Joshua 11:3 הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ to the Canaanites hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî מִמִּזְרָ֣ח in the east mim·miz·rāḥ וּמִיָּ֔ם and west ; ū·mî·yām וְהָאֱמֹרִ֧י to the Amorites , wə·hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְהַחִתִּ֛י Hittites , wə·ha·ḥit·tî וְהַפְּרִזִּ֥י Perizzites , wə·hap·pə·riz·zî וְהַיְבוּסִ֖י and Jebusites wə·hay·ḇū·sî בָּהָ֑ר in the hill country ; bā·hār וְהַֽחִוִּי֙ and to the Hivites wə·ha·ḥiw·wî תַּ֣חַת at the foot of ta·ḥaṯ חֶרְמ֔וֹן Hermon ḥer·mō·wn בְּאֶ֖רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ הַמִּצְפָּֽה׃ of Mizpah . ham·miṣ·pāh Joshua 11:4 הֵ֗ם So [these kings] hêm וַיֵּצְא֣וּ came out way·yê·ṣə·’ū עִמָּ֔ם with ‘im·mām וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl מַֽחֲנֵיהֶם֙ their armies , ma·ḥă·nê·hem עַם־ a multitude ‘am- רָ֕ב as numerous rāḇ כַּח֛וֹל as the sand ka·ḥō·wl אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer עַל־ on ‘al- שְׂפַת־ the seashore śə·p̄aṯ- הַיָּ֖ם . . . , hay·yām לָרֹ֑ב lā·rōḇ רַב־ along with a great number raḇ- מְאֹֽד׃ . . . mə·’ōḏ וְס֥וּס of horses wə·sūs וָרֶ֖כֶב and chariots . wā·re·ḵeḇ Joshua 11:5 כֹּ֖ל All kōl הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַמְּלָכִ֣ים kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm וַיִּוָּ֣עֲד֔וּ joined forces way·yiw·wā·‘ă·ḏū וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ vvv way·yā·ḇō·’ū וַיַּחֲנ֤וּ and encamped way·ya·ḥă·nū יַחְדָּו֙ - yaḥ·dāw אֶל־ at ’el- מֵ֣י the waters mê מֵר֔וֹם of Merom mê·rō·wm לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥêm עִם־ against ‘im- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Joshua 11:6 יְהוָ֣ה Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוֹשֻׁעַ֮ Joshua , yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֣א be afraid tî·rā מִפְּנֵיהֶם֒ of them , mip·pə·nê·hem כִּֽי־ for kî- הַזֹּ֗את by this haz·zōṯ כָּעֵ֣ת time kā·‘êṯ מָחָ֞ר tomorrow mā·ḥār אָנֹכִ֞י I ’ā·nō·ḵî נֹתֵ֧ן will deliver nō·ṯên אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כֻּלָּ֛ם all of them kul·lām חֲלָלִ֖ים slain ḥă·lā·lîm לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תְּעַקֵּ֔ר You are to hamstring tə·‘aq·qêr סוּסֵיהֶ֣ם their horses sū·sê·hem וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- תִּשְׂרֹ֥ף burn up tiś·rōp̄ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ . . . bā·’êš מַרְכְּבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם their chariots . ” mar·kə·ḇō·ṯê·hem Joshua 11:7 עַל־ So by ‘al- מֵ֥י the waters mê מֵר֖וֹם of Merom , mê·rō·wm יְהוֹשֻׁ֡עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וְכָל־ and his whole wə·ḵāl הַמִּלְחָמָ֨ה army ham·mil·ḥā·māh עִמּ֧וֹ . . . ‘im·mōw עַם֩ . . . ‘am וַיָּבֹ֣א came way·yā·ḇō עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם upon them ‘ă·lê·hem פִּתְאֹ֑ם suddenly piṯ·’ōm וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ and attacked way·yip·pə·lū בָּהֶֽם׃ them , bā·hem Joshua 11:8 יְהוָ֥ה and YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּתְּנֵ֨ם delivered them way·yit·tə·nêm בְּיַֽד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ-
