[’’] bêṯ Ezekiel 4:1 וְאַתָּ֤ה [“] Now you , wə·’at·tāh בֶן־ son ḇen- אָדָם֙ of man , ’ā·ḏām קַח־ take qaḥ- לְךָ֣ lə·ḵā לְבֵנָ֔ה a brick , lə·ḇê·nāh וְנָתַתָּ֥ה place wə·nā·ṯat·tāh אוֹתָ֖הּ it ’ō·w·ṯāh לְפָנֶ֑יךָ before you , lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְחַקּוֹתָ֥ and draw wə·ḥaq·qō·w·ṯā עָלֶ֛יהָ on it ‘ā·le·hā עִ֖יר the city ‘îr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Ezekiel 4:2 וְנָתַתָּ֨ה Then lay wə·nā·ṯat·tāh מָצ֗וֹר siege mā·ṣō·wr עָלֶ֜יהָ against it : ‘ā·le·hā וּבָנִ֤יתָ Construct ū·ḇā·nî·ṯā עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ ‘ā·le·hā דָּיֵ֔ק a siege wall , dā·yêq וְשָׁפַכְתָּ֥ build wə·šā·p̄aḵ·tā סֹֽלְלָ֑ה a ramp sō·lə·lāh עָלֶ֖יהָ to it , ‘ā·le·hā וְנָתַתָּ֨ה set up wə·nā·ṯat·tāh מַחֲנ֛וֹת camps ma·ḥă·nō·wṯ עָלֶ֧יהָ against it , ‘ā·le·hā וְשִׂים־ and place wə·śîm- כָּרִ֖ים battering rams kā·rîm עָלֶ֥יהָ around it ‘ā·le·hā סָבִֽיב׃ on all sides . sā·ḇîḇ Ezekiel 4:3 וְאַתָּ֤ה Then wə·’at·tāh קַח־ take qaḥ- לְךָ֙ lə·ḵā בַּרְזֶ֔ל an iron bar·zel מַחֲבַ֣ת plate ma·ḥă·ḇaṯ וְנָתַתָּ֤ה and set it up wə·nā·ṯat·tāh אוֹתָהּ֙ - ’ō·w·ṯāh בַּרְזֶ֔ל as an iron bar·zel קִ֣יר wall qîr בֵּינְךָ֖ between yourself bê·nə·ḵā וּבֵ֣ין . . . ū·ḇên הָעִ֑יר and the city . hā·‘îr וַהֲכִינֹתָה֩ Turn wa·hă·ḵî·nō·ṯāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פָּנֶ֨יךָ your face pā·ne·ḵā אֵלֶ֜יהָ toward it ’ê·le·hā וְהָיְתָ֤ה so that it is wə·hā·yə·ṯāh בַמָּצוֹר֙ under siege , ḇam·mā·ṣō·wr וְצַרְתָּ֣ and besiege it . wə·ṣar·tā עָלֶ֔יהָ . . . ‘ā·le·hā הִ֖יא This hî א֥וֹת will be a sign ’ō·wṯ לְבֵ֥ית to the house lə·ḇêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Ezekiel 4:4 וְאַתָּ֤ה Then wə·’at·tāh שְׁכַב֙ lie down šə·ḵaḇ
