רַ֕ק but raq לֹ֥א not lō כְאָבִ֖יו as his father ḵə·’ā·ḇîw וּכְאִמּ֑וֹ and mother [had done] . ū·ḵə·’im·mōw וַיָּ֙סַר֙ He removed way·yā·sar אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַצְּבַ֣ת the sacred pillar maṣ·ṣə·ḇaṯ הַבַּ֔עַל of Baal hab·ba·‘al אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אָבִֽיו׃ his father ’ā·ḇîw עָשָׂ֖ה had made . ‘ā·śāh 2 Kings 3:3 רַ֠ק Nevertheless , raq דָּבֵ֑ק he clung dā·ḇêq בְּחַטֹּ֞אות to the sins bə·ḥaṭ·ṭō·wṯ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יָרָבְעָ֧ם Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּֽן־ son ben- נְבָ֛ט of Nebat nə·ḇāṭ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל had caused Israel yiś·rā·’êl הֶחֱטִ֥יא to commit ; he·ḥĕ·ṭî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹא־ he did not lō- סָ֖ר turn away sār מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ס from them . mim·men·nāh 2 Kings 3:4 וּמֵישַׁ֥ע Now Mesha ū·mê·ša‘ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מוֹאָ֖ב of Moab mō·w·’āḇ הָיָ֣ה was hā·yāh נֹקֵ֑ד a sheep breeder , nō·qêḏ וְהֵשִׁ֤יב and he would render wə·hê·šîḇ לְמֶֽלֶךְ־ to the king lə·me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵאָה־ a hundred mê·’āh- אֶ֣לֶף thousand ’e·lep̄ כָּרִ֔ים lambs kā·rîm צָֽמֶר׃ and the wool ṣā·mer וּמֵ֥אָה of a hundred ū·mê·’āh אֶ֖לֶף thousand ’e·lep̄ אֵילִ֥ים rams . ’ê·lîm 2 Kings 3:5 וַיְהִ֖י But after way·hî כְּמ֣וֹת the death kə·mō·wṯ אַחְאָ֑ב of Ahab , ’aḥ·’āḇ מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- מוֹאָ֖ב of Moab mō·w·’āḇ וַיִּפְשַׁ֥ע rebelled way·yip̄·ša‘ בְּמֶ֥לֶךְ against the king bə·me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 3:6 הַה֖וּא So at that ha·hū בַּיּ֥וֹם time bay·yō·wm הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ יְהוֹרָ֛ם Jehoram yə·hō·w·rām וַיֵּצֵ֞א set out way·yê·ṣê מִשֹּׁמְר֑וֹן from Samaria miš·šō·mə·rō·wn וַיִּפְקֹ֖ד and mobilized way·yip̄·qōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 3:7 וַיֵּ֡לֶךְ vvv way·yê·leḵ וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ And he sent way·yiš·laḥ אֶל־ a message to ’el- יְהוֹשָׁפָ֨ט Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יְהוּדָ֜ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh לֵאמֹ֗ר : lê·mōr מֶ֤לֶךְ “ The king me·leḵ מוֹאָב֙ of Moab mō·w·’āḇ פָּשַׁ֣ע has rebelled pā·ša‘ בִּ֔י against me . bî הֲתֵלֵ֥ךְ Will you go hă·ṯê·lêḵ אִתִּ֛י with me ’it·tî לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה to fight lam·mil·ḥā·māh אֶל־ against ’el- מוֹאָ֖ב Moab ? ” mō·w·’āḇ אֶעֱלֶ֔ה “ I will go , ” ’e·‘ĕ·leh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר replied Jehoshaphat . way·yō·mer כָּמ֧וֹנִי “ I [am] kā·mō·w·nî כָמ֛וֹךָ like you , ḵā·mō·w·ḵā כְּעַמִּ֥י my people [are] kə·‘am·mî כְעַמֶּ֖ךָ your people , ḵə·‘am·me·ḵā כְּסוּסַ֥י and my horses [are] kə·sū·say כְּסוּסֶֽיךָ׃ your horses . ” kə·sū·se·ḵā 2 Kings 3:8 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר Then he asked , way·yō·mer
