בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁר֙ of which ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר had said , ’ā·mar בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם “ In Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim אָשִׂ֥ים I will put ’ā·śîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמִֽי׃ My Name . ” šə·mî 2 Kings 21:5 בִּשְׁתֵּ֖י In both biš·tê חַצְר֥וֹת courtyards ḥaṣ·rō·wṯ בֵּית־ of the house bêṯ- יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH , Yah·weh וַיִּ֥בֶן he built way·yi·ḇen מִזְבְּח֖וֹת altars miz·bə·ḥō·wṯ לְכָל־ to all lə·ḵāl צְבָ֣א the host ṣə·ḇā הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם of heaven . haš·šā·mā·yim 2 Kings 21:6 וְהֶעֱבִ֤יר He sacrificed wə·he·‘ĕ·ḇîr בְּנוֹ֙ his own son bə·nōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּאֵ֔שׁ in the fire , bā·’êš וְעוֹנֵ֣ן practiced sorcery wə·‘ō·w·nên וְנִחֵ֔שׁ and divination , wə·ni·ḥêš וְעָ֥שָׂה and consulted wə·‘ā·śāh א֖וֹב mediums ’ō·wḇ וְיִדְּעֹנִ֑ים and spiritists . wə·yid·də·‘ō·nîm לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת He did la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הִרְבָּ֗ה great hir·bāh הָרַ֛ע evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינֵ֥י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh לְהַכְעִֽיס׃ provoking Him to anger . lə·haḵ·‘îs 2 Kings 21:7 פֶּ֥סֶל Manasseh even took the carved pe·sel הָאֲשֵׁרָ֖ה Asherah pole hā·’ă·šê·rāh אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָשָׂ֑ה he had made ‘ā·śāh וַיָּ֕שֶׂם and set it up way·yā·śem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בַּבַּ֗יִת in the temple , bab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֨ר of which ’ă·šer יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֤ר had said ’ā·mar אֶל־ to ’el- דָּוִד֙ David dā·wiḏ וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- בְנ֔וֹ and his son ḇə·nōw שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה Solomon , šə·lō·mōh הַזֶּ֜ה “ In this haz·zeh בַּבַּ֨יִת temple bab·ba·yiṯ וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם and in Jerusalem , ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ’ă·šer בָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ I have chosen bā·ḥar·tî מִכֹּל֙ out of all mik·kōl שִׁבְטֵ֣י the tribes šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָשִׂ֥ים I will establish ’ā·śîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמִ֖י My Name šə·mî לְעוֹלָֽם׃ forever . lə·‘ō·w·lām 2 Kings 21:8 וְלֹ֣א I will never wə·lō אֹסִ֗יף again ’ō·sîp̄ רֶ֣גֶל cause the feet re·ḡel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl לְהָנִיד֙ to wander lə·hā·nîḏ מִן־ from min- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer נָתַ֖תִּי I gave nā·ṯat·tî לַֽאֲבוֹתָ֑ם to their fathers , la·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām אִם־ if ’im- רַ֣ק׀ only raq יִשְׁמְר֣וּ they are careful yiš·mə·rū לַעֲשׂ֗וֹת to do la·‘ă·śō·wṯ כְּכֹל֙ all kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer צִוִּיתִ֔ים I have commanded them — ṣiw·wî·ṯîm וּלְכָל־ the whole ū·lə·ḵāl- הַ֨תּוֹרָ֔ה Law hat·tō·w·rāh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- עַבְדִּ֥י My servant ‘aḇ·dî מֹשֶֽׁה׃ Moses mō·šeh צִוָּ֥ה commanded ṣiw·wāh אֹתָ֖ם them . ” ’ō·ṯām 2 Kings 21:9 וְלֹ֖א But [the people] did not wə·lō
