וַיַּעַבְד֣וּ They served way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבְּעָלִ֣ים the Baals , hab·bə·‘ā·lîm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָעַשְׁתָּר֡וֹת the Ashtoreths , hā·‘aš·tā·rō·wṯ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֱלֹהֵ֣י the gods ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲרָם֩ of Aram , ’ă·rām וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- אֱלֹהֵ֨י ’ĕ·lō·hê צִיד֜וֹן Sidon , ṣî·ḏō·wn וְאֵ֣ת׀ and wə·’êṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י . . . ’ĕ·lō·hê מוֹאָ֗ב Moab , mō·w·’āḇ וְאֵת֙ and wə·’êṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the gods ’ĕ·lō·hê בְנֵי־ of the Ammonites ḇə·nê- עַמּ֔וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י - ’ĕ·lō·hê פְלִשְׁתִּ֑ים and Philistines . p̄ə·liš·tîm וַיַּעַזְב֥וּ Thus they forsook way·ya·‘az·ḇū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וְלֹ֥א and did not wə·lō עֲבָדֽוּהוּ׃ serve Him . ‘ă·ḇā·ḏū·hū Judges 10:7 אַ֥ף So the anger ’ap̄ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּֽחַר־ burned way·yi·ḥar- בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל against Israel , bə·yiś·rā·’êl וַֽיִּמְכְּרֵם֙ and He sold them way·yim·kə·rêm בְּיַד־ into the hands bə·yaḏ- פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים of the Philistines pə·liš·tîm וּבְיַ֖ד . . . ū·ḇə·yaḏ בְּנֵ֥י and Ammonites bə·nê עַמּֽוֹן׃ . . . , ‘am·mō·wn Judges 10:8 הַהִ֑יא who that very ha·hî בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה year baš·šā·nāh וַֽיִּרְעֲצ֤וּ harassed way·yir·‘ă·ṣū וַיְרֹֽצְצוּ֙ and oppressed way·rō·ṣə·ṣū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites , bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl שְׁמֹנֶ֨ה and did so for eighteen šə·mō·neh עֶשְׂרֵ֜ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֗ה years šā·nāh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ to all kāl- בְּנֵ֤י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁר֙ - ’ă·šer בְּעֵ֣בֶר on the other side bə·‘ê·ḇer הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן of the Jordan hay·yar·dên אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בַּגִּלְעָֽד׃ in Gilead , bag·gil·‘āḏ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ the land bə·’e·reṣ הָאֱמֹרִ֖י of the Amorites . hā·’ĕ·mō·rî Judges 10:9 בְנֵֽי־ The Ammonites ḇə·nê- עַמּוֹן֙ . . . ‘am·mō·wn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גַּם־ also gam- וַיַּעַבְר֤וּ crossed way·ya·‘aḇ·rū הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן the Jordan hay·yar·dên לְהִלָּחֵ֛ם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥêm בִּיהוּדָ֥ה against Judah , bî·hū·ḏāh וּבְבִנְיָמִ֖ין Benjamin , ū·ḇə·ḇin·yā·mîn וּבְבֵ֣ית and the house ū·ḇə·ḇêṯ אֶפְרָ֑יִם of Ephraim , ’ep̄·rā·yim לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל and Israel lə·yiś·rā·’êl מְאֹֽד׃ was in deep mə·’ōḏ וַתֵּ֥צֶר distress . wat·tê·ṣer Judges 10:10 בְּנֵ֣י Then the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וַֽיִּזְעֲקוּ֙ cried out way·yiz·‘ă·qū אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh לֵאמֹ֑ר saying , lê·mōr חָטָ֣אנוּ “ We have sinned ḥā·ṭā·nū לָ֔ךְ against You , lāḵ וְכִ֤י for we have indeed wə·ḵî עָזַ֙בְנוּ֙ forsaken ‘ā·zaḇ·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū וַֽנַּעֲבֹ֖ד and served wan·na·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבְּעָלִֽים׃פ the Baals . ” hab·bə·‘ā·lîm
