הָהָר֩ the hill country , hā·hār וְהַנֶּ֨גֶב the Negev , wə·han·ne·ḡeḇ וְהַשְּׁפֵלָ֜ה the foothills , wə·haš·šə·p̄ê·lāh וְהָאֲשֵׁד֗וֹת and the slopes , wə·hā·’ă·šê·ḏō·wṯ וְאֵת֙ together with wə·’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- מַלְכֵיהֶ֔ם their kings — mal·ḵê·hem הִשְׁאִ֖יר leaving hiš·’îr לֹ֥א no lō שָׂרִ֑יד survivors . śā·rîḏ וְאֵ֤ת - wə·’êṯ הֶחֱרִ֔ים He devoted to destruction he·ḥĕ·rîm כָּל־ everything kāl- הַנְּשָׁמָה֙ that breathed , han·nə·šā·māh כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl צִוָּ֔ה had commanded . ṣiw·wāh Joshua 10:41 יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיַּכֵּ֧ם conquered the area way·yak·kêm מִקָּדֵ֥שׁ from miq·qā·ḏêš בַּרְנֵ֖עַ Kadesh-barnea bar·nê·a‘ וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- עַזָּ֑ה Gaza , ‘az·zāh וְאֵ֛ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ and the whole kāl- אֶ֥רֶץ region ’e·reṣ גֹּ֖שֶׁן of Goshen gō·šen וְעַד־ as far as wə·‘aḏ- גִּבְעֽוֹן׃ Gibeon . giḇ·‘ō·wn Joshua 10:42 וְאֵ֨ת And wə·’êṯ כִּ֗י because kî יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl נִלְחָ֖ם fought nil·ḥām לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ for Israel , lə·yiś·rā·’êl יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ לָכַ֥ד captured lā·ḵaḏ כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ these hā·’êl·leh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַמְּלָכִ֤ים kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm אַרְצָ֔ם and their land ’ar·ṣām אֶחָ֑ת in one ’e·ḥāṯ פַּ֣עַם campaign . pa·‘am Joshua 10:43 יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ Then Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיָּ֤שָׁב returned way·yā·šāḇ עִמּ֔וֹ with ‘im·mōw וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֶל־ to ’el- הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה the camp ham·ma·ḥă·neh הַגִּלְגָּֽלָה׃פ at Gilgal . hag·gil·gā·lāh Joshua 11:1 וַיְהִ֕י Now when way·hî יָבִ֣ין Jabin yā·ḇîn מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- חָצ֑וֹר of Hazor ḥā·ṣō·wr כִּשְׁמֹ֖עַ heard about these things , kiš·mō·a‘ וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח he sent word way·yiš·laḥ אֶל־ to ’el- יוֹבָב֙ Jobab yō·w·ḇāḇ מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ מָד֔וֹן of Madon ; mā·ḏō·wn וְאֶל־ to wə·’el- מֶ֥לֶךְ the kings me·leḵ שִׁמְר֖וֹן of Shimron šim·rō·wn וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- מֶ֥לֶךְ . . . me·leḵ אַכְשָֽׁף׃ and Achshaph ; ’aḵ·šāp̄ Joshua 11:2 וְֽאֶל־ to wə·’el- הַמְּלָכִ֞ים the kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm מִצְּפ֗וֹן of the north miṣ·ṣə·p̄ō·wn אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בָּהָ֧ר in the mountains , bā·hār וּבָעֲרָבָ֛ה in the Arabah ū·ḇā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh נֶ֥גֶב south ne·ḡeḇ כִּֽנֲר֖וֹת of Chinnereth , ki·nă·rō·wṯ וּבַשְּׁפֵלָ֑ה in the foothills , ū·ḇaš·šə·p̄ê·lāh וּבְנָפ֥וֹת and in Naphoth-dor ū·ḇə·nā·p̄ō·wṯ דּ֖וֹר . . . dō·wr מִיָּֽם׃ to the west ; mî·yām
