Ezekiel 4:15 רְאֵ֗ה “ Look , ” rə·’êh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר He replied way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י . . . , ’ê·lay נָתַ֤תִּֽי “ I will let nā·ṯat·tî לְךָ֙ you lə·ḵā אֶת־ ’eṯ- הַבָּקָ֔ר use cow hab·bā·qār צְפוּעֵי dung ṣə·p̄ū·ʿē תַּ֖חַת instead of ta·ḥaṯ הָֽאָדָ֑ם human hā·’ā·ḏām גֶּלְלֵ֣י excrement , gel·lê וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ and you may bake wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- לַחְמְךָ֖ your bread laḥ·mə·ḵā עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ס over that . ” ‘ă·lê·hem Ezekiel 4:16 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר Then He told way·yō·mer אֵלַ֗י me , ’ê·lay בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָם֙ of man , ’ā·ḏām הִנְנִ֨י . . . hin·nî שֹׁבֵ֤ר I am going to cut off šō·ḇêr מַטֵּה־ the supply maṭ·ṭêh- לֶ֙חֶם֙ of food le·ḥem בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם in Jerusalem . bî·rū·šā·lim וּבִדְאָגָ֑ה They will anxiously ū·ḇiḏ·’ā·ḡāh וְאָכְלוּ־ eat wə·’ā·ḵə·lū- לֶ֥חֶם bread le·ḥem בְּמִשְׁקָ֖ל rationed by weight , bə·miš·qāl וּבְשִׁמָּמ֖וֹן and in despair ū·ḇə·šim·mā·mō·wn יִשְׁתּֽוּ׃ they will drink yiš·tū וּמַ֕יִם water ū·ma·yim בִּמְשׂוּרָ֥ה by measure . bim·śū·rāh Ezekiel 4:17 לְמַ֥עַן So lə·ma·‘an יַחְסְר֖וּ they will lack yaḥ·sə·rū לֶ֣חֶם food le·ḥem וָמָ֑יִם and water ; wā·mā·yim וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ they will be appalled wə·nā·šam·mū אִ֣ישׁ [at the sight of] one ’îš וְאָחִ֔יו another wə·’ā·ḥîw וְנָמַ֖קּוּ wasting away wə·nā·maq·qū בַּעֲוֺנָֽם׃פ in their iniquity . [’’] ba·‘ă·wō·nām Ezekiel 5:1 וְאַתָּ֨ה [“] As for you , wə·’at·tāh בֶן־ son ḇen- אָדָ֜ם of man , ’ā·ḏām קַח־ take qaḥ- לְךָ֣׀ lə·ḵā חַדָּ֗ה a sharp ḥad·dāh חֶ֣רֶב sword , ḥe·reḇ תִּקָּחֶ֣נָּה use it tiq·qā·ḥen·nāh לָּ֔ךְ lāḵ הַגַּלָּבִים֙ as a barber’s hag·gal·lā·ḇîm תַּ֤עַר razor , ta·‘ar וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ֥ and shave wə·ha·‘ă·ḇar·tā עַל־ . . . ‘al- רֹאשְׁךָ֖ your head rō·šə·ḵā וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- זְקָנֶ֑ךָ and beard . zə·qā·ne·ḵā וְלָקַחְתָּ֥ Then take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā לְךָ֛ lə·ḵā מֹאזְנֵ֥י a set of scales mō·zə·nê מִשְׁקָ֖ל . . . miš·qāl וְחִלַּקְתָּֽם׃ and divide the hair . wə·ḥil·laq·tām Ezekiel 5:2 יְמֵ֣י When the days yə·mê הַמָּצ֑וֹר of the siege ham·mā·ṣō·wr כִּמְלֹ֖את have ended , kim·lōṯ תַּבְעִיר֙ you are to burn up taḇ·‘îr שְׁלִשִׁ֗ית a third [of the hair] šə·li·šîṯ בָּא֤וּר . . . bā·’ūr בְּת֣וֹךְ inside bə·ṯō·wḵ הָעִ֔יר the city ; hā·‘îr וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֣ you are also to take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֗ית a third haš·šə·li·šîṯ תַּכֶּ֤ה and slash tak·keh בַחֶ֙רֶב֙ it with the sword ḇa·ḥe·reḇ סְבִ֣יבוֹתֶ֔יהָ all around the city ; sə·ḇî·ḇō·w·ṯe·hā תִּזְרֶ֣ה and you are to scatter tiz·reh וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙ a third wə·haš·šə·li·šîṯ לָר֔וּחַ to the wind . lā·rū·aḥ אָרִ֥יק For I will unleash ’ā·rîq וְחֶ֖רֶב a sword wə·ḥe·reḇ אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ behind them . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem Ezekiel 5:3 וְלָקַחְתָּ֥ But you are to take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā מִשָּׁ֖ם . . . miš·šām מְעַ֣ט a few mə·‘aṭ
