Genesis 25:12 וְאֵ֛לֶּה This wə·’êl·leh תֹּלְדֹ֥ת is the account tō·lə·ḏōṯ אַבְרָהָ֑ם of Abraham’s ’aḇ·rā·hām בֶּן־ son ben- יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל Ishmael , yiš·mā·‘êl אֲשֶׁ֨ר whom ’ă·šer הָגָ֧ר Hagar hā·ḡār הַמִּצְרִ֛ית the Egyptian , ham·miṣ·rîṯ שָׂרָ֖ה Sarah’s śā·rāh שִׁפְחַ֥ת maidservant , šip̄·ḥaṯ יָלְדָ֜ה bore yā·lə·ḏāh לְאַבְרָהָֽם׃ to Abraham . lə·’aḇ·rā·hām Genesis 25:13 וְאֵ֗לֶּה These wə·’êl·leh שְׁמוֹת֙ are the names šə·mō·wṯ בְּנֵ֣י of the sons bə·nê יִשְׁמָעֵ֔אל of Ishmael yiš·mā·‘êl בִּשְׁמֹתָ֖ם vvv biš·mō·ṯām לְתוֹלְדֹתָ֑ם in the order of their birth : lə·ṯō·wl·ḏō·ṯām נְבָיֹ֔ת Nebaioth nə·ḇā·yōṯ בְּכֹ֤ר the firstborn bə·ḵōr יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ of Ishmael , yiš·mā·‘êl וְקֵדָ֥ר then Kedar , wə·qê·ḏār וְאַדְבְּאֵ֖ל Adbeel , wə·’aḏ·bə·’êl וּמִבְשָֽׂם׃ Mibsam , ū·miḇ·śām Genesis 25:14 וּמִשְׁמָ֥ע Mishma , ū·miš·mā‘ וְדוּמָ֖ה Dumah , wə·ḏū·māh וּמַשָּֽׂא׃ Massa , ū·maś·śā Genesis 25:15 חֲדַ֣ד Hadad , ḥă·ḏaḏ וְתֵימָ֔א Tema , wə·ṯê·mā יְט֥וּר Jetur , yə·ṭūr נָפִ֖ישׁ Naphish , nā·p̄îš וָקֵֽדְמָה׃ and Kedemah . wā·qê·ḏə·māh Genesis 25:16 אֵ֣לֶּה These êl·leh הֵ֞ם were hêm בְּנֵ֤י the sons bə·nê יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ of Ishmael , yiš·mā·‘êl וְאֵ֣לֶּה and these wə·’êl·leh שְׁמֹתָ֔ם were their names šə·mō·ṯām בְּחַצְרֵיהֶ֖ם by their villages bə·ḥaṣ·rê·hem וּבְטִֽירֹתָ֑ם and encampments — ū·ḇə·ṭî·rō·ṯām שְׁנֵים־ twelve šə·nêm- עָשָׂ֥ר . . . ‘ā·śār נְשִׂיאִ֖ם princes nə·śî·’im לְאֻמֹּתָֽם׃ of their tribes . lə·’um·mō·ṯām Genesis 25:17 יִשְׁמָעֵ֔אל Ishmael yiš·mā·‘êl חַיֵּ֣י lived ḥay·yê וְאֵ֗לֶּה a total of wə·’êl·leh שְׁנֵי֙ . . . šə·nê מְאַ֥ת 137 mə·’aṯ וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים . . . ū·šə·lō·šîm שָׁנָ֖ה . . . šā·nāh וְשֶׁ֣בַע . . . wə·še·ḇa‘ שָׁנִ֑ים . . . šā·nîm שָׁנָ֛ה years . šā·nāh וַיִּגְוַ֣ע Then he breathed his last way·yiḡ·wa‘ וַיָּ֔מָת and died , way·yā·māṯ וַיֵּאָ֖סֶף and was gathered way·yê·’ā·sep̄ אֶל־ to ’el- עַמָּֽיו׃ his people . ‘am·māw Genesis 25:18 וַיִּשְׁכְּנ֨וּ [Ishmael’s descendants] settled way·yiš·kə·nū מֵֽחֲוִילָ֜ה from Havilah mê·ḥă·wî·lāh עַד־ to ‘aḏ- שׁ֗וּר Shur , šūr אֲשֶׁר֙ which ’ă·šer עַל־ is near ‘al- פְּנֵ֣י the border pə·nê מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim בֹּאֲכָ֖ה as you go bō·’ă·ḵāh אַשּׁ֑וּרָה toward Asshur . ’aš·šū·rāh נָפָֽל׃פ And they lived nā·p̄āl עַל־ in hostility ‘al- פְּנֵ֥י toward pə·nê כָל־ all ḵāl אֶחָ֖יו their brothers . ’e·ḥāw Genesis 25:19 וְאֵ֛לֶּה This wə·’êl·leh תּוֹלְדֹ֥ת is the account tō·wl·ḏōṯ
