Genesis 1:8 אֱלֹהִ֛ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיִּקְרָ֧א called way·yiq·rā לָֽרָקִ֖יעַ the expanse lā·rā·qî·a‘ שָׁמָ֑יִם “ sky . ” šā·mā·yim וַֽיְהִי־ And there was way·hî- עֶ֥רֶב evening , ‘e·reḇ וַֽיְהִי־ and there was way·hî- בֹ֖קֶר morning — ḇō·qer שֵׁנִֽי׃פ the second šê·nî י֥וֹם day . yō·wm Genesis 1:9 אֱלֹהִ֗ים And God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer הַמַּ֜יִם “ Let the waters ham·ma·yim מִתַּ֤חַת under mit·ta·ḥaṯ הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ the sky haš·šā·ma·yim יִקָּו֨וּ be gathered yiq·qā·wū אֶל־ into ’el- אֶחָ֔ד one ’e·ḥāḏ מָק֣וֹם place , mā·qō·wm הַיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה so that the dry [land] hay·yab·bā·šāh וְתֵרָאֶ֖ה may appear . ” wə·ṯê·rā·’eh וַֽיְהִי־ And it was way·hî- כֵֽן׃ so . ḵên Genesis 1:10 אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיִּקְרָ֨א called way·yiq·rā לַיַּבָּשָׁה֙ the dry [land] lay·yab·bā·šāh אֶ֔רֶץ “ earth , ” ’e·retz וּלְמִקְוֵ֥ה and the gathering ū·lə·miq·wêh הַמַּ֖יִם of waters ham·ma·yim קָרָ֣א He called qā·rā יַמִּ֑ים “ seas . ” yam·mîm אֱלֹהִ֖ים And God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיַּ֥רְא saw way·yar כִּי־ that kî- טֽוֹב׃ [it was] good . ṭō·wḇ Genesis 1:11 אֱלֹהִ֗ים Then God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ “ Let the earth hā·’ā·reṣ תַּֽדְשֵׁ֤א bring forth taḏ·šê דֶּ֔שֶׁא vegetation : de·še מַזְרִ֣יעַ seed-bearing maz·rî·a‘ זֶ֔רַע . . . ze·ra‘ עֵ֚שֶׂב plants ‘ê·śeḇ פְּרִ֞י and fruit pə·rî עֵ֣ץ trees , ‘êṣ עֹ֤שֶׂה each bearing ‘ō·śeh פְּרִי֙ fruit pə·rî זַרְעוֹ־ with seed zar·‘ōw- לְמִינ֔וֹ according to its kind lə·mî·nōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר blessing ’ă·šer ב֖וֹ - ḇōw עַל־ upon ‘al- הָאָ֑רֶץ the earth hā·’ā·retz וַֽיְהִי־ And it was way·hî- כֵֽן׃ so . ḵên Genesis 1:12 הָאָ֜רֶץ The earth hā·’ā·retz וַתּוֹצֵ֨א produced wat·tō·w·ṣê דֶּ֠שֶׁא vegetation : de·še מַזְרִ֤יעַ seed-bearing maz·rî·a‘ זֶ֙רַע֙ . . . ze·ra‘ עֵ֣שֶׂב plants ‘ê·śeḇ לְמִינֵ֔הוּ according to their kinds lə·mî·nê·hū וְעֵ֧ץ and trees wə·‘êṣ עֹֽשֶׂה־ bearing ‘ō·śeh- פְּרִ֛י fruit pə·rî אֲשֶׁ֥ר blessing ’ă·šer זַרְעוֹ־ with seed zar·‘ōw- ב֖וֹ . . . ḇōw לְמִינֵ֑הוּ according to their kinds . lə·mî·nê·hū אֱלֹהִ֖ים And God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיַּ֥רְא saw way·yar כִּי־ that kî- טֽוֹב׃ it was good . ṭō·wḇ Genesis 1:13 וַֽיְהִי־ And there was way·hî- עֶ֥רֶב evening , ‘e·reḇ וַֽיְהִי־ and there was way·hî- בֹ֖קֶר morning — ḇō·qer שְׁלִישִֽׁי׃פ the third šə·lî·šî י֥וֹם day . yō·wm Genesis 1:14 אֱלֹהִ֗ים And God ’ĕ·lō·hîm
