אָחִ֜יו to their brothers ’ā·ḥîw לְשִׁמְע֨וֹן the Simeonites , lə·šim·‘ō·wn עֲלֵ֧ה “ Come up ‘ă·lêh אִתִּ֣י with us ’it·tî בְגוֹרָלִ֗י to our allotted territory , ḇə·ḡō·w·rā·lî וְנִֽלָּחֲמָה֙ and let us fight wə·nil·lā·ḥă·māh בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י against the Canaanites . bak·kə·na·‘ă·nî אֲנִ֛י And we ’ă·nî גַם־ likewise ḡam- וְהָלַכְתִּ֧י will go wə·hā·laḵ·tî אִתְּךָ֖ with you ’it·tə·ḵā בְּגוֹרָלֶ֑ךָ to your territory . ” bə·ḡō·w·rā·le·ḵā שִׁמְעֽוֹן׃ So the Simeonites šim·‘ō·wn וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ went way·yê·leḵ אִתּ֖וֹ with them . ’it·tōw Judges 1:4 יְהוּדָ֔ה When Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וַיַּ֣עַל attacked , way·ya·‘al יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּתֵּ֧ן delivered way·yit·tên הַכְּנַעֲנִ֥י the Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וְהַפְּרִזִּ֖י and Perizzites wə·hap·pə·riz·zî בְּיָדָ֑ם into their hands , bə·yā·ḏām וַיַּכּ֣וּם and they struck down way·yak·kūm עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת ten ‘ă·śe·reṯ אֲלָפִ֖ים thousand ’ă·lā·p̄îm אִֽישׁ׃ men ’îš בְּבֶ֔זֶק at Bezek . bə·ḇe·zeq Judges 1:5 בְּבֶ֔זֶק And [there] bə·ḇe·zeq וַֽ֠יִּמְצְאוּ they found way·yim·ṣə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲדֹנִ֥י vvv ’ă·ḏō·nî בֶ֙זֶק֙ Adoni-bezek ḇe·zeq וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ and fought way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū בּ֑וֹ against him , bōw וַיַּכּ֕וּ striking down way·yak·kū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י the Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַפְּרִזִּֽי׃ and Perizzites . hap·pə·riz·zî Judges 1:6 בֶ֔זֶק As Adoni-bezek ḇe·zeq וַיָּ֙נָס֙ fled way·yā·nās אֲדֹ֣נִי , ’ă·ḏō·nî וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ they pursued him , way·yir·də·p̄ū אַחֲרָ֑יו . . . ’a·ḥă·rāw וַיֹּאחֲז֣וּ seized him , way·yō·ḥă·zū אֹת֔וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw וַֽיְקַצְּצ֔וּ and cut off way·qaṣ·ṣə·ṣū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּהֹנ֥וֹת his thumbs bə·hō·nō·wṯ יָדָ֖יו . . . yā·ḏāw וְרַגְלָֽיו׃ and big toes . wə·raḡ·lāw Judges 1:7 בֶ֗זֶק Then Adoni-bezek ḇe·zeq וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֲדֹֽנִי־ , ’ă·ḏō·nî- שִׁבְעִ֣ים׀ “ Seventy šiḇ·‘îm מְלָכִ֡ים kings mə·lā·ḵîm בְּֽהֹנוֹת֩ with their thumbs bə·hō·nō·wṯ יְדֵיהֶ֨ם . . . yə·ḏê·hem וְרַגְלֵיהֶ֜ם and big toes wə·raḡ·lê·hem מְקֻצָּצִ֗ים cut off mə·quṣ·ṣā·ṣîm הָי֤וּ . . . hā·yū מְלַקְּטִים֙ have gathered [the scraps] mə·laq·qə·ṭîm תַּ֣חַת under ta·ḥaṯ שֻׁלְחָנִ֔י my table . šul·ḥā·nî כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר As ka·’ă·šer עָשִׂ֔יתִי I have done [to them] , ‘ā·śî·ṯî כֵּ֥ן so kên אֱלֹהִ֑ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm שִׁלַּם־ has repaid šil·lam- לִ֖י me . ” lî וַיְבִיאֻ֥הוּ And they brought him way·ḇî·’u·hū יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם to Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וַיָּ֥מָת where he died way·yā·māṯ שָֽׁם׃פ . . . . šām Judges 1:8 בְנֵֽי־ Then the men ḇə·nê- יְהוּדָה֙ of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וַיִּלָּחֲמ֤וּ fought way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם against Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וַיִּלְכְּד֣וּ and captured it . way·yil·kə·ḏū אוֹתָ֔הּ - ’ō·w·ṯāh וַיַּכּ֖וּהָ They put [the city] way·yak·kū·hā לְפִי־ vvv lə·p̄î- חָ֑רֶב to the sword ḥā·reḇ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ-
