שִׂ֑יחַ the shrubs , śî·aḥ וְשֹׁ֖רֶשׁ and the roots wə·šō·reš רְתָמִ֣ים of the broom tree rə·ṯā·mîm לַחְמָֽם׃ were their food . laḥ·mām Job 30:5 יְגֹרָ֑שׁוּ They were banished yə·ḡō·rā·šū מִן־ from min- גֵּ֥ו among [men] , gêw יָרִ֥יעוּ shouted yā·rî·‘ū עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ down ‘ā·lê·mōw כַּגַּנָּֽב׃ like thieves , kag·gan·nāḇ Job 30:6 לִשְׁכֹּ֑ן so that they lived liš·kōn בַּעֲר֣וּץ on the slopes ba·‘ă·rūṣ נְחָלִ֣ים of the wadis , nə·ḥā·lîm וְכֵפִֽים׃ among the rocks wə·ḵê·p̄îm חֹרֵ֖י and in holes ḥō·rê עָפָ֣ר in the ground . ‘ā·p̄ār Job 30:7 יִנְהָ֑קוּ They cried out yin·hā·qū בֵּין־ among bên- שִׂיחִ֥ים the shrubs śî·ḥîm יְסֻפָּֽחוּ׃ and huddled yə·sup·pā·ḥū תַּ֖חַת beneath ta·ḥaṯ חָר֣וּל the nettles . ḥā·rūl Job 30:8 נָ֭בָל A senseless nā·ḇāl בְּֽנֵי־ bə·nê- גַּם־ and gam- בְלִי־ vvv ḇə·lî- שֵׁ֑ם nameless šêm בְּנֵ֣י brood , bə·nê נִ֝כְּא֗וּ they were driven nik·kə·’ū מִן־ off min- הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the land . hā·’ā·reṣ Job 30:9 וְ֭עַתָּה And now wə·‘at·tāh הָיִ֑יתִי vvv hā·yî·ṯî נְגִינָתָ֣ם they mock me in song ; nə·ḡî·nā·ṯām וָאֱהִ֖י I have become wā·’ĕ·hî לְמִלָּֽה׃ a byword lə·mil·lāh לָהֶ֣ם among them . lā·hem Job 30:10 תִּֽ֭עֲבוּנִי They abhor me ti·‘ă·ḇū·nî רָ֣חֲקוּ and keep far rā·ḥă·qū מֶ֑נִּי from me ; men·nî לֹא־ they do not lō- חָ֥שְׂכוּ hesitate ḥā·śə·ḵū רֹֽק׃ to spit rōq וּ֝מִפָּנַ֗י in my face . ū·mip·pā·nay Job 30:11 כִּֽי־ Because kî- פִ֭תַּח God has unstrung p̄it·taḥ יִתְרוֹ my bow yiṯ·rō וַיְעַנֵּ֑נִי and afflicted me , way·‘an·nê·nî שִׁלֵּֽחוּ׃ they have cast off šil·lê·ḥū וְ֝רֶ֗סֶן restraint wə·re·sen מִפָּנַ֥י in my presence . mip·pā·nay Job 30:12 פִּרְחַ֪ח The rabble pir·ḥaḥ יָ֫ק֥וּמוּ arises yā·qū·mū עַל־ at ‘al- יָמִין֮ my right ; yā·mîn שִׁלֵּ֑חוּ they lay snares šil·lê·ḥū רַגְלַ֥י for my feet raḡ·lay וַיָּסֹ֥לּוּ and build way·yā·sōl·lū אָרְח֥וֹת siege ramps ’ā·rə·ḥō·wṯ אֵידָֽם׃ . . . ’ê·ḏām עָ֝לַ֗י against me . ‘ā·lay Job 30:13 נָתְס֗וּ They tear up nā·ṯə·sū נְֽתִיבָ֫תִ֥י my path ; nə·ṯî·ḇā·ṯî יֹעִ֑ילוּ they profit yō·‘î·lū לְהַוָּתִ֥י from my destruction , lə·haw·wā·ṯî לֹ֖א with no one lō עֹזֵ֣ר to restrain ‘ō·zêr לָֽמוֹ׃ them . lā·mōw Job 30:14 יֶאֱתָ֑יוּ They advance ye·’ĕ·ṯā·yū רָחָ֣ב as through a wide rā·ḥāḇ
