2 Chronicles 26:1 כָּל־ All kāl- עַ֤ם the people ‘am יְהוּדָה֙ of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּקְח֞וּ took way·yiq·ḥū עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ Uzziah , ‘uz·zî·yā·hū וְה֕וּא who wə·hū שֵׁ֥שׁ [was] sixteen šêš עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה . . . ‘eś·rêh בֶּן־ years old ben- שָׁנָ֑ה . . . , šā·nāh וַיַּמְלִ֣יכוּ and made him king way·yam·lî·ḵū אֹת֔וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw תַּ֖חַת in place of ta·ḥaṯ אָבִ֥יו his father ’ā·ḇîw אֲמַצְיָֽהוּ׃ Amaziah . ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū 2 Chronicles 26:2 ה֚וּא [Uzziah was the one] hū בָּנָ֣ה who rebuilt bā·nāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֵיל֔וֹת Eloth ’ê·lō·wṯ וַיְשִׁיבֶ֖הָ and restored way·šî·ḇe·hā לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה it to Judah lî·hū·ḏāh אַחֲרֵ֥י after ’a·ḥă·rê הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ King [Amaziah] ham·me·leḵ שְׁכַֽב־ rested šə·ḵaḇ- עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָֽיו׃פ his fathers . ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw 2 Chronicles 26:3 עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ Uzziah ‘uz·zî·yā·hū שֵׁ֨שׁ was sixteen šêš עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה . . . ‘eś·rêh בֶּן־ years old ben- שָׁנָה֙ . . . šā·nāh בְמָלְכ֔וֹ when he became king , ḇə·mā·lə·ḵōw מָלַ֖ךְ and he reigned mā·laḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים fifty-two wa·ḥă·miš·šîm וּשְׁתַּ֙יִם֙ . . . ū·šə·ta·yim שָׁנָ֔ה years . šā·nāh אִמּ֔וֹ His mother’s ’im·mōw וְשֵׁ֣ם name wə·šêm יְכִילְיָה was Jecoliah ; yə·ḵī·lə·yå̄h מִן־ [she was] from min- יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim 2 Chronicles 26:4 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ And he did way·ya·‘aś הַיָּשָׁ֖ר [what was] right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the eyes bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh כְּכֹ֥ל just as kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אָבִֽיו׃ his father ’ā·ḇîw אֲמַצְיָ֥הוּ Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū עָשָׂ֖ה had done . ‘ā·śāh 2 Chronicles 26:5 וַיְהִי֙ - way·hî לִדְרֹ֣שׁ He sought liḏ·rōš אֱלֹהִ֔ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm בִּימֵ֣י throughout the days bî·mê זְכַרְיָ֔הוּ of Zechariah , zə·ḵar·yā·hū הַמֵּבִ֖ין who instructed him ham·mê·ḇîn בִּרְאֹ֣ת in the fear bir·’ōṯ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וּבִימֵי֙ And as long as ū·ḇî·mê דָּרְשׁ֣וֹ he sought dā·rə·šōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ס God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm הִצְלִיח֖וֹ gave him success . hiṣ·lî·ḥōw 2 Chronicles 26:6 וַיֵּצֵא֙ Uzziah went out way·yê·ṣê וַיִּלָּ֣חֶם to wage war way·yil·lā·ḥem בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים against the Philistines , bap·pə·liš·tîm וַיִּפְרֹ֞ץ and he tore down way·yip̄·rōṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ח֣וֹמַת the walls ḥō·w·maṯ גַּ֗ת of Gath , gaṯ וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ חוֹמַ֣ת - ḥō·w·maṯ יַבְנֵ֔ה Jabneh , yaḇ·nêh וְאֵ֖ת and wə·’êṯ חוֹמַ֣ת - ḥō·w·maṯ אַשְׁדּ֑וֹד Ashdod . ’aš·dō·wḏ וַיִּבְנֶ֣ה Then he built way·yiḇ·neh עָרִ֔ים cities ‘ā·rîm בְּאַשְׁדּ֖וֹד near Ashdod bə·’aš·dō·wḏ
