1 Kings 9:5 וַהֲקִ֨מֹתִ֜י then I will establish wa·hă·qi·mō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛ your royal mam·laḵ·tə·ḵā כִּסֵּ֧א throne kis·sê עַל־ over ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel forever yiś·rā·’êl לְעֹלָ֑ם . . . , lə·‘ō·lām כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר as ka·’ă·šer דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי I promised dib·bar·tî עַל־ ‘al- אָבִ֙יךָ֙ your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā דָּוִ֤ד David dā·wiḏ לֵאמֹ֔ר when I said , lê·mōr לֹֽא־ ‘ You will never lō- יִכָּרֵ֤ת fail yik·kā·rêṯ לְךָ֙ lə·ḵā אִ֔ישׁ to have a man ’îš מֵעַ֖ל on mê·‘al כִּסֵּ֥א the throne kis·sê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . ’ yiś·rā·’êl 1 Kings 9:6 אִם־ But if ’im- שׁ֨וֹב indeed šō·wḇ אַתֶּ֤ם you ’at·tem וּבְנֵיכֶם֙ or your sons ū·ḇə·nê·ḵem תְּשֻׁב֜וּן turn away tə·šu·ḇūn מֵֽאַחֲרַ֔י from following Me mê·’a·ḥă·ray וְלֹ֤א and do not wə·lō תִשְׁמְרוּ֙ keep ṯiš·mə·rū מִצְוֺתַ֣י the commandments miṣ·wō·ṯay חֻקֹּתַ֔י [and] statutes ḥuq·qō·ṯay אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer נָתַ֖תִּי I have set nā·ṯat·tî לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם before you , lip̄·nê·ḵem וַהֲלַכְתֶּ֗ם and if you go off wa·hă·laḵ·tem וַעֲבַדְתֶּם֙ to serve wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖ם and worship wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wî·ṯem אֲחֵרִ֔ים other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֣ים gods ’ĕ·lō·hîm לָהֶֽם׃ - , lā·hem 1 Kings 9:7 וְהִכְרַתִּ֣י then I will cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl מֵעַ֨ל from mê·‘al פְּנֵ֤י pə·nê הָאֲדָמָה֙ the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer נָתַ֣תִּי I have given nā·ṯat·tî לָהֶ֔ם them , lā·hem אֲשַׁלַּ֖ח and I will banish ’ă·šal·laḥ מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al פָּנָ֑י My presence pā·nāy וְאֶת־ this wə·’eṯ- הַבַּ֙יִת֙ temple hab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer הִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּי I have sanctified hiq·daš·tî לִשְׁמִ֔י for My Name . liš·mî יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל Then Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְהָיָ֧ה will become wə·hā·yāh לְמָשָׁ֥ל an object of scorn lə·mā·šāl וְלִשְׁנִינָ֖ה and ridicule wə·liš·nî·nāh בְּכָל־ among all bə·ḵāl הָעַמִּֽים׃ peoples . hā·‘am·mîm 1 Kings 9:8 הַזֶּה֙ And [when] this haz·zeh וְהַבַּ֤יִת temple wə·hab·ba·yiṯ יִהְיֶ֣ה has become yih·yeh עֶלְי֔וֹן a heap of rubble , ‘el·yō·wn כָּל־ all kāl- עֹבֵ֥ר who pass ‘ō·ḇêr עָלָ֖יו by it ‘ā·lāw יִשֹּׁ֣ם will be appalled yiš·šōm וְשָׁרָ֑ק and will hiss wə·šā·rāq וְאָמְר֗וּ and say , wə·’ā·mə·rū עַל־ ‘ Why ‘al- מֶ֨ה . . . meh יְהוָה֙ has YHWH Yah·weh עָשָׂ֤ה done ‘ā·śāh כָּ֔כָה such a thing kā·ḵāh הַזֹּ֖את to this haz·zōṯ לָאָ֥רֶץ land lā·’ā·reṣ הַזֶּֽה׃ and to this haz·zeh וְלַבַּ֥יִת temple ? ’ wə·lab·ba·yiṯ 1 Kings 9:9 וְאָמְר֗וּ And [others] will answer , wə·’ā·mə·rū עַל֩ ‘ Because ‘al אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer עָזְב֜וּ they have forsaken ‘ā·zə·ḇū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֗ם their God ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem
