וְלֹ֥א Thus we will not wə·lō נַעֲזֹ֖ב neglect na·‘ă·zōḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ of our God . ” ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū Nehemiah 11:1 שָׂרֵֽי־ Now the leaders śā·rê- הָעָ֖ם of the people hā·‘ām וַיֵּשְׁב֥וּ settled way·yê·šə·ḇū בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem , bî·rū·šā·lim וּשְׁאָ֣ר and the rest ū·šə·’ār הָ֠עָם of the people hā·‘ām הִפִּ֨ילוּ cast hip·pî·lū גוֹרָל֜וֹת lots ḡō·w·rā·lō·wṯ לְהָבִ֣יא׀ to bring lə·hā·ḇî אֶחָ֣ד one ’e·ḥāḏ מִן־ out min- הָעֲשָׂרָ֗ה of ten hā·‘ă·śā·rāh לָשֶׁ֙בֶת֙ to live lā·še·ḇeṯ הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ in the holy haq·qō·ḏeš עִ֣יר city ‘îr בִּֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ of Jerusalem , bî·rū·šā·lim וְתֵ֥שַׁע while wə·ṯê·ša‘ הַיָּד֖וֹת the remaining nine hay·yā·ḏō·wṯ בֶּעָרִֽים׃ [were to dwell] in [their own] towns . be·‘ā·rîm Nehemiah 11:2 הָעָ֑ם And the people hā·‘ām וַֽיְבָרֲכ֖וּ blessed way·ḇā·ră·ḵū לְכֹל֙ all lə·ḵōl הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הַמִּֽתְנַדְּבִ֔ים who volunteered ham·miṯ·nad·də·ḇîm לָשֶׁ֖בֶת to live lā·še·ḇeṯ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃פ in Jerusalem . bî·rū·šā·lim Nehemiah 11:3 וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ These wə·’êl·leh רָאשֵׁ֣י are the heads rā·šê הַמְּדִינָ֔ה of the provinces ham·mə·ḏî·nāh אֲשֶׁ֥ר who ’ă·šer יָשְׁב֖וּ settled yā·šə·ḇū בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem . bî·rū·šā·lim וּבְעָרֵ֣י (In the villages ū·ḇə·‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah, however , yə·hū·ḏāh אִ֤ישׁ each ’îš יָֽשְׁב֞וּ lived yā·šə·ḇū בַּאֲחֻזָּתוֹ֙ on his own property ba·’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw בְּעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם in their towns — bə·‘ā·rê·hem יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ priests , hak·kō·hă·nîm וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם Levites , wə·hal·wî·yim וְהַנְּתִינִ֔ים temple servants , wə·han·nə·ṯî·nîm וּבְנֵ֖י and descendants ū·ḇə·nê שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ of Solomon’s šə·lō·mōh עַבְדֵ֥י servants — ‘aḇ·ḏê Nehemiah 11:4 מִבְּנֵ֥י while some of the descendants mib·bə·nê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh בִנְיָמִ֑ן and Benjamin ḇin·yā·min יָֽשְׁב֔וּ settled yā·šə·ḇū וּבִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ in Jerusalem . ) ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim וּמִבְּנֵ֣י From the descendants ū·mib·bə·nê מִבְּנֵ֣י . . . mib·bə·nê יְ֠הוּדָה of Judah : yə·hū·ḏāh עֲתָיָ֨ה Athaiah ‘ă·ṯā·yāh בֶן־ son ḇen- עֻזִּיָּ֜ה of Uzziah , ‘uz·zî·yāh בֶּן־ the son ben- זְכַרְיָ֧ה of Zechariah , zə·ḵar·yāh בֶן־ the son ḇen- אֲמַרְיָ֛ה of Amariah , ’ă·mar·yāh בֶּן־ the son ben- שְׁפַטְיָ֥ה of Shephatiah , šə·p̄aṭ·yāh בֶן־ the son ḇen- מַהֲלַלְאֵ֖ל of Mahalalel , ma·hă·lal·’êl מִבְּנֵי־ a descendant mib·bə·nê- פָֽרֶץ׃ of Perez ; p̄ā·reṣ Nehemiah 11:5 וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֣ה and Maaseiah ū·ma·‘ă·śê·yāh בֶן־ son ḇen- בָּר֣וּךְ of Baruch , bā·rūḵ בֶּן־ the son ben- כָּל־ vvv kāl- חֹ֠זֶה of Col-hozeh , ḥō·zeh בֶּן־ the son ben- חֲזָיָ֨ה of Hazaiah , ḥă·zā·yāh בֶן־ the son ḇen- עֲדָיָ֧ה of Adaiah , ‘ă·ḏā·yāh בֶן־ the son ḇen- יוֹיָרִ֛יב of Joiarib , yō·w·yā·rîḇ בֶּן־ the son ben- זְכַרְיָ֖ה of Zechariah , zə·ḵar·yāh
