Micah 7:4 טוֹבָ֣ם The best of them [is] ṭō·w·ḇām כְּחֵ֔דֶק like a brier ; kə·ḥê·ḏeq יָשָׁ֖ר the most upright [is sharper] yā·šār מִמְּסוּכָ֑ה than a hedge of thorns . mim·mə·sū·ḵāh י֤וֹם The day yō·wm מְצַפֶּ֙יךָ֙ for your watchmen mə·ṣap·pe·ḵā בָ֔אָה has come , ḇā·’āh פְּקֻדָּתְךָ֣ [the day of] your visitation . pə·qud·dā·ṯə·ḵā עַתָּ֥ה Now ‘at·tāh תִהְיֶ֖ה is [the time] ṯih·yeh מְבוּכָתָֽם׃ of their confusion . mə·ḇū·ḵā·ṯām Micah 7:5 אַל־ Do not ’al- תַּאֲמִ֣ינוּ rely ta·’ă·mî·nū בְרֵ֔עַ on a friend ; ḇə·rê·a‘ אַֽל־ do not ’al- תִּבְטְח֖וּ trust tiḇ·ṭə·ḥū בְּאַלּ֑וּף in a companion . bə·’al·lūp̄ שְׁמֹ֖ר Seal šə·mōr פִּתְחֵי־ the doors piṯ·ḥê- פִֽיךָ׃ of your mouth p̄î·ḵā מִשֹּׁכֶ֣בֶת from her who lies miš·šō·ḵe·ḇeṯ חֵיקֶ֔ךָ in your arms . ḥê·qe·ḵā Micah 7:6 כִּֽי־ For kî- בֵן֙ a son ḇên מְנַבֵּ֣ל dishonors mə·nab·bêl אָ֔ב his father , ’āḇ בַּ֚ת a daughter baṯ קָמָ֣ה rises qā·māh בְאִמָּ֔הּ against her mother , ḇə·’im·māh כַּלָּ֖ה and a daughter-in-law kal·lāh בַּחֲמֹתָ֑הּ against her mother-in-law . ba·ḥă·mō·ṯāh אִ֖ישׁ A man’s ’îš אֹיְבֵ֥י enemies [are] ’ō·yə·ḇê אַנְשֵׁ֥י the members ’an·šê בֵיתֽוֹ׃ of his own household . ḇê·ṯōw Micah 7:7 וַאֲנִי֙ But as for me , wa·’ă·nî אֲצַפֶּ֔ה I will look ’ă·ṣap·peh בַּיהוָ֣ה to YHWH ; Yah·weh אוֹחִ֖ילָה I will wait ’ō·w·ḥî·lāh לֵאלֹהֵ֣י for the God lê·lō·hê יִשְׁעִ֑י of my salvation . yiš·‘î אֱלֹהָֽי׃ My God ’ĕ·lō·hāy יִשְׁמָעֵ֖נִי will hear me . yiš·mā·‘ê·nî Micah 7:8 אַֽל־ Do not ’al- תִּשְׂמְחִ֤י gloat tiś·mə·ḥî לִ֔י over me , lî אֹיַ֙בְתִּי֙ my enemy ! ’ō·yaḇ·tî כִּ֥י Though kî נָפַ֖לְתִּי I have fallen , nā·p̄al·tî קָ֑מְתִּי I will arise ; qā·mə·tî כִּֽי־ though kî- אֵשֵׁ֣ב I sit ’ê·šêḇ בַּחֹ֔שֶׁךְ in darkness , ba·ḥō·šeḵ יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh א֥וֹר will be my light ’ō·wr לִֽי׃ס . lî Micah 7:9 כִּ֥י Because kî חָטָ֖אתִי I have sinned ḥā·ṭā·ṯî ל֑וֹ against Him , lōw אֶשָּׂ֔א I must endure ’eś·śā זַ֤עַף the rage za·‘ap̄ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH , Yah·weh עַד֩ until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer יָרִ֤יב He argues yā·rîḇ רִיבִי֙ my case rî·ḇî וְעָשָׂ֣ה and executes wə·‘ā·śāh מִשְׁפָּטִ֔י justice for me . miš·pā·ṭî יוֹצִיאֵ֣נִי He will bring me yō·w·ṣî·’ê·nî לָא֔וֹר into the light ; lā·’ō·wr אֶרְאֶ֖ה I will see ’er·’eh בְּצִדְקָתֽוֹ׃ His righteousness . bə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw Micah 7:10 אֹיַ֙בְתִּי֙ Then my enemy ’ō·yaḇ·tî וְתֵרֶ֤א will see wə·ṯê·re וּתְכַסֶּ֣הָ and will be covered ū·ṯə·ḵas·se·hā בוּשָׁ֔ה with shame — ḇū·šāh הָאֹמְרָ֣ה she who said hā·’ō·mə·rāh אֵלַ֔י to me , ’ê·lay אַיּ֖וֹ “ Where ’ay·yōw
