עִם־ with ‘im- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh וְגַ֖ם . . . wə·ḡam עִם־ and with ‘im- אֲנָשִֽׁים׃ס man . ’ă·nā·šîm 1 Samuel 2:27 אִישׁ־ Then a man ’îš- אֱלֹהִ֖ים of God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיָּבֹ֥א came way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ to ’el- עֵלִ֑י Eli ‘ê·lî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and told way·yō·mer אֵלָ֗יו him , ’ê·lāw כֹּ֚ה “ This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar הֲנִגְלֹ֤ה ‘ Did I not clearly reveal Myself hă·niḡ·lōh נִגְלֵ֙יתִי֙ . . . niḡ·lê·ṯî אֶל־ to ’el- אָבִ֔יךָ your father’s ’ā·ḇî·ḵā בֵּ֣ית house bêṯ בִּֽהְיוֹתָ֥ם when they were bih·yō·w·ṯām בְּמִצְרַ֖יִם in Egypt bə·miṣ·ra·yim פַּרְעֹֽה׃ under Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh לְבֵ֥ית house ? lə·ḇêṯ 1 Samuel 2:28 מִכָּל־ And out of all mik·kāl שִׁבְטֵ֨י the tribes šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וּבָחֹ֣ר I selected ū·ḇā·ḥōr אֹ֠תוֹ [your father] ’ō·ṯōw לִי֙ [to be] My lî לְכֹהֵ֔ן priest , lə·ḵō·hên לַעֲל֣וֹת to offer sacrifices la·‘ă·lō·wṯ עַֽל־ on ‘al- מִזְבְּחִ֗י My altar , miz·bə·ḥî לְהַקְטִ֥יר to burn lə·haq·ṭîr קְטֹ֛רֶת incense , qə·ṭō·reṯ לָשֵׂ֥את and to wear lā·śêṯ אֵפ֖וֹד an ephod ’ê·p̄ō·wḏ לְפָנָ֑י in My presence . lə·p̄ā·nāy וָֽאֶתְּנָה֙ I also gave wā·’et·tə·nāh לְבֵ֣ית to the house lə·ḇêṯ אָבִ֔יךָ of your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אִשֵּׁ֖י the offerings ’iš·šê בְּנֵ֥י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of the Israelites {made by fire} . yiś·rā·’êl 1 Samuel 2:29 לָ֣מָּה Why then lām·māh תִבְעֲט֗וּ do you kick at ṯiḇ·‘ă·ṭū בְּזִבְחִי֙ My sacrifice bə·ziḇ·ḥî וּבְמִנְחָתִ֔י and offering ū·ḇə·min·ḥā·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer צִוִּ֖יתִי I have prescribed ṣiw·wî·ṯî מָע֑וֹן for [My] dwelling place ? mā·‘ō·wn וַתְּכַבֵּ֤ד You have honored wat·tə·ḵab·bêḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּנֶ֙יךָ֙ your sons bā·ne·ḵā מִמֶּ֔נִּי more than Me mim·men·nî לְהַבְרִֽיאֲכֶ֗ם by fattening yourselves lə·haḇ·rî·’ă·ḵem מֵרֵאשִׁ֛ית with the best mê·rê·šîṯ כָּל־ of all kāl- מִנְחַ֥ת the offerings min·ḥaṯ לְעַמִּֽי׃ of My people lə·‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel .’ yiś·rā·’êl 1 Samuel 2:30 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore , lā·ḵên יְהוָה֮ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl נְאֻם־ declares : nə·’um- אָמ֣וֹר ‘ I did indeed ’ā·mō·wr אָמַ֔רְתִּי say ’ā·mar·tî בֵּֽיתְךָ֙ that your house bê·ṯə·ḵā וּבֵ֣ית and the house ū·ḇêṯ אָבִ֔יךָ of your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā יִתְהַלְּכ֥וּ would walk yiṯ·hal·lə·ḵū לְפָנַ֖י before Me lə·p̄ā·nay עַד־ vvv ‘aḏ- עוֹלָ֑ם forever . ‘ō·w·lām וְעַתָּ֤ה But now wə·‘at·tāh יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh נְאֻם־ declares : nə·’um- חָלִ֣ילָה Far be it ḥā·lî·lāh לִּ֔י from Me ! lî כִּֽי־ For kî- מְכַבְּדַ֥י I will honor mə·ḵab·bə·ḏay אֲכַבֵּ֖ד those who honor Me , ’ă·ḵab·bêḏ וּבֹזַ֥י but those who despise Me ū·ḇō·zay יֵקָֽלּוּ׃ will be disdained . yê·qāl·lū
