וּמְרָרִֽי׃ס and Merari . ū·mə·rā·rî 1 Chronicles 23:7 לַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּ֖י The Gershonites : lag·gê·rə·šun·nî לַעְדָּ֥ן Ladan la‘·dān וְשִׁמְעִֽי׃ס and Shimei . wə·šim·‘î 1 Chronicles 23:8 בְּנֵ֣י The sons bə·nê לַעְדָּ֗ן of Ladan : la‘·dān יְחִיאֵ֛ל Jehiel yə·ḥî·’êl הָרֹ֧אשׁ the first , hā·rōš וְזֵתָ֥ם Zetham , wə·zê·ṯām וְיוֹאֵ֖ל and Joel — wə·yō·w·’êl שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ס three [in all] . šə·lō·šāh 1 Chronicles 23:9 בְּנֵ֣י The sons bə·nê שִׁמְעִ֗י of Shimei : šim·‘î שְׁלֹמוֹת Shelomoth , šə·lō·mōṯ וַחֲזִיאֵ֛ל Haziel , wa·ḥă·zî·’êl וְהָרָ֖ן and Haran — wə·hā·rān שְׁלֹשָׁ֑ה three [in all] . šə·lō·šāh אֵ֛לֶּה These [were] ’êl·leh רָאשֵׁ֥י the heads rā·šê הָאָב֖וֹת of the families hā·’ā·ḇō·wṯ לְלַעְדָּֽן׃ס of Ladan . lə·la‘·dān 1 Chronicles 23:10 וּבְנֵ֣י And the sons ū·ḇə·nê שִׁמְעִ֔י of Shimei : šim·‘î יַ֣חַת Jahath , ya·ḥaṯ זִינָ֔א Zina , zî·nā וִיע֖וּשׁ Jeush , wî·‘ūš וּבְרִיעָ֑ה and Beriah . ū·ḇə·rî·‘āh אֵ֥לֶּה These ’êl·leh בְנֵי־ [were] the sons ḇə·nê- שִׁמְעִ֖י of Shimei — šim·‘î אַרְבָּעָֽה׃ four [in all] . ’ar·bā·‘āh 1 Chronicles 23:11 יַ֣חַת Jahath ya·ḥaṯ וַֽיְהִי־ was way·hî- הָרֹ֔אשׁ the first hā·rōš וְזִיזָ֖ה and Zizah wə·zî·zāh הַשֵּׁנִ֑י was the second ; haš·šê·nî וִיע֤וּשׁ but Jeush wî·‘ūš וּבְרִיעָה֙ and Beriah ū·ḇə·rî·‘āh לֹֽא־ did not lō- הִרְבּ֣וּ have many hir·bū בָנִ֔ים sons , ḇā·nîm וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ so they were counted as way·yih·yū אָ֔ב one family ’āḇ לְבֵ֣ית . . . lə·ḇêṯ אֶחָֽת׃ס and received a single ’e·ḥāṯ לִפְקֻדָּ֖ה assignment . lip̄·qud·dāh 1 Chronicles 23:12 בְּנֵ֣י The sons bə·nê קְהָ֗ת of Kohath : qə·hāṯ עַמְרָ֥ם Amram , ‘am·rām יִצְהָ֛ר Izhar , yiṣ·hār חֶבְר֥וֹן Hebron , ḥeḇ·rō·wn וְעֻזִּיאֵ֖ל and Uzziel — wə·‘uz·zî·’êl אַרְבָּעָֽה׃ס four [in all] . ’ar·bā·‘āh 1 Chronicles 23:13 בְּנֵ֥י The sons bə·nê עַמְרָ֖ם of Amram : ‘am·rām אַהֲרֹ֣ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn וּמֹשֶׁ֑ה and Moses . ū·mō·šeh אַהֲרֹ֡ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn וּבָנָיו֙ and his descendants ū·ḇā·nāw וַיִּבָּדֵ֣ל were set apart way·yib·bā·ḏêl עַד־ forever ‘aḏ- עוֹלָ֔ם . . . ‘ō·w·lām לְֽהַקְדִּישׁוֹ֩ to consecrate lə·haq·dî·šōw קֹ֨דֶשׁ the most holy things qō·ḏeš קָֽדָשִׁ֤ים . . . , qā·ḏā·šîm הֽוּא־ . . . hū- לְהַקְטִיר֩ to burn incense lə·haq·ṭîr לִפְנֵ֨י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֧ה YHWH , Yah·weh לְשָׁרְת֛וֹ to minister before Him , lə·šā·rə·ṯōw וּלְבָרֵ֥ךְ and to pronounce blessings ū·lə·ḇā·rêḵ בִּשְׁמ֖וֹ in His name biš·mōw עַד־ forever ‘aḏ- עוֹלָֽם׃ . . . . ‘ō·w·lām 1 Chronicles 23:14 וּמֹשֶׁ֖ה As for Moses ū·mō·šeh אִ֣ישׁ the man ’îš
