Judges 1:31 אָשֵׁ֗ר Asher ’ā·šêr לֹ֤א failed lō הוֹרִישׁ֙ to drive out hō·w·rîš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יֹשְׁבֵ֣י the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê עַכּ֔וֹ of Acco , ‘ak·kōw וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- יוֹשְׁבֵ֖י - yō·wō·šə·ḇê צִיד֑וֹן Sidon , ṣî·ḏō·wn וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אַחְלָ֤ב Ahlab , ’aḥ·lāḇ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אַכְזִיב֙ Achzib , ’aḵ·zîḇ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- חֶלְבָּ֔ה Helbah , ḥel·bāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲפִ֖יק Aphik , ’ă·p̄îq וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- רְחֹֽב׃ Rehob . rə·ḥōḇ Judges 1:32 הָאָ֣שֵׁרִ֔י So the Asherites hā·’ā·šê·rî וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ lived way·yê·šeḇ בְּקֶ֥רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י the Canaanite hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî יֹשְׁבֵ֣י inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land , hā·’ā·reṣ כִּ֖י because kî לֹ֥א they did not lō הוֹרִישֽׁוֹ׃ס drive them out . hō·w·rî·šōw Judges 1:33 נַפְתָּלִ֗י Naphtali nap̄·tā·lî לֹֽא־ failed lō- הוֹרִ֞ישׁ to drive out hō·w·rîš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יֹשְׁבֵ֤י the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê בֵֽית־ vvv ḇêṯ- שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ of Beth-shemesh še·meš וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- יֹשְׁבֵ֣י - yō·šə·ḇê בֵית־ vvv ḇêṯ- עֲנָ֔ת Beth-anath . ‘ă·nāṯ וַיֵּ֕שֶׁב So [the Naphtalites] also lived way·yê·šeḇ בְּקֶ֥רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י the Canaanite hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî יֹשְׁבֵ֣י inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land , hā·’ā·reṣ וְיֹשְׁבֵ֤י but the inhabitants wə·yō·šə·ḇê בֵֽית־ vvv ḇêṯ- שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ of Beth-shemesh še·meš וּבֵ֣ית vvv ū·ḇêṯ עֲנָ֔ת and Beth-anath ‘ă·nāṯ הָי֥וּ served hā·yū לָהֶ֖ם them lā·hem לָמַֽס׃ס as forced laborers . lā·mas Judges 1:34 הָאֱמֹרִ֛י The Amorites hā·’ĕ·mō·rî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּלְחֲצ֧וּ forced way·yil·ḥă·ṣū בְּנֵי־ the Danites bə·nê- דָ֖ן . . . ḏān הָהָ֑רָה into the hill country hā·hā·rāh כִּי־ and kî- לֹ֥א did not lō נְתָנ֖וֹ allow them nə·ṯā·nōw לָרֶ֥דֶת to come down lā·re·ḏeṯ לָעֵֽמֶק׃ into the plain . lā·‘ê·meq Judges 1:35 הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ And the Amorites hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וַיּ֤וֹאֶל were determined way·yō·w·’el לָשֶׁ֣בֶת to dwell lā·še·ḇeṯ בְּהַר־ in Mount bə·har- חֶ֔רֶס Heres , ḥe·res בְּאַיָּל֖וֹן Aijalon , bə·’ay·yā·lō·wn וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֑ים and Shaalbim . ū·ḇə·ša·‘al·ḇîm בֵּית־ But when the house bêṯ- יוֹסֵ֔ף of Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וַתִּכְבַּד֙ grew wat·tiḵ·baḏ יַ֣ד in strength , yaḏ וַיִּהְי֖וּ they pressed the Amorites way·yih·yū לָמַֽס׃ into forced labor . lā·mas Judges 1:36 וּגְבוּל֙ And the border ū·ḡə·ḇūl הָאֱמֹרִ֔י of the Amorites hā·’ĕ·mō·rî מִֽמַּעֲלֵ֖ה [extended] from the Ascent mim·ma·‘ă·lêh עַקְרַבִּ֑ים of Akrabbim ‘aq·rab·bîm מֵהַסֶּ֖לַע to Sela mê·has·se·la‘ וָמָֽעְלָה׃פ and beyond . wā·mā·‘ə·lāh
