מְרֻבָּע֖וֹת square , mə·rub·bā·‘ō·wṯ לֹ֥א not lō עֲגֻלּֽוֹת׃ round . ‘ă·ḡul·lō·wṯ 1 Kings 7:32 וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת There were four wə·’ar·ba·‘aṯ הָאֽוֹפַנִּ֗ים wheels hā·’ō·w·p̄an·nîm לְמִתַּ֙חַת֙ under lə·mit·ta·ḥaṯ לַֽמִּסְגְּר֔וֹת the panels , lam·mis·gə·rō·wṯ וִיד֥וֹת and the axles wî·ḏō·wṯ הָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים of the wheels hā·’ō·w·p̄an·nîm בַּמְּכוֹנָ֑ה were attached to the stand ; bam·mə·ḵō·w·nāh הָאֶחָ֔ד each hā·’e·ḥāḏ הָאוֹפַ֣ן wheel hā·’ō·w·p̄an אַמָּ֖ה [was] a cubit ’am·māh וַחֲצִ֥י and a half wa·ḥă·ṣî הָאַמָּֽה׃ . . . hā·’am·māh וְקוֹמַת֙ in diameter . wə·qō·w·maṯ 1 Kings 7:33 הָא֣וֹפַנִּ֔ים The wheels hā·’ō·w·p̄an·nîm וּמַֽעֲשֵׂה֙ were made ū·ma·‘ă·śêh כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֖ה like kə·ma·‘ă·śêh הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֑ה chariot ham·mer·kā·ḇāh אוֹפַ֣ן wheels ; ’ō·w·p̄an יְדוֹתָ֣ם their axles , yə·ḏō·w·ṯām וְגַבֵּיהֶ֗ם rims , wə·ḡab·bê·hem וְחִשֻּׁקֵיהֶ֛ם spokes , wə·ḥiš·šu·qê·hem וְחִשֻּׁרֵיהֶ֖ם and hubs wə·ḥiš·šu·rê·hem הַכֹּ֥ל were all hak·kōl מוּצָֽק׃ of cast metal . mū·ṣāq 1 Kings 7:34 הָֽאֶחָ֑ת Each hā·’e·ḥāṯ הַמְּכֹנָ֖ה stand ham·mə·ḵō·nāh אֶ֚ל had ’el וְאַרְבַּ֣ע four wə·’ar·ba‘ כְּתֵפ֔וֹת handles , kə·ṯê·p̄ō·wṯ אַרְבַּ֣ע [one for each] ’ar·ba‘ פִּנּ֔וֹת corner , pin·nō·wṯ כְּתֵפֶֽיהָ׃ projecting kə·ṯê·p̄e·hā מִן־ from min- הַמְּכֹנָ֖ה the stand . ham·mə·ḵō·nāh 1 Kings 7:35 וּבְרֹ֣אשׁ At the top ū·ḇə·rōš הַמְּכוֹנָ֗ה of each stand ham·mə·ḵō·w·nāh עָגֹ֣ל׀ [was] a circular ‘ā·ḡōl סָבִ֑יב band sā·ḇîḇ חֲצִ֧י half ḥă·ṣî הָאַמָּ֛ה a cubit hā·’am·māh קוֹמָ֖ה high . qō·w·māh יְדֹתֶ֔יהָ The supports yə·ḏō·ṯe·hā וּמִסְגְּרֹתֶ֖יהָ and panels ū·mis·gə·rō·ṯe·hā מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ were cast as a unit mim·men·nāh וְעַ֨ל with wə·‘al רֹ֤אשׁ the top rōš הַמְּכֹנָה֙ of the stand . ham·mə·ḵō·nāh 1 Kings 7:36 וַיְפַתַּ֤ח He engraved way·p̄at·taḥ כְּרוּבִ֖ים cherubim , kə·rū·ḇîm אֲרָי֣וֹת lions , ’ă·rā·yō·wṯ וְתִמֹרֹ֑ת and palm trees wə·ṯi·mō·rōṯ עַל־ on ‘al- הַלֻּחֹת֙ the surfaces hal·lu·ḥōṯ יְדֹתֶ֔יהָ of the supports yə·ḏō·ṯe·hā וְעַל֙ and wə·‘al וּמִסְגְּרֹתֶיהָ panels , ū·mis·gə·rō·ṯɛ·hå̄ אִ֥ישׁ wherever each ’îš כְּמַֽעַר־ had space , kə·ma·‘ar- וְלֹי֖וֹת with wreaths wə·lō·yō·wṯ סָבִֽיב׃ all around . sā·ḇîḇ 1 Kings 7:37 כָּזֹ֣את In this way kā·zōṯ עָשָׂ֔ה he made ‘ā·śāh אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ עֶ֣שֶׂר the ten ‘e·śer הַמְּכֹנ֑וֹת stands , ham·mə·ḵō·nō·wṯ לְכֻלָּֽהְנָה׃ס each lə·ḵul·lā·hə·nāh אֶחָ֖ד with the same ’e·ḥāḏ מוּצָ֨ק casting , mū·ṣāq אֶחָ֜ד . . . ’e·ḥāḏ מִדָּ֥ה dimensions , mid·dāh אַחַ֛ת . . . ’a·ḥaṯ קֶ֥צֶב and shape . qe·ṣeḇ 1 Kings 7:38 וַיַּ֛עַשׂ He also made way·ya·‘aś עֲשָׂרָ֥ה ten ‘ă·śā·rāh נְחֹ֑שֶׁת bronze nə·ḥō·šeṯ כִיֹּר֖וֹת basins , ḵî·yō·rō·wṯ
