Job 42:4שְֽׁמַֽע־ You said, ‘Listen šə·ma‘-
נָ֭א now ,
וְאָנֹכִ֣יand Iwə·’ā·nō·ḵî
אֲדַבֵּ֑רwill speak .’ă·ḏab·bêr
אֶ֝שְׁאָלְךָ֗ I will question you , ’eš·’ā·lə·ḵā
וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃and you shall inform Me . ’wə·hō·w·ḏî·‘ê·nî
Job 42:5לְשֵֽׁמַע־My earslə·šê·ma‘-
אֹ֥זֶן. . .’ō·zen
שְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ had heard of You , šə·ma‘·tî·ḵā
וְ֝עַתָּ֗הbut nowwə·‘at·tāh
עֵינִ֥יmy eyes‘ê·nî
רָאָֽתְךָ׃have seen You .rā·’ā·ṯə·ḵā
Job 42:6עַל־Therefore‘al-
כֵּ֭ן. . .kên
אֶמְאַ֣ס I retract [my words] , ’em·’as
וְנִחַ֑מְתִּיand I repentwə·ni·ḥam·tî
עַל־in‘al-
עָפָ֥רdust‘ā·p̄ār
וָאֵֽפֶר׃פand ashes . ”wā·’ê·p̄er

אֱלִיפַ֣זEliphaz’ĕ·lî·p̄az
הַתֵּֽימָנִ֗י the Temanite , hat·tê·mā·nî
אַפִּ֤י“ My wrath’ap·pî
חָרָ֨הis kindledḥā·rāh
בְךָ֙against youḇə·ḵā
וּבִשְׁנֵ֣יand your twoū·ḇiš·nê
רֵעֶ֔יךָfriends .rê·‘e·ḵā
כִּ֠יFor
לֹ֣אyou have not
דִבַּרְתֶּ֥םspokenḏib·bar·tem
אֵלַ֛יabout Me’ê·lay
נְכוֹנָ֖ה accurately , nə·ḵō·w·nāh
כְּעַבְדִּ֥יas My servantkə·‘aḇ·dî
אִיּֽוֹב׃Job has .’î·yō·wḇ
Job 42:8וְעַתָּ֡ה So now , wə·‘at·tāh
קְחֽוּ־takeqə·ḥū-
לָכֶ֣םlā·ḵem
שִׁבְעָֽה־sevenšiḇ·‘āh-
פָרִים֩bullsp̄ā·rîm
וְשִׁבְעָ֨הand sevenwə·šiḇ·‘āh
אֵילִ֜ים rams , ’ê·lîm
וּלְכ֣וּ׀goū·lə·ḵū
אֶל־to’el-
עַבְדִּ֣יMy servant‘aḇ·dî
אִיּ֗וֹב Job , ’î·yō·wḇ
וְהַעֲלִיתֶ֤םand sacrificewə·ha·‘ă·lî·ṯem
עוֹלָה֙a burnt offering‘ō·w·lāh
בַּֽעַדְכֶ֔םfor yourselves .ba·‘aḏ·ḵem
עַבְדִּ֔יThen My servant‘aḇ·dî
וְאִיּ֣וֹבJobwə·’î·yō·wḇ
יִתְפַּלֵּ֖לwill prayyiṯ·pal·lêl
עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם for you , ‘ă·lê·ḵem
כִּ֧יfor
אִם־. . .’im-
אֶשָּׂ֗אI will accept’eś·śā
פָּנָ֣יוhis prayerpā·nāw
לְבִלְתִּ֞יand notlə·ḇil·tî
עֲשׂ֤וֹתdeal‘ă·śō·wṯ
עִמָּכֶם֙with you‘im·mā·ḵem
נְבָלָ֔ה[according to your] folly .nə·ḇā·lāh
כִּ֠יFor
