אָבִ֖י my father ’ā·ḇî דָּוִ֥יד David , dā·wîḏ וְהִמְלַכְתַּ֖נִי and You have made me king wə·him·laḵ·ta·nî תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ in his place . taḥ·tāw 2 Chronicles 1:9 עַתָּה֙ Now , ‘at·tāh יְהוָ֣ה O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֔ים God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm דְּבָ֣רְךָ֔ let Your promise də·ḇā·rə·ḵā עִ֖ם to ‘im אָבִ֑י my father ’ā·ḇî דָּוִ֣יד David dā·wîḏ יֵֽאָמֵן֙ be fulfilled . yê·’ā·mên כִּ֤י For kî אַתָּה֙ You ’at·tāh הִמְלַכְתַּ֔נִי have made me king him·laḵ·ta·nî עַל־ over ‘al- עַ֕ם a people ‘am רַ֖ב as numerous raḇ כַּעֲפַ֥ר as the dust ka·‘ă·p̄ar הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ 2 Chronicles 1:10 עַתָּ֗ה Now ‘at·tāh תֶּן־ grant ten- לִ֔י me lî חָכְמָ֤ה wisdom ḥāḵ·māh וּמַדָּע֙ and knowledge , ū·mad·dā‘ וְאֵֽצְאָ֛ה so that I may lead wə·’ê·ṣə·’āh לִפְנֵ֥י . . . lip̄·nê וְאָב֑וֹאָה . . . wə·’ā·ḇō·w·’āh הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh הָֽעָם־ people . hā·‘ām- כִּֽי־ For kî- מִ֣י who mî יִשְׁפֹּ֔ט is able to govern yiš·pōṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh הַגָּדֽוֹל׃ס great hag·gā·ḏō·wl עַמְּךָ֥ people of Yours ?” ‘am·mə·ḵā 2 Chronicles 1:11 אֱלֹהִ֣ים׀ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר־ said way·yō·mer- לִשְׁלֹמֹ֡ה to Solomon , liš·lō·mōh יַ֣עַן “ Since ya·‘an אֲשֶׁר֩ - ’ă·šer זֹ֜את this zōṯ הָיְתָ֨ה was hā·yə·ṯāh עִם־ in ‘im- לְבָבֶ֗ךָ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇe·ḵā וְלֹֽא־ instead of wə·lō·šā- שָׁ֠אַלְתָּ requesting ’al·tā עֹ֣שֶׁר riches ‘ō·šer נְכָסִ֤ים or wealth nə·ḵā·sîm וְכָבוֹד֙ or glory [for yourself] wə·ḵā·ḇō·wḏ וְאֵת֙ or wə·’êṯ נֶ֣פֶשׁ death ne·p̄eš שֹׂנְאֶ֔יךָ for your enemies — śō·nə·’e·ḵā לֹ֣א and since you have not lō וְגַם־ even wə·ḡam- שָׁאָ֑לְתָּ requested šā·’ā·lə·tā רַבִּ֖ים long rab·bîm יָמִ֥ים life yā·mîm וַתִּֽשְׁאַל־ but have asked wat·tiš·’al- לְךָ֙ lə·ḵā חָכְמָ֣ה for wisdom ḥāḵ·māh וּמַדָּ֔ע and knowledge ū·mad·dā‘ אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer תִּשְׁפּוֹט֙ to govern tiš·pō·wṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַמִּ֔י My people ‘am·mî עָלָֽיו׃ over ‘ā·lāw אֲשֶׁ֥ר whom ’ă·šer הִמְלַכְתִּ֖יךָ I have made you king — him·laḵ·tî·ḵā 2 Chronicles 1:12 הַֽחָכְמָ֥ה therefore wisdom ha·ḥā·ḵə·māh וְהַמַּדָּ֖ע and knowledge wə·ham·mad·dā‘ נָת֣וּן have been granted nā·ṯūn לָ֑ךְ to you . lāḵ אֶתֶּן־ And I will also give ’et·ten- לָ֔ךְ you lāḵ וְעֹ֨שֶׁר riches wə·‘ō·šer וּנְכָסִ֤ים and wealth ū·nə·ḵā·sîm וְכָבוֹד֙ and honor wə·ḵā·ḇō·wḏ לֹא־ unlike lō- כֵ֗ן . . . ḵên אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ anything ’ă·šer הָ֣יָה - hā·yāh לַמְּלָכִים֙ given to the kings lam·mə·lā·ḵîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer לְפָנֶ֔יךָ before you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā יִֽהְיֶה־ [or] yih·yeh- כֵּֽן׃ . . . kên
