כָּל־ [and] kāl- כֶּ֗סֶף the money ke·sep̄ אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer לְהָבִ֖יא brought lə·hā·ḇî יַֽעֲלֶה֙ voluntarily ya·‘ă·leh עַ֣ל . . . ‘al לֶב־ . . . leḇ- אִ֔ישׁ . . . ’îš בֵּ֥ית into the house bêṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh 2 Kings 12:5 אִ֖ישׁ Let every ’îš מֵאֵ֣ת . . . mê·’êṯ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים priest hak·kō·hă·nîm יִקְח֤וּ receive [it] yiq·ḥū לָהֶם֙ vvv lā·hem מַכָּר֑וֹ from his constituency , mak·kā·rōw וְהֵ֗ם and let it be used wə·hêm יְחַזְּקוּ֙ to repair yə·ḥaz·zə·qū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְכֹ֛ל vvv lə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ vvv ’ă·šer- בֶּ֣דֶק any damage be·ḏeq בָּֽדֶק׃פ . . . bā·ḏeq יִמָּצֵ֥א found yim·mā·ṣê הַבַּ֔יִת in the temple hab·ba·yiṯ שָׁ֖ם . . . . ” šām 2 Kings 12:6 עֶשְׂרִ֧ים By the twenty-third ‘eś·rîm וְשָׁלֹ֛שׁ . . . wə·šā·lōš שָׁנָ֖ה . . . šā·nāh בִּשְׁנַ֨ת year biš·naṯ לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ of the reign lam·me·leḵ יְהוֹאָ֑שׁ of Joash , yə·hō·w·’āš וַיְהִ֗י however , way·hî הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹֽא־ had not yet lō- חִזְּק֥וּ repaired ḥiz·zə·qū בֶּ֥דֶק the damage be·ḏeq הַבָּֽיִת׃ to the temple . hab·bā·yiṯ 2 Kings 12:7 הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ So King ham·me·leḵ יְהוֹאָ֜שׁ Joash yə·hō·w·’āš וַיִּקְרָא֩ called way·yiq·rā לִיהוֹיָדָ֤ע Jehoiada lî·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ הַכֹּהֵן֙ - hak·kō·hên וְלַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים and the other priests wə·lak·kō·hă·nîm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶ֔ם . . . ’ă·lê·hem מַדּ֛וּעַ “ Why mad·dū·a‘ אֵינְכֶ֥ם have you not ’ê·nə·ḵem מְחַזְּקִ֖ים repaired mə·ḥaz·zə·qîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֶּ֣דֶק the damage be·ḏeq הַבָּ֑יִת to the temple ? hab·bā·yiṯ וְעַתָּ֗ה Now, therefore , wə·‘at·tāh תִּקְחוּ־ take tiq·ḥū- אַל־ no more ’al- כֶ֙סֶף֙ money ḵe·sep̄ מֵאֵ֣ת from mê·’êṯ מַכָּֽרֵיכֶ֔ם your constituency , mak·kā·rê·ḵem כִּֽי־ but kî- תִּתְּנֻֽהוּ׃ hand it over tit·tə·nu·hū לְבֶ֥דֶק for the repair lə·ḇe·ḏeq הַבַּ֖יִת of the temple . ” hab·ba·yiṯ 2 Kings 12:8 הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֑ים So the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm וַיֵּאֹ֖תוּ agreed way·yê·’ō·ṯū לְבִלְתִּ֤י that they would not lə·ḇil·tî קְחַת־ receive qə·ḥaṯ- כֶּ֙סֶף֙ money ke·sep̄ מֵאֵ֣ת from mê·’êṯ הָעָ֔ם the people hā·‘ām וּלְבִלְתִּ֥י and that they would not ū·lə·ḇil·tî חַזֵּ֖ק repair ḥaz·zêq אֶת־ vvv ’eṯ- בֶּ֥דֶק vvv be·ḏeq הַבָּֽיִת׃ the temple {themselves} . hab·bā·yiṯ 2 Kings 12:9 יְהוֹיָדָ֤ע Then Jehoiada yə·hō·w·yā·ḏā‘ הַכֹּהֵן֙ the priest hak·kō·hên וַיִּקַּ֞ח took way·yiq·qaḥ אֶחָ֔ד a ’e·ḥāḏ אֲר֣וֹן chest , ’ă·rō·wn וַיִּקֹּ֥ב bored way·yiq·qōḇ חֹ֖ר a hole ḥōr בְּדַלְתּ֑וֹ in its lid , bə·ḏal·tōw וַיִּתֵּ֣ן and set way·yit·tên אֹתוֹ֩ - ’ō·ṯōw
