וְאֶקְבְּצָה֩ and I will gather wə·’eq·bə·ṣāh כָּל־ all kāl- יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶל־ to ’el- אֲדֹנִ֨י my lord ’ă·ḏō·nî הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ the king , ham·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְיִכְרְת֤וּ that they may make wə·yiḵ·rə·ṯū בְּרִ֔ית a covenant bə·rîṯ אִתְּךָ֙ with you , ’it·tə·ḵā וּמָ֣לַכְתָּ֔ and that you may rule ū·mā·laḵ·tā בְּכֹ֥ל over all bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ your heart nap̄·še·ḵā תְּאַוֶּ֖ה desires . ” tə·’aw·weh דָּוִ֛ד So David dā·wiḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְּשַׁלַּ֥ח dismissed way·yə·šal·laḥ אַבְנֵ֖ר Abner , ’aḇ·nêr וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ and he went way·yê·leḵ בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ in peace . bə·šā·lō·wm 2 Samuel 3:22 וְהִנֵּה֩ Just then wə·hin·nêh דָוִ֤ד David’s ḏā·wiḏ עַבְדֵ֨י soldiers ‘aḇ·ḏê וְיוֹאָב֙ and Joab wə·yō·w·’āḇ בָּ֣א returned bā מֵֽהַגְּד֔וּד from a raid , mê·hag·gə·ḏūḏ הֵבִ֑יאוּ bringing hê·ḇî·’ū עִמָּ֣ם with them ‘im·mām רָ֖ב a great rāḇ וְשָׁלָ֥ל plunder . wə·šā·lāl וְאַבְנֵ֗ר But Abner [was] wə·’aḇ·nêr אֵינֶ֤נּוּ not ’ê·nen·nū עִם־ with ‘im- דָּוִד֙ David dā·wiḏ בְּחֶבְר֔וֹן in Hebron bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn כִּ֥י because kî שִׁלְּח֖וֹ David had sent him šil·lə·ḥōw וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ on his way way·yê·leḵ בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ in peace . bə·šā·lō·wm 2 Samuel 3:23 וְיוֹאָ֛ב When Joab wə·yō·w·’āḇ וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl הַצָּבָ֥א his troops haṣ·ṣā·ḇā אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אִתּ֖וֹ - ’it·tōw בָּ֑אוּ arrived , bā·’ū לְיוֹאָב֙ [he] lə·yō·w·’āḇ לֵאמֹ֔ר . . . lê·mōr וַיַּגִּ֤דוּ was informed , way·yag·gi·ḏū אַבְנֵ֤ר “ Abner ’aḇ·nêr בֶּן־ son ben- נֵר֙ of Ner nêr בָּֽא־ came bā- אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ see the king , ham·me·leḵ וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֖הוּ who sent him way·šal·lə·ḥê·hū וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ on his way way·yê·leḵ בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ in peace . ” bə·šā·lō·wm 2 Samuel 3:24 יוֹאָב֙ So Joab yō·w·’āḇ וַיָּבֹ֤א went way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer מֶ֣ה “ What meh עָשִׂ֑יתָה have you done ? ‘ā·śî·ṯāh הִנֵּה־ Look , hin·nêh- אַבְנֵר֙ Abner ’aḇ·nêr בָ֤א came ḇā אֵלֶ֔יךָ to you . ’ê·le·ḵā לָמָּה־ Why lām·māh- זֶּ֥ה . . . zeh שִׁלַּחְתּ֖וֹ did you dismiss him ? šil·laḥ·tōw וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ Now he is getting away way·yê·leḵ הָלֽוֹךְ׃ . . . ! hā·lō·wḵ 2 Samuel 3:25 יָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ Surely you realize yā·ḏa‘·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כִּ֥י that kî אַבְנֵ֣ר Abner ’aḇ·nêr בֶּן־ son ben- נֵ֔ר of Ner nêr בָּ֑א came bā לְפַתֹּתְךָ֖ to deceive you lə·p̄at·tō·ṯə·ḵā וְלָדַ֜עַת and to track wə·lā·ḏa·‘aṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מוֹצָֽאֲךָ֙ your movements mō·w·ṣā·’ă·ḵā וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מְבוֹאֶךָ - mə·ḇō·ʾɛ·ḵå̄ וְלָדַ֕עַת . . . wə·lā·ḏa·‘aṯ
