחַד׃ concern p̄ā·ḥaḏ יְגִיעָ֣הּ that her labor yə·ḡî·‘āh לְרִ֖יק was in vain . lə·rîq Job 39:17 כִּֽי־ For kî- אֱל֣וֹהַּ God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah הִשָּׁ֣הּ has deprived her hiš·šāh חָכְמָ֑ה of wisdom ; ḥāḵ·māh וְלֹא־ He has not wə·lō- חָ֥לַק endowed ḥā·laq לָ֝֗הּ her lāh בַּבִּינָֽה׃ with understanding . bab·bî·nāh Job 39:18 כָּ֭עֵת Yet when kā·‘êṯ בַּמָּר֣וֹם she proudly bam·mā·rō·wm תַּמְרִ֑יא spreads her wings , tam·rî תִּֽשְׂחַ֥ק she laughs tiś·ḥaq לַ֝סּ֗וּס at the horse las·sūs וּלְרֹֽכְבֽוֹ׃ and its rider . ū·lə·rō·ḵə·ḇōw Job 39:19 הֲתִתֵּ֣ן Do you give hă·ṯit·tên גְּבוּרָ֑ה strength gə·ḇū·rāh לַסּ֣וּס to the horse las·sūs הֲתַלְבִּ֖ישׁ or adorn hă·ṯal·bîš צַוָּאר֣וֹ his neck ṣaw·wā·rōw רַעְמָֽה׃ with a mane ? ra‘·māh
