2 Chronicles 30:2 הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ For the king ham·me·leḵ וְשָׂרָ֛יו and his officials wə·śā·rāw וְכָל־ and the whole wə·ḵāl הַקָּהָ֖ל assembly haq·qā·hāl בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וַיִּוָּעַ֨ץ had decided way·yiw·wā·‘aṣ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to keep la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הַפֶּ֖סַח the Passover hap·pe·saḥ הַשֵּׁנִֽי׃ in the second haš·šê·nî בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ month , ba·ḥō·ḏeš 2 Chronicles 30:3 כִּ֣י since kî לֹ֧א they had been unable lō יָכְל֛וּ . . . yā·ḵə·lū לַעֲשֹׂת֖וֹ to observe it la·‘ă·śō·ṯōw הַהִ֑יא at the regular ha·hî כִּ֤י . . . kî בָּעֵ֣ת time , bā·‘êṯ לֹֽא־ because not lō- לְמַדַּ֔י enough lə·mad·day הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ priests hak·kō·hă·nîm הִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּ had consecrated themselves hiṯ·qad·də·šū וְהָעָ֖ם and the people wə·hā·‘ām לֹא־ had not lō- נֶאֶסְפ֥וּ been gathered ne·’es·p̄ū לִֽירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ in Jerusalem . lî·rū·šā·lim 2 Chronicles 30:4 הַדָּבָ֖ר This proposal had·dā·ḇār וַיִּישַׁ֥ר pleased way·yî·šar בְּעֵינֵ֣י . . . bə·‘ê·nê הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וּבְעֵינֵ֖י and ū·ḇə·‘ê·nê כָּל־ the whole kāl- הַקָּהָֽל׃ assembly . haq·qā·hāl 2 Chronicles 30:5 וַיַּֽעֲמִ֣ידוּ So they established way·ya·‘ă·mî·ḏū דָבָ֗ר a decree ḏā·ḇār לְהַעֲבִ֨יר to circulate lə·ha·‘ă·ḇîr ק֤וֹל a proclamation qō·wl בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel , yiś·rā·’êl מִבְּאֵֽר־ from mib·bə·’êr- שֶׁ֣בַע Beersheba še·ḇa‘ וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- דָּ֔ן Dan , dān לָב֞וֹא that the people should come lā·ḇō·w לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to keep la·‘ă·śō·wṯ פֶּ֛סַח the Passover pe·saḥ לַיהוָ֥ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽי־ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem . bî·rū·šā·lim כִּ֣י For kî לֹ֥א they had not lō עָשׂ֖וּ observed it ‘ā·śū לָרֹ֛ב as a nation lā·rōḇ כַּכָּתֽוּב׃ as prescribed . kak·kā·ṯūḇ 2 Chronicles 30:6 הָרָצִ֨ים So the couriers hā·rā·ṣîm וַיֵּלְכוּ֩ went way·yê·lə·ḵū בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl וִֽיהוּדָ֔ה and Judah wî·hū·ḏāh בָּֽאִגְּר֜וֹת with letters bā·’ig·gə·rō·wṯ מִיַּ֧ד from mî·yaḏ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וְשָׂרָ֗יו and his officials , wə·śā·rāw הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ - ham·me·leḵ וּכְמִצְוַ֥ת - ū·ḵə·miṣ·waṯ לֵאמֹ֑ר which read : lê·mōr בְּנֵ֣י “ Children bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl שׁ֚וּבוּ return šū·ḇū אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵי֙ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אַבְרָהָם֙ of Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām יִצְחָ֣ק Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל and Israel , wə·yiś·rā·’êl וְיָשֹׁב֙ so that He may return wə·yā·šōḇ אֶל־ to ’el- הַנִּשְׁאֶ֣רֶת those of you who remain han·niš·’e·reṯ לָכֶ֔ם , lā·ḵem הַפְּלֵיטָ֔ה who have escaped hap·pə·lê·ṭāh מִכַּ֖ף the grasp mik·kap̄ מַלְכֵ֥י of the kings mal·ḵê אַשּֽׁוּר׃ of Assyria . ’aš·šūr 2 Chronicles 30:7 וְאַל־ Do not wə·’al- תִּֽהְי֗וּ be tih·yū
