Job 28:18 רָאמ֣וֹת Coral rā·mō·wṯ וְ֭גָבִישׁ and quartz wə·ḡā·ḇîš לֹ֣א are unworthy lō יִזָּכֵ֑ר of mention ; yiz·zā·ḵêr וּמֶ֥שֶׁךְ the price ū·me·šeḵ חָ֝כְמָ֗ה of wisdom [is] ḥāḵ·māh מִפְּנִינִֽים׃ beyond rubies . mip·pə·nî·nîm Job 28:19 פִּטְדַת־ Topaz piṭ·ḏaṯ- כּ֑וּשׁ from Cush kūš לֹֽא־ cannot lō- יַ֭עַרְכֶנָּה compare to it , ya·‘ar·ḵen·nāh לֹ֣א nor can it lō תְסֻלֶּֽה׃פ be valued ṯə·sul·leh טָ֝ה֗וֹר in pure ṭā·hō·wr בְּכֶ֥תֶם gold . bə·ḵe·ṯem Job 28:20 מֵאַ֣יִן From where mê·’a·yin וְֽ֭הַחָכְמָה then does wisdom wə·ha·ḥā·ḵə·māh תָּב֑וֹא come , tā·ḇō·w וְאֵ֥י and where wə·’ê זֶ֝֗ה . . . zeh בִּינָֽה׃ does understanding bî·nāh מְק֣וֹם dwell ? mə·qō·wm Job 28:21 וְֽ֭נֶעֶלְמָה It is hidden wə·ne·‘el·māh מֵעֵינֵ֣י from the eyes mê·‘ê·nê כָל־ of every ḵāl חָ֑י living thing ḥāy נִסְתָּֽרָה׃ and concealed nis·tā·rāh וּמֵע֖וֹף from the birds ū·mê·‘ō·wp̄ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם of the air . haš·šā·ma·yim Job 28:22 אֲבַדּ֣וֹן Abaddon ’ă·ḇad·dō·wn וָ֭מָוֶת and Death wā·mā·weṯ אָ֣מְר֑וּ say , ’ā·mə·rū שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ ‘ We have heard šā·ma‘·nū שִׁמְעָֽהּ׃ a rumor about it šim·‘āh בְּ֝אָזְנֵ֗ינוּ - . ’ bə·’ā·zə·nê·nū Job 28:23 אֱ֭לֹהִים But God ’ĕ·lō·hîm הֵבִ֣ין understands hê·ḇîn דַּרְכָּ֑הּ its way , dar·kāh וְ֝ה֗וּא and He wə·hū יָדַ֥ע knows yā·ḏa‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מְקוֹמָֽהּ׃ its place . mə·qō·w·māh Job 28:24 כִּי־ For kî- ה֭וּא He hū יַבִּ֑יט looks yab·bîṭ לִקְצוֹת־ to the ends liq·ṣō·wṯ- הָאָ֣רֶץ of the earth hā·’ā·reṣ יִרְאֶֽה׃ and sees yir·’eh כָּל־ everything kāl- תַּ֖חַת under ta·ḥaṯ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם the heavens . haš·šā·ma·yim Job 28:25 לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת When God fixed la·‘ă·śō·wṯ מִשְׁקָ֑ל the weight miš·qāl לָר֣וּחַ of the wind lā·rū·aḥ תִּכֵּ֥ן vvv tik·kên בְּמִדָּֽה׃ and measured out bə·mid·dāh וּ֝מַ֗יִם the waters , ū·ma·yim Job 28:26 בַּעֲשֹׂת֣וֹ when He set ba·ʿă·śō·ṯō חֹ֑ק a limit ḥōq לַמָּטָ֣ר for the rain lam·mā·ṭār וְ֝דֶ֗רֶךְ and a path wə·ḏe·reḵ לַחֲזִ֥יז for the thunderbolt la·ḥă·zîz קֹלֽוֹת׃ . . . , qō·lō·wṯ Job 28:27 אָ֣ז then ’āz רָ֭אָהּ He looked at [wisdom] rā·’āh וַֽיְסַפְּרָ֑הּ and appraised it ; way·sap·pə·rāh הֱ֝כִינָ֗הּ He established it hĕ·ḵî·nāh וְגַם־ . . . wə·ḡam- חֲקָרָֽהּ׃ and searched it out . ḥă·qā·rāh
