בָנִ֜ים sons ḇā·nîm לְהֵימָ֗ן of Heman lə·hê·mān הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ the king’s ham·me·leḵ חֹזֵ֥ה seer ḥō·zêh בְּדִבְרֵ֥י [were given him] through the promises bə·ḏiḇ·rê הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm לְהָרִ֣ים to exalt lə·hā·rîm קָ֑רֶן him , qā·ren הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים for God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיִּתֵּ֨ן had given way·yit·tên לְהֵימָ֗ן Heman lə·hê·mān אַרְבָּעָ֥ה fourteen ’ar·bā·‘āh עָשָׂ֖ר . . . ‘ā·śār בָּנִ֛ים sons bā·nîm שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ and three šā·lō·wōš וּבָנ֥וֹת daughters . ū·ḇā·nō·wṯ 1 Chronicles 25:6 כָּל־ All kāl- אֵ֣לֶּה these [were] ’êl·leh עַל־ under ‘al- יְדֵי֩ the direction yə·ḏê אֲבִיהֶ֨ם of their fathers ’ă·ḇî·hem בַּשִּׁ֜יר for the music baš·šîr בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ with cymbals , bim·ṣil·ta·yim נְבָלִ֣ים harps , nə·ḇā·lîm וְכִנֹּר֔וֹת and lyres , wə·ḵin·nō·rō·wṯ לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת for the service la·‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אָסָ֥ף Asaph , ’ā·sāp̄ וִידוּת֖וּן Jeduthun , wî·ḏū·ṯūn וְהֵימָֽן׃ and Heman wə·hê·mān עַ֚ל were under ‘al יְדֵ֣י the direction yə·ḏê הַמֶּ֔לֶךְס of the king . ham·mɛ·lɛḵs 1 Chronicles 25:7 עִם־ Together with ‘im- אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם their relatives , ’ă·ḥê·hem כָּל־ who were all kāl- מְלֻמְּדֵי־ trained mə·lum·mə·ḏê- הַ֨מֵּבִ֔ין and skillful ham·mê·ḇîn שִׁ֖יר in the songs šîr לַיהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וַיְהִ֤י - way·hî מִסְפָּרָם֙ they numbered mis·pā·rām מָאתַ֖יִם 288 mā·ṯa·yim שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים . . . šə·mō·w·nîm וּשְׁמוֹנָֽה׃ . . . . ū·šə·mō·w·nāh 1 Chronicles 25:8 וַיַּפִּ֜ילוּ They cast way·yap·pî·lū גּוֹרָל֣וֹת lots gō·w·rā·lō·wṯ מִשְׁמֶ֗רֶת for their duties , miš·me·reṯ לְעֻמַּת֙ . . . lə·‘um·maṯ כַּקָּטֹ֣ן young kaq·qā·ṭōn כַּגָּד֔וֹל and old alike , kag·gā·ḏō·wl מֵבִ֖ין teacher mê·ḇîn עִם־ as ‘im- תַּלְמִֽיד׃פ well as pupil . tal·mîḏ 1 Chronicles 25:9 הָרִאשׁ֛וֹן The first hā·ri·šō·wn הַגּוֹרָ֧ל lot , hag·gō·w·rāl לְאָסָ֖ף [which was] for Asaph , lə·’ā·sāp̄ וַיֵּצֵ֞א fell way·yê·ṣê לְיוֹסֵ֑ף to Joseph, [his sons, and his brothers—12 in all] ; lə·yō·w·sêp̄ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י the second haš·šê·nî גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ to Gedaliah gə·ḏal·yā·hū הֽוּא־ - , hū- וּבָנָ֖יו his sons , ū·ḇā·nāw וְאֶחָ֥יו and his brothers — wə·’e·ḥāw שְׁנֵ֥ים 12 [in all] šə·nêm עָשָֽׂר׃ . . . ; ‘ā·śār 1 Chronicles 25:10 הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֣י the third haš·šə·li·šî זַכּ֔וּר to Zaccur , zak·kūr בָּנָ֥יו his sons , bā·nāw וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brothers — wə·’e·ḥāw שְׁנֵ֥ים 12 [in all] šə·nêm עָשָֽׂר׃ . . . ; ‘ā·śār 1 Chronicles 25:11 הָרְבִיעִי֙ the fourth hā·rə·ḇî·‘î לַיִּצְרִ֔י to Izri , lay·yiṣ·rî בָּנָ֥יו his sons , bā·nāw וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brothers — wə·’e·ḥāw שְׁנֵ֥ים 12 [in all] šə·nêm עָשָֽׂר׃ . . . ; ‘ā·śār
