אֵלָ֖יו to him , ’ê·lāw נָּ֥א “ Please nā גְּשָׁה־ come near gə·šāh- וּשְׁקָה־ and kiss ū·šə·qāh- לִּ֖י me , lî בְּנִֽי׃ my son . ” bə·nî Genesis 27:27 וַיִּגַּשׁ֙ So he came near way·yig·gaš וַיִּשַּׁק־ and kissed way·yiš·šaq- ל֔וֹ him . lōw וַיָּ֛רַח When Isaac smelled way·yā·raḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רֵ֥יחַ rê·aḥ בְּגָדָ֖יו his clothing , bə·ḡā·ḏāw וַֽיְבָרֲכֵ֑הוּ he blessed him way·ḇā·ră·ḵê·hū וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and said : way·yō·mer רְאֵה֙ “ Ah , rə·’êh כְּרֵ֣יחַ the smell kə·rê·aḥ בְּנִ֔י of my son bə·nî רֵ֣יחַ is like the smell rê·aḥ שָׂדֶ֔ה of a field śā·ḏeh אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh בֵּרֲכ֖וֹ has blessed . bê·ră·ḵōw Genesis 27:28 הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים May God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וְיִֽתֶּן־ give wə·yit·ten- לְךָ֙ to you lə·ḵā מִטַּל֙ the dew miṭ·ṭal הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of heaven haš·šā·ma·yim וּמִשְׁמַנֵּ֖י and the richness ū·miš·man·nê הָאָ֑רֶץ of the earth — hā·’ā·reṣ וְרֹ֥ב an abundance wə·rōḇ דָּגָ֖ן of grain dā·ḡān וְתִירֹֽשׁ׃ and new wine . wə·ṯî·rōš Genesis 27:29 עַמִּ֗ים May peoples ‘am·mîm יַֽעַבְד֣וּךָ serve you ya·‘aḇ·ḏū·ḵā לְאֻמִּ֔ים and nations lə·’um·mîm וְיִשְׁתַּחוּ bow down wə·yiš·ta·ḥū לְךָ֙ to you . lə·ḵā הֱוֵ֤ה May you be hĕ·wêh גְבִיר֙ the master ḡə·ḇîr לְאַחֶ֔יךָ of your brothers , lə·’a·ḥe·ḵā בְּנֵ֣י and may the sons bə·nê אִמֶּ֑ךָ of your mother ’im·me·ḵā וְיִשְׁתַּחֲוּ֥וּ bow down wə·yiš·ta·ḥăw·wū לְךָ֖ to you . lə·ḵā אֹרְרֶ֣יךָ May those who curse you ’ō·rə·re·ḵā אָר֔וּר be cursed , ’ā·rūr וּֽמְבָרֲכֶ֖יךָ and those who bless you ū·mə·ḇā·ră·ḵe·ḵā בָּרֽוּךְ׃ be blessed . ” bā·rūḵ Genesis 27:30 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר As soon as ka·’ă·šer יִצְחָק֮ Isaac yiṣ·ḥāq כִּלָּ֣ה had finished kil·lāh לְבָרֵ֣ךְ blessing lə·ḇā·rêḵ אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- יַעֲקֹב֒ [him] ya·‘ă·qōḇ וַיְהִ֗י . . . way·hî אַ֣ךְ . . . ’aḵ יַעֲקֹ֔ב and Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ מֵאֵ֥ת . . . mê·’êṯ יָצֹ֤א had left yā·ṣō יָצָא֙ . . . yā·ṣā אָבִ֑יו his father’s ’ā·ḇîw פְּנֵ֖י presence pə·nê יִצְחָ֣ק . . . , yiṣ·ḥāq אָחִ֔יו his brother ’ā·ḥîw וְעֵשָׂ֣ו Esau wə·‘ê·śāw בָּ֖א returned bā מִצֵּידֽוֹ׃ from the hunt . miṣ·ṣê·ḏōw Genesis 27:31 הוּא֙ He hū גַּם־ too gam- וַיַּ֤עַשׂ made way·ya·‘aś מַטְעַמִּ֔ים some tasty food , maṭ·‘am·mîm וַיָּבֵ֖א brought way·yā·ḇê לְאָבִ֑יו it to his father , lə·’ā·ḇîw וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and said way·yō·mer לְאָבִ֗יו to [him] , lə·’ā·ḇîw אָבִי֙ “ My father , ’ā·ḇî יָקֻ֤ם sit up yā·qum וְיֹאכַל֙ and eat wə·yō·ḵal בְּנ֔וֹ of your son’s bə·nōw מִצֵּ֣יד game , miṣ·ṣêḏ בַּעֲב֖וּר so that ba·‘ă·ḇūr נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ you nap̄·še·ḵā תְּבָרֲכַ֥נִּי may bless me . ” tə·ḇā·ră·ḵan·nî
