מְשֻׁלָּ֖ם of Meshullam mə·šul·lām בֶּ֥ן son ben בֶּֽרֶכְיָֽה׃ of Berechiah . be·reḵ·yāh Nehemiah 6:19 גַּ֣ם Moreover , gam הָי֤וּ these nobles kept hā·yū אֹמְרִים֙ reporting ’ō·mə·rîm לְפָנַ֔י to me lə·p̄ā·nay טוֹבֹתָ֗יו Tobiah’s good deeds , ṭō·w·ḇō·ṯāw מוֹצִיאִ֖ים and they relayed mō·w·ṣî·’îm וּדְבָרַ֕י my words ū·ḏə·ḇā·ray ל֑וֹ to him . lōw הָי֥וּ . . . hā·yū טוֹבִיָּ֖ה And Tobiah ṭō·w·ḇî·yāh שָׁלַ֥ח sent šā·laḥ אִגְּר֛וֹת letters ’ig·gə·rō·wṯ לְיָֽרְאֵֽנִי׃ to intimidate me . lə·yā·rə·’ê·nî Nehemiah 7:1 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר When ka·’ă·šer הַחוֹמָ֔ה the wall ha·ḥō·w·māh נִבְנְתָה֙ had been rebuilt niḇ·nə·ṯāh הַדְּלָת֑וֹת and I had set the doors had·də·lā·ṯō·wṯ וָאַעֲמִ֖יד in place , wā·’a·‘ă·mîḏ הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֥ים the gatekeepers , haš·šō·w·‘ă·rîm וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים singers , wə·ham·šō·rə·rîm וְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃ and Levites wə·hal·wî·yim וַיִּפָּֽקְד֛וּ were appointed . way·yip·pā·qə·ḏū Nehemiah 7:2 אָחִ֗י Then I put my brother ’ā·ḥî וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- חֲנָ֣נִי Hanani ḥă·nā·nî וָאֲצַוֶּ֞ה in charge wā·’ă·ṣaw·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַל־ of ‘al- יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim חֲנַנְיָ֛ה along with Hananiah ḥă·nan·yāh שַׂ֥ר the commander śar הַבִּירָ֖ה of the fortress , hab·bî·rāh כִּי־ because kî- הוּא֙ he hū אֱמֶ֔ת was a faithful ’ĕ·meṯ כְּאִ֣ישׁ man kə·’îš וְיָרֵ֥א who feared wə·yā·rê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm מֵרַבִּֽים׃ more than most . mê·rab·bîm Nehemiah 7:3 וַיֹּאמֶר And I told way·yō·mɛr לָהֶ֗ם them , lā·hem לֹ֣א “ Do not lō יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ open yip·pā·ṯə·ḥū שַׁעֲרֵ֤י the gates ša·‘ă·rê יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ the sun haš·še·meš חֹ֣ם is hot . ḥōm וְעַ֨ד While wə·‘aḏ הֵ֥ם the guards hêm עֹמְדִ֛ים are on duty , ‘ō·mə·ḏîm הַדְּלָת֖וֹת keep the doors had·də·lā·ṯō·wṯ יָגִ֥יפוּ shut yā·ḡî·p̄ū וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ and securely fastened . we·’ĕ·ḥō·zū וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד And appoint wə·ha·‘ă·mêḏ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י the residents yō·šə·ḇê יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ as guards , miš·mə·rō·wṯ אִ֚ישׁ some ’îš בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ at their posts bə·miš·mā·rōw וְאִ֖ישׁ and some wə·’îš נֶ֥גֶד at ne·ḡeḏ בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ their own homes . ” bê·ṯōw Nehemiah 7:4 וְהָעִ֞יר Now the city wə·hā·‘îr וּגְדוֹלָ֔ה was large ū·ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh רַחֲבַ֤ת and spacious ra·ḥă·ḇaṯ יָדַ֙יִם֙ . . . , yā·ḏa·yim מְעַ֖ט but there were few mə·‘aṭ וְהָעָ֥ם people wə·hā·‘ām בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ in it , bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh בָּתִּ֖ים and the houses bāt·tîm וְאֵ֥ין had not yet wə·’ên בְּנוּיִֽם׃ been rebuilt . bə·nū·yim Nehemiah 7:5 אֱלֹהַי֙ Then my God ’ĕ·lō·hay וַיִּתֵּ֤ן put it way·yit·tên אֶל־ into ’el- לִבִּ֔י my heart lib·bî
