1 Kings 8:2 כָּל־ And all kāl- אִ֣ישׁ the men ’îš יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּקָּ֨הֲל֜וּ came together way·yiq·qā·hă·lū אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ Solomon šə·lō·mōh בֶּחָ֑ג at the feast be·ḥāḡ ה֖וּא . . . hū הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי׃ in the seventh haš·šə·ḇî·‘î הַחֹ֥דֶשׁ month , ha·ḥō·ḏeš בְּיֶ֥רַח the month bə·ye·raḥ הָאֵֽתָנִ֖ים of Ethanim . hā·’ê·ṯā·nîm 1 Kings 8:3 כֹּ֖ל When all kōl זִקְנֵ֣י the elders ziq·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיָּבֹ֕אוּ had arrived , way·yā·ḇō·’ū הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ took up way·yiś·’ū הָאָרֽוֹן׃ the ark , hā·’ā·rō·wn 1 Kings 8:4 וַֽיַּעֲל֞וּ and they brought up way·ya·‘ă·lū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲר֤וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- אֹ֣הֶל the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֔ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ וְאֶֽת־ with wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בָּאֹ֑הֶל [its] bā·’ō·hel הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ sacred haq·qō·ḏeš כְּלֵ֥י furnishings . kə·lê הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים So the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm וְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃ and Levites wə·hal·wî·yim וַיַּעֲל֣וּ carried them up . way·ya·‘ă·lū אֹתָ֔ם - ’ō·ṯām 1 Kings 8:5 לִפְנֵ֣י There, before lip̄·nê הָֽאָר֑וֹן the ark , hā·’ā·rō·wn וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ King wə·ham·me·leḵ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh וְכָל־ and the whole wə·ḵāl עֲדַ֤ת congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl הַנּוֹעָדִ֣ים who had assembled han·nō·w·‘ā·ḏîm עָלָ֔יו with him ‘ā·lāw אִתּ֖וֹ . . . ’it·tōw מְזַבְּחִים֙ sacrificed mə·zab·bə·ḥîm מֵרֹֽב׃ so many mê·rōḇ צֹ֣אן sheep ṣōn וּבָקָ֔ר and oxen ū·ḇā·qār אֲשֶׁ֧ר that ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ they could not lō- יִסָּפְר֛וּ be counted yis·sā·p̄ə·rū וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō יִמָּנ֖וּ or numbered . yim·mā·nū 1 Kings 8:6 הַ֠כֹּהֲנִים Then the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיָּבִ֣אוּ brought way·yā·ḇi·’ū אֲר֨וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn בְּרִית־ of the covenant bə·rîṯ- יְהוָ֧ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ to ’el- מְקוֹמ֛וֹ its place mə·qō·w·mōw אֶל־ in ’el- דְּבִ֥יר the inner sanctuary də·ḇîr הַבַּ֖יִת of the temple , hab·ba·yiṯ אֶל־ - ’el- קֹ֣דֶשׁ the Most Holy Place qō·ḏeš הַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים . . . , haq·qo·ḏā·šîm אֶל־ . . . ’el- תַּ֖חַת beneath ta·ḥaṯ כַּנְפֵ֥י the wings kan·p̄ê הַכְּרוּבִֽים׃ of the cherubim . hak·kə·rū·ḇîm 1 Kings 8:7 כִּ֤י For kî הַכְּרוּבִים֙ the cherubim hak·kə·rū·ḇîm פֹּרְשִׂ֣ים spread pō·rə·śîm כְּנָפַ֔יִם their wings kə·nā·p̄a·yim אֶל־ over ’el- מְק֖וֹם the place mə·qō·wm הָאָר֥וֹן of the ark hā·’ā·rō·wn הַכְּרֻבִ֛ים - hak·kə·ru·ḇîm
