אֶל־ to ’el- אַחֵר֙ another ’a·ḥêr מָק֤וֹם place mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֣ר where ’ă·šer מִשָּׁ֔ם miš·šām תִּרְאֶ֣נּוּ you can see them . tir·’en·nū אֶ֚פֶס You will only ’e·p̄es תִרְאֶ֔ה see ṯir·’eh קָצֵ֣הוּ the outskirts of their camp — qā·ṣê·hū לֹ֣א not lō תִרְאֶ֑ה - ṯir·’eh וְכֻלּ֖וֹ all of them . wə·ḵul·lōw מִשָּֽׁם׃ And from there , miš·šām וְקָבְנוֹ־ curse them wə·qā·ḇə·nōw- לִ֖י for me . ” lî Numbers 23:14 וַיִּקָּחֵ֙הוּ֙ So Balak took him way·yiq·qā·ḥê·hū שְׂדֵ֣ה to the field śə·ḏêh צֹפִ֔ים of Zophim , ṣō·p̄îm אֶל־ to the ’el- רֹ֖אשׁ top rōš הַפִּסְגָּ֑ה of Pisgah , hap·pis·gāh וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ where he built way·yi·ḇen שִׁבְעָ֣ה seven šiḇ·‘āh מִזְבְּחֹ֔ת altars miz·bə·ḥōṯ וַיַּ֛עַל and offered way·ya·‘al פָּ֥ר a bull pār וָאַ֖יִל and a ram wā·’a·yil בַּמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ on each altar . bam·miz·bê·aḥ Numbers 23:15 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ Balaam said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- בָּלָ֔ק Balak , bā·lāq הִתְיַצֵּ֥ב “ Stay hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ כֹּ֖ה here kōh עַל־ beside ‘al- עֹלָתֶ֑ךָ your burnt offering ‘ō·lā·ṯe·ḵā וְאָנֹכִ֖י while I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî אִקָּ֥רֶה meet [YHWH] ’iq·qā·reh כֹּֽה׃ over there . ” kōh Numbers 23:16 יְהוָה֙ And YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּקָּ֤ר met way·yiq·qār אֶל־ with ’el- בִּלְעָ֔ם Balaam bil·‘ām וַיָּ֥שֶׂם and put way·yā·śem דָּבָ֖ר a message dā·ḇār בְּפִ֑יו in his mouth , bə·p̄îw וַיֹּ֛אמֶר saying , way·yō·mer שׁ֥וּב “ Return šūḇ אֶל־ to ’el- בָּלָ֖ק Balak bā·lāq תְדַבֵּֽר׃ and speak ṯə·ḏab·bêr וְכֹ֥ה what I tell you . ” wə·ḵōh Numbers 23:17 וַיָּבֹ֣א So he returned way·yā·ḇō אֵלָ֗יו to Balak , ’ê·lāw נִצָּב֙ who was standing niṣ·ṣāḇ וְהִנּ֤וֹ there wə·hin·nōw עַל־ by ‘al- עֹ֣לָת֔וֹ his burnt offering ‘ō·lā·ṯōw אִתּ֑וֹ with ’it·tōw וְשָׂרֵ֥י the princes wə·śā·rê מוֹאָ֖ב of Moab . mō·w·’āḇ מַה־ “ What mah- יְהוָֽה׃ did YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֖ר say ? ” dib·ber בָּלָ֔ק Balak bā·lāq וַיֹּ֤אמֶר asked way·yō·mer לוֹ֙ . lōw Numbers 23:18 וַיִּשָּׂ֥א Then Balaam lifted up way·yiś·śā מְשָׁל֖וֹ an oracle , mə·šā·lōw וַיֹּאמַ֑ר saying : way·yō·mar ק֤וּם “ Arise , qūm בָּלָק֙ O Balak , bā·lāq וּֽשֲׁמָ֔ע and listen ; ū·šă·mā‘ הַאֲזִ֥ינָה give ha·’ă·zî·nāh עָדַ֖י ear to me , ‘ā·ḏay בְּנ֥וֹ O son bə·nōw צִפֹּֽר׃ of Zippor . ṣip·pōr Numbers 23:19 אֵל֙ God ’êl לֹ֣א is not lō אִ֥ישׁ a man , ’îš וִֽיכַזֵּ֔ב that He should lie , wî·ḵaz·zêḇ וּבֶן־ or a son ū·ḇen- אָדָ֖ם of man , ’ā·ḏām
