אֲדֹנָיו֙ his master ’ă·ḏō·nāw מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֤וּר׀ of Assyria ’aš·šūr שְׁלָח֨וֹ has sent šə·lā·ḥōw לְחָרֵף֙ to defy lə·ḥā·rêp̄ חַ֔י the living ḥay אֱלֹהִ֣ים God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וְהוֹכִ֙יחַ֙ and He will rebuke him wə·hō·w·ḵî·aḥ בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים for the words bad·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā שָׁמַ֖ע has heard . šā·ma‘ וְנָשָׂ֣אתָ Therefore lift up wə·nā·śā·ṯā תְפִלָּ֔ה a prayer ṯə·p̄il·lāh בְּעַ֥ד for bə·‘aḏ הַשְּׁאֵרִ֖ית the remnant haš·šə·’ê·rîṯ הַנִּמְצָאָֽה׃ that still survives . ” han·nim·ṣā·’āh 2 Kings 19:5 עַבְדֵ֛י So the servants ‘aḇ·ḏê הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ of King ham·me·leḵ חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ Hezekiah ḥiz·qî·yā·hū וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ went way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- יְשַֽׁעַיָֽהוּ׃ Isaiah , yə·ša·‘a·yā·hū 2 Kings 19:6 יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ who yə·ša‘·yā·hū וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied way·yō·mer לָהֶם֙ , lā·hem תֹאמְר֖וּן “ Tell ṯō·mə·rūn אֶל־ . . . ’el- אֲדֹֽנֵיכֶ֑ם your master ’ă·ḏō·nê·ḵem כֹּ֣ה׀ . . . kōh כֹּ֥ה that this is what kōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַל־ ‘ Do not ’al- תִּירָא֙ be afraid tî·rā מִפְּנֵ֤י of mip·pə·nê הַדְּבָרִים֙ the words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ you have heard , šā·ma‘·tā אֲשֶׁ֧ר with which ’ă·šer נַעֲרֵ֥י the servants na·‘ă·rê מֶֽלֶךְ־ of the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֖וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr גִּדְּפ֛וּ have blasphemed gid·də·p̄ū אֹתִֽי׃ Me . ’ō·ṯî 2 Kings 19:7 הִנְנִ֨י Behold , hin·nî נֹתֵ֥ן I will put nō·ṯên ר֔וּחַ a spirit rū·aḥ בּוֹ֙ in him bōw וְשָׁמַ֥ע so that he will hear wə·šā·ma‘ שְׁמוּעָ֖ה a rumor šə·mū·‘āh וְשָׁ֣ב and return wə·šāḇ לְאַרְצ֑וֹ to his own land , lə·’ar·ṣōw בְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃ where bə·’ar·ṣōw וְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יו I will cause him to fall wə·hip·pal·tîw בַּחֶ֖רֶב by the sword . ’” ba·ḥe·reḇ 2 Kings 19:8 כִּ֣י When kî רַב־ vvv raḇ- שָׁקֵ֔ה the Rabshakeh šā·qêh שָׁמַ֔ע heard šā·ma‘ כִּ֥י that kî מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr נָסַ֖ע had left nā·sa‘ מִלָּכִֽישׁ׃ Lachish , mil·lā·ḵîš וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ he withdrew way·yā·šāḇ וַיִּמְצָא֙ and found way·yim·ṣā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נִלְחָ֖ם [the king] fighting nil·ḥām עַל־ against ‘al- לִבְנָ֑ה Libnah . liḇ·nāh 2 Kings 19:9 וַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע Now Sennacherib had been warned way·yiš·ma‘ אֶל־ about ’el- תִּרְהָ֤קָה Tirhakah tir·hā·qāh מֶֽלֶך־ king me·leḵ- כּוּשׁ֙ of Cush kūš לֵאמֹ֔ר : lê·mōr הִנֵּ֥ה “ Look , hin·nêh יָצָ֖א he has set out yā·ṣā לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥêm אִתָּ֑ךְ against you . ” ’it·tāḵ וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ So Sennacherib again way·yā·šāḇ וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֔ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm
